On a mission to find the best pizza in the area, I’ve tried 12 different restaurants and have come up with some clear winners!

It wasn’t an easy task — but nothing worth doing ever is. However, after sampling each place’s offerings, it was clear to me that some stood out amongst the rest…and stood tall above all else.

#1 Pauly’s Pizzeria & Sub Co.

I’m always hesitant to try the pizzas at local joints, but this place exceeded my expectations. The crust was thin and crispy with just the right amount of salty flavor. The toppings were piled high and fresh, not to mention delicious.

The service was also top notch; many restaurants skimp on customer service but not here! Everyone was super friendly and eager to make sure I had a great experience.

If you’re looking for a great pizza experience in Rapid City SD, I highly recommend Pauly’s Pizzeria & Sub Co. It managed to surprise me even after all my travels, so you know they must be doing something right!

#2 Blaze Pizza

I arrived at Blaze Pizza and was immediately impressed with the atmosphere. The place oozes pizza passion – from the decor to the staff to the menu. I was particularly intrigued by the fact that they make their own dough and offer a selection of craft beers.

When it came time to order, I went for the classic margherita pizza – and it certainly didn’t disappoint! The thin, crispy crust was light and flavorful – exactly what you want in a great pizza. The sauce was perfectly balanced, not too acidic or sweet – just right! And the vegetables were cooked to absolute perfection. I’ve eaten all sorts of pizzas around the world, but this one certainly stands out among them.

Overall, Blaze Pizza offers some of the best pizza in Rapid City SD. Aesthetically pleasing decor combined with made-from-scratch dough and high-quality ingredients makes this one of my top choices when it comes to great tasting pizza!

#3 Blaze Pizza

The crust was perfectly thin and light, with a perfect combination of chewy and crunchy. The sauce was rich and flavorful, much better than the watered-down stuff I’ve had elsewhere. The cheese was oh-so gooey and melted in a delightful way, making it impossible to resist.

But what really blew me away were the toppings! They have all the classic choices, from pepperoni to artichoke hearts, but they also have some unique options like fig and prosciutto. Whatever topping you choose will be fresh and delicious!

The staff at Blaze Pizza were also fantastic, which made my experience even better. They were friendly and helpful, offering great advice on what combinations to try. The restaurant is also incredibly clean and well-maintained; it’s obvious that the people here take great pride in their work.

Overall, this is definitely one of the best places for pizza in Rapid City SD!

#4 Marco’s Pizza

The atmosphere is always welcoming, and the staff makes sure that you feel right at home. On my first visit, I was welcomed with a friendly handshake and a delicious slice of the restaurant’s signature ‘Marco Special’ – a blend of tomato sauce, cheese, pepperoni, and Italian sausage. From the first bite to the last, it was clear that Marco’s did not cut any corners when it came to flavor.

I tried a few other items from their menu and none disappointed! Their thin crust pizza is especially noteworthy as it has just the right amount of crispiness without being overly crunchy. The Veggie Supreme also caught my eye with its combination of mushrooms, olives, bell peppers, onions, pineapple, banana peppers and extra cheese. All three components – crust, toppings and cheese – were cooked perfectly with every bite having just enough flavor yet still remaining light on your palate.

Overall I can honestly say that Marco’s has been one of my favorite pizzerias so far on my travels – great atmosphere and even better food! If you’re ever in Rapid City SD make sure to give this place try – you won’t be disappointed!

#5 Piesano’s Pacchia

I was initially drawn in by the rustic Italian decor that makes you feel right at home when you walk in. The ambiance alone is enough to make anyone want to stay a while.

The pizza itself is the real star here though, and it lives up to its hype. The wood-fired oven gives their pies an amazing flavor that cannot be replicated elsewhere. The dough is perfectly crisp and chewy, with just the right amount of char for a delicious smoky flavor.

The topping selection is top-notch, with classic options like pepperoni and sausage as well as more creative combinations such as mufalatta and eggplant parmesan. No matter what choice you make, it will always be fresh and delicious!

To top it all off, Piesano’s Pacchia has friendly staff willing to go the extra mile to ensure your dining experience is perfect. They were quick to offer suggestions and recommendations when I couldn’t decide which pizza I wanted.

I have rather high expectations when it comes to pizza, and Papa Murphy’s does not disappoint. The crust is always perfectly cooked and oh-so-flavorful, and the toppings are always fresh, flavorful, and plentiful – no skimping here! Plus, the friendly staff at Papa Murphy’s make it even easier to enjoy my visit.

Of course the best part about Papa Murphy’s may be the fact that you can pick up your pizza on your way home from work or school and have it ready to go in minutes. This makes it one of the most convenient pizzas around – no waiting required! Plus, with their affordable prices, it’s an unbeatable deal every time.

Papa Murphy’s | Take ‘N’ Bake Pizza certainly has earned a place in my top ten places for pizza. Delicious pies combined with great service and convenience make this one of my go-to spots for pizza in Rapid City SD!

#7 Papa Murphy’s | Take ‘N’ Bake Pizza

The first thing I noticed when I walked into the restaurant was the mouth-watering smell of fresh baked pizza. The staff were friendly and helpful, and they told me that their pizzas are made with only the freshest ingredients.

I opted for a Pepperoni Take ‘N’ Bake Pizza, and while it took about 20 minutes to prepare, it was definitely worth the wait! The crust was light and fluffy, with just enough crispiness around the edges for a perfect crunch. The cheese was melted perfectly, and the pepperoni added an extra boost of flavor to each bite.

I was amazed at how much flavor this pizza had! Every bite tasted better than the last, and I couldn’t get enough of it! It really is some of the best pizza in Rapid City SD.

#8 Marco’s Pizza

I was immediately met with a warm greeting and friendly service that made me feel welcomed the moment I stepped through the door. The restaurant is decorated in traditional Italian style and it really sets the tone for a cozy dining experience.

The menu has something for everyone, with many different pizza selections to choose from. We decided to mix it up and order two of their specialty pies: the ‘Meat Lovers’ and the ‘Veggie Supreme’. My heart was pounding with anticipation as our order arrived at the table!

The crust was cooked to perfection, not too thick or too thin, which allowed all of those delicious flavors to come together in each bite. The fresh ingredients in both pizzas were top-notch and cooked just right, leaving us both completely satisfied.

It’s no surprise that Marco’s Pizza is known as one of the best pizzerias in Rapid City SD! They truly have something for everyone– great taste and atmosphere make this place a must-visit!

#9 Papa Johns Pizza

The atmosphere of Papa Johns Pizza pleasantly surprised me. The restaurant has a cozy interior, with comfortable seating and lots of natural light from the windows. The staff was friendly and pleasant when taking my order, and I instantly felt welcomed.

The food itself was amazing! The pizza crust was thin and perfectly cooked, with a crunchy exterior that contrasted nicely with the soft interior. It had a subtle flavor that wasn’t overpowering like some other pizzas I’ve tried. The toppings were fresh and flavorful, often spiced to perfection.

I have to admit though – one of my favorite parts about eating here at Papa Johns Pizza was their unique selection of sauces! From honey mustard to garlic parmesan, they have something for everyone. Their signature “Garlic Butter Sauce” is a must-try!

Overall, my experience at Papa Johns Pizza was outstanding – all at an affordable price! Highly recommended for anyone looking for the best pizza in Rapid City SD.

#10 Pizza Ranch

I had heard great things about the pizza here and I was definitely not disappointed. The crust was thin but full of flavor, the sauce was the perfect balance of sweet and spicy, and the toppings were vibrant and plentiful! My favorite part though was their unique ranch seasoning that they sprinkle on top – it really elevated my entire pizza experience.

The service here is also top-notch. The staff are friendly, attentive, and always willing to go above and beyond what’s expected. They make sure your dining experience is as exquisite as possible!

All in all, I would absolutely recommend Pizza Ranch if you’re looking for an amazing pizza experience in Rapid City SD (or anywhere else!). It’s honestly the best pizza in town!

#11 Boss’ Pizza & Chicken

The environment of the restaurant is what I would call “eclectic” – there’s a cool mural on the wall, and a local sports team’s jersey framed in honor of the owner. But it doesn’t sacrifice any of its pizzeria charm for its eclectic décor.

The menu features not only pizza, but also several types of chicken dishes as well. And boy, let me tell you – their wings are downright addictive! Best of all, they offer delivery if you don’t feel like making the trek to get your pizza fix.

But let’s talk about the main dish – the pizza! If you’ve ever had a craving for a true Neapolitan-style pizza, this is THE place to go in Rapid City. The crust is so perfectly crisp and flavorful that I swear there must be some sort of magical ingredient involved! Toppings are fresh and plentiful, and the sauce…oh man, that sauce is so good it should be illegal!

In conclusion, if you’re looking for truly superior pizza in Rapid City SD then look no further than Boss’ Pizza & Chicken. From their unique atmosphere to their amazing food offerings (including delicious wings!), this place has earned its reputation as one of the best pizza joints in town.

#12 Marco’s Pizza

From the moment we stepped into Marco’s, it was clear that this wasn’t your average pizza joint. The decor was modern and inviting, and the staff were friendly and knowledgeable. Even better – the smell of freshly baked pizza wafted through the air!

The menu was filled with an array of delicious choices and after much deliberation I finally settled on a large pepperoni pizza. As soon as it came to the table, I could tell this wasn’t your typical chain store pie – it had a distinctly homemade charm about it. The crust was perfectly golden brown, not too thick or thin, and the topping was generous and flavorful.

I found myself going back for seconds…and then thirds! I have to say, without a doubt, that Marco’s Pizza has some of the best pizza in Rapid City SD!

Best Thin Crust Pizza – Blaze Pizza

Sure, they may not accept reservations, but who needs a reservation when you can just waltz in and enjoy a delicious pie while sipping on a cold beer? That’s right, folks, they serve alcohol! Nothing pairs better with a hot, cheesy slice than an ice-cold brewski.

Now, for all you herbivores out there, fear not! Blaze Pizza has got you covered with their delicious vegetarian options. Whether you’re into sizzling veggies or tangy sun-dried tomatoes, they’ve got the toppings to satisfy your veggie cravings.
