The town itself may not be the most glamorous place I’ve visited, but the pizza scene here makes it well worth the trip. After tasting 12 different pizzas, I’m ready to share my findings and crown Plattsburgh’s Best Pizza!

#1 Hobie’s Sports Den

I mean, I’ve had pizza in Italy that was okay, and even some decent slices in New York City. But none of them compare to the greatness that is Hobie’s Sports Den!

The first thing that you’ll notice when you walk into Hobie’s is the atmosphere. Not only does it provide a great sports atmosphere with all the TVs playing the big games, but its also has a great vibe that makes you feel like your at home.

The food on offer is awesome too! The pizzas are absolutely delicious – they come with a wide variety of toppings and cheeses, so there’s something for everyone. And if you’re feeling extra hungry, there are plenty of other offerings as well – calzones, garlic knots, wings, etc – all made to perfection.

If I had to sum up my experience at Hobie’s Sports Den in one word? Magnifico! If you’re ever in Plattsburgh NY and looking for some truly amazing pizza – this is definitely the place for you!

#2 New York Pizza

The restaurant has a great atmosphere and decor, making it feel like home from the minute you walk in. The staff was very friendly and attentive throughout my meal, which made for an even better experience.

I was there for their specialty pies and wasn’t disappointed in the slightest bit! Their New York style pizza was spot on – lots of cheese, a little grease, not too much sauce and just the right amount of crunch. It’s definitely worth trying if you’re in town!

When I first walked in to Monopole, I was immediately impressed. The atmosphere is inviting and the staff is extremely friendly. Every aspect of the restaurant screams quality. From the décor, to the professionals manning the wood-fired oven – everything about Monopole exudes excellence.

I went with a friend and we decided to split a classic Margherita pizza. When it arrived at our table we were both struck by how beautiful it looked! The cheese was perfectly melted and each bite was packed full of tomato sauce, basil, and fresh mozzarella flavor.

One thing that really stands out for me about Monopole’s pizza is its crust. It has just the right amount of crunchiness on the outside while still being soft and chewy on the inside – it really can’t be beat!

But enough about atmosphere! Onto the pizza! This is what Armitto’s does best. They offer a wide variety of classic pizzas like Pepperoni, Margherita, and Hawaiian as well as some unique options such as Eggplant Ricotta or Mediterranean Spinach pies. All topped with their signature sauce that has just the right amount of tanginess to bring out all the flavors of the toppings.

The crust was cooked perfectly – crunchy on the outside and soft within – which easily puts this pizzeria at my top spot for best pizza in Plattsburgh NY!
