The atmosphere was great, there were plenty of TVs playing all the latest sports, so it’s a great place to watch the game and enjoy some pizza at the same time. And if you need to wind down after an intense game, American Cheez has you covered with their selection of alcohol–yes, even hard liquor!
Unfortunately for those that can’t make it down to the restaurant, American Cheez doesn’t offer delivery. Bummer! That being said I don’t think that really takes away from their incredible pizza. The crust was nice and thin with just the right amount of charring from the oven and the toppings were extremely fresh and flavorful. There truly is no better pizza in Park Slope Brooklyn–at least not according to this traveling food critic!

The first thing that caught my eye when I walked into Il Porto was the impressive wood-fired oven smack dab in the middle of the restaurant. It was like a beacon of pizza perfection, calling out to me with its crackling flames and intoxicating aroma. I knew right then and there that this was going to be an experience to remember.
