My experience started the moment I stepped in the door. I was immediately drawn to the cozy atmosphere that made me feel as if I had stepped into an Italian villa. The owner, Deroma, greeted us with a warm smile and took us to our table.
The menu was impressive with delicious pizzas made from only the freshest ingredients. But what really caught my eye were the unique toppings like artichoke hearts, kalamata olives, fire-roasted peppers, and prosciutto – all of which give the pizza a distinctive flavor.
But it’s not just about looks or interesting ingredients; it’s also about flavor. The pizza dough is perfectly cooked and has just enough crunch when you bite into it. The sauce is also incredibly fresh and flavorful, adding a nice balance to the individual ingredients on top.

The atmosphere of Massey’s is fantastic, the staff are very friendly and make you feel like you’re at home. The restaurant itself looks like a cozy little Italian pizzeria and they have over sixty different pizzas to choose from!
The pizza was delicious, with fresh ingredients and lots of flavorful toppings. The crust was perfectly crispy and not too thick which I really appreciate in a great pizza. I had the special of the day—a Mexican-style pizza with chorizo, jalapenos, and cilantro—and it was flavorful without being too spicy for my palate.
I also had one of their famous calzones which were to die for. The cheese oozed out from every corner and the sauce was amazing. If you’re looking for something a little bit more interesting than your traditional pizza, then this is definitely worth a try!
Overall, Massey’s Pizza Pawleys Island is simply the best when it comes to pizza in Pawleys Island. From their selection of delicious pizzas to their warm atmosphere, it’s an absolute must-try if you’re in town!

I was quite impressed with their commitment to quality and customer service during my visit. Every employee was friendly and helpful, taking time to answer any questions I had about their pizzas and specials. And, the pizzas were cooked to order and came out piping hot!
