I’m not the type to mince words, so I’ll say it straight: Village Pizza has the best pizza in Okc! From their fluffy crusts to their bubbly cheese and outrageous toppings, this place is a pizza lover’s dream.

I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention the variety of specialty pizzas they make. From prosciutto and arugula to chorizo with jalapenos, they’ve got it all! I’m especially fond of their Mediterranean style pizzas – the combination of feta, olives, tomatoes, onions, garlic and oregano on top of a cheesey crust is unbeatable.

I’m confident in this assessment because the pizza slices at Luigi’s are massive, like eating a giant sunset. The cheese is plentiful and oh-so melty, the sauce is tangy and flavorful, and their crusts are perfectly cooked with just the right amount of crunch.
And as if all that wasn’t enough, Luigi’s also serves up some unique pizzas you won’t find anywhere else. I had their Spaghetti Pizza which was unlike anything I’d ever tasted before—it was delicious!
What really puts Luigi’s over the top is their friendly staff. Everyone from the hostess to the cashier went out of their way to make my experience enjoyable and comfortable.

Best Deep Dish Pizza – Birra Birra Craft Pizzeria
- Has insanely good dessert
- Serves alcohol (and hard liquor!)
- Great place to watch sports
- Nice tourist spot
- Has some vegetarian options
Now, I’m not saying I’ve tried every deep dish pizza in the city, but I’ve sampled enough cheesy, saucy goodness to know when I’ve stumbled upon something special. And boy, did I stumble upon a goldmine at Birra Birra.
First of all, let’s talk about the crust. This thing is a masterpiece. It’s buttery, it’s flaky, it’s crispy on the outside and perfectly doughy on the inside. I couldn’t help but do a little happy dance after my first bite. It’s like a symphony of dough and delight in my mouth.
And the toppings, oh the toppings! They don’t skimp here, that’s for sure. I loaded mine up with pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms, and every other delicious thing they had to offer. Each bite was a flavor explosion, a party in my taste buds. I could practically hear them singing Hallelujah!
Now, let’s address the elephant in the room. Yes, deep dish pizza is known for being a gut-buster. But guess what? I didn’t care. I was in pizza heaven, and a few extra pounds were a small price to pay for such king-sized satisfaction. Besides, with every bite, I could feel my metabolism going into overdrive, preparing itself for the inevitable food coma.
So, if you find yourself in oklahoma city and craving some deep dish pizza, don’t even bother looking elsewhere. Birra Birra Craft Pizzeria is the place to go. Trust me, I’ve been around the pizza block, and this place is a little slice of cheesy, saucy heaven.
Best Thin Crust Pizza – Pizzeria Gusto
- Serves alcohol (and hard liquor!)
- Has some vegetarian options
- Nice tourist spot
- Has insanely good dessert
- No delivery
Let me start by saying that Pizzeria Gusto knows how to keep their patrons happy. How, you ask? Booze. Glorious booze. Not only do they serve alcohol, but they also have hard liquor! It’s like they know the secret to making a perfect pizza is a little liquid courage. As a food critic, I appreciate a place that understands my need for a well-rounded dining experience.
Now, let’s talk about their pizza. The thin crust at Pizzeria Gusto is so thin, it’s practically invisible. I swear, it’s like eating pizza on a cracker. And you know what? It’s absolutely delicious. The crust is crispy, the cheese is gooey, and the toppings are fresh and plentiful. They even have some vegetarian options for my non-meat eating friends. Way to go, Pizzeria Gusto, for being inclusive to all pizza lovers!
But wait, there’s more! Pizzeria Gusto has the best dessert you can find in town. Their tiramisu is a divine revelation. It’s like an Italian grandmother sneaked into the kitchen and sprinkled it with magic. I would come here just for the dessert alone.
The only downside to Pizzeria Gusto is that they don’t offer delivery. I mean, come on! I’m a food critic, not an Olympic athlete. Sometimes I just want to enjoy their mouthwatering pizza from the comfort of my couch in my sweatpants. But hey, I guess it’s a good thing they’re located in a nice tourist spot. At least I have an excuse to put on real pants when I visit.
Best Wood Fired Pizza – Upper Crust Wood Fired Pizza

- Great place to watch sports
Let me just start by saying that Upper Crust Wood Fired Pizza knows how to make a pie that’ll make your taste buds explode with joy. As soon as I walked in, the delicious scent of fresh dough being baked in the wood-fired oven hit me like a punch in the face, but in a good way.
The menu is filled with so many mouthwatering options, it’s like trying to choose a favorite child. Should I go for the classic Margherita or take a walk on the wild side with the Bacon and Gorgonzola? Decisions, decisions! Thankfully, the staff was super friendly and patient as I weighed my delicious options.
When my pizza arrived, my eyes widened like a kid in a candy store. The crust was perfectly crispy and had just the right amount of char from the wood-fired oven. I could tell that each ingredient was carefully selected, because every bite was bursting with flavor. And let me tell you, I’ve had my fair share of pizza, but none quite like this.
