#1 Donatos Pizza
- Offers dessert
I visited Donatos Pizza recently, and what a treat it was! The crust was incredibly light and fluffy – nothing like the soggy mess I’ve tried elsewhere. It was cooked to perfection and had just the right amount of crunch.
The toppings were top-notch too. They used only fresh ingredients that were perfectly balanced in each pie. The pepperoni had a nice zing to it, while the cheese blended perfectly with the sauce to give it a delicious flavor.
The staff at Donatos Pizza was super friendly and helpful. When I asked for some recommendations, they recommended their signature pies and even tossed in one of those cheesy stuffed crusts for free! They also gave me some complimentary garlic knots which were out of this world.
In my opinion, Donatos Pizza is definitely at the top of the list when it comes to finding the best pizza in Redlands! Highly recommend if you’re ever in town looking for some good ‘za!

#2 MOD Pizza
- Offers dessert
- Nice tourist spot
- Has some vegetarian options
- Serves alcohol
On my recent trip I decided to stop in at MOD Pizza, located conveniently on Redlands Boulevard, to grab a slice. The atmosphere was inviting and comfortable, with friendly staff to greet me upon entry.
Their selection of pizzas is great! They have a wide variety of toppings, ranging from traditional favorites like pepperoni and reduced-fat mozzarella, to more exotic options like gorgonzola and artichoke hearts. I decided on the “Reggio” Pizza, which included an array of fresh vegetables such as zucchini, red pepper and mushrooms – it was absolutely delicious!
The prices were great too. For just $7.50, you can get your own “Create Your Own” pizza which includes unlimited toppings – you do the math! Plus every 12” pizza comes with two free pieces of garlic Parmesan crust. Now that’s a bargain!
The service here was also outstanding. My order took no more than five minutes from the time I placed it until it arrived steaming hot at my table. That’s quick by any standard!
All in all, my experience at MOD Pizza was quite enjoyable and I would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone looking for quality pizza in Redlands. In fact, if I ever find myself passing through Redlands again, MOD Pizza will certainly be my first choice for the best pizza in town.

My only suggestion for improvement would be that The Gourmet Pizza Shoppe offer delivery service as well as dine in – but then again, who doesn’t love tourist spots?! So don’t let that stop you from trying them out.

I wasn’t sure what to expect from La Volata Pizzeria, but I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the pizza. The crust is just perfect – not too thick and not too thin. The toppings are fresh and flavorful, and the cheese melts so nicely that it’s almost a work of art.

#6 Pizza Shack
I must admit, I was skeptical at first. I had heard about this little hole-in-the-wall that some locals were raving about, but it looked like nothing more than an unassuming pizza joint. Boy, was I wrong!
When I first tasted the pizza at Pizza Shack, my taste buds performed a symphony of approval. The crust was perfectly balanced between crunchy and chewy, and the sauce managed to capture all of the wood-fired oven’s smoky flavor with just the right combination of spices.

#8 Surfer Joe’s Eatery Redlands
The first thing that struck me when I walked in was the old-school surf decor. It’s a real treat, and a great way to set the tone of an enjoyable pizza experience.
The menu has something for all tastes, so I decided to trust their judgement and order one of their specialty pizzas – the Grilled Veggie Delight. The minute it arrived at my table, I knew I had made the right decision. It was just bursting with flavor, from the chunky grilled veggies to the perfectly cooked crust.
Even more impressive than the taste is that this pizza was huge! Most pizzas this size would require far too much dough, but not this one! Somehow it manages to be substantial while also lightweight and airy.
