I’m on a mission to find the best pizza in town and the only way I know how is through tasting, of course! After eating at 12 different pizza places in Rochester, I’ve come away with a clear winner. Not only that, but I also have a few honorable mentions as well.

My taste buds are guided by experience from all around the world as far as pizza flavors go. With that said, buckle up and get ready for some deliciousness – it’s time to figure out who makes the best pizza in Rochester MN!

#1 Pasquale’s Neighborhood Pizzeria

The first thing that struck me was the atmosphere. It’s a cozy little pizzeria with a great view of the city and the pizza ovens are visible in the background, so you know your food is made with care.

The staff were all very friendly and helpful. They took their time to answer all of my questions, and recommend me some unique options from their menu.

On to the pizza! Holy cow! This pizza was amazingly good. I tried a few different combinations and each one was better than the last. From the sauce to the crust, every bite was heaven. You can really taste that it’s made with top-notch ingredients, like fresh mozzarella and homemade sauce.

I’ll definitely be coming back soon for another slice (or two). If you’re ever around Rochester MN and looking for the best pizza in town, Pasquale’s Neighborhood Pizzeria should be your go-to spot!

#2 The Original Mr. Pizza South

I had the pleasure of visiting this pizza joint and let me tell you, I was in heaven. From the moment I stepped inside I could tell that the owners take great pride in their restaurant – from the warm, inviting atmosphere to the fresh ingredients used in their pizzas.

The crust on my pizza was perfectly cooked and was just the right amount of crispiness. The cheese was melted to perfection and had a great flavor. The toppings were varied, plentiful, and flavorful. It definitely hit the spot!

To top off my experience at The Original Mr. Pizza South, they also offer a variety of desserts such as tasty cannolis and richly flavored Italian gelato. There’s also a full bar if you’re in the mood for some drinks!

#3 The Redwood Room

My first clue that this place was special was the decor. The walls were covered in cozy redwood paneling, and the atmosphere felt like I had stepped into a real slice of old-world Italy.

I started off with one of their signature pies, the ‘Four Cheese Delight.’ The dough was light and fluffy, while the cream cheese, mozzarella, ricotta and feta complimented each other perfectly. Even after devouring the pizza, I still had plenty left over for my late-night snack craving.

The next pizza I tried was their ‘Cheese Lovers’ Pizza’. As the name implies, it was loaded with cheese – mozzarella, Parmesan and Romano. The crust was thin and crispy; almost like it came straight out of a wood-fired oven. But what really set this pizza apart from others I’ve tried was its amazing depth of flavor – you could definitely taste all three cheeses coming together to create a tasty and unique experience.

The crust was perfectly cooked, with a delightful crunch to it. The sauce was delicious, with just the right amount of garlic and herbs. And the cheese? Perfection! They really know how to balance their flavors.

The most impressive aspect of Dannys Pizza is their topping selection. They have all kinds of unique offerings that you won’t find in other places: truffle oil, smoked salmon, even macaroni and cheese! No matter what type of pizza you’re craving, they have something to satisfy your palate.

The service at Dannys Pizza was also excellent. Our waitress was friendly and knowledgeable, recommending several great pizzas for us to try. She was also very accommodating when we wanted to change our order at the last minute.

All in all, I’d highly recommend Dannys Pizza if you’re looking for the best pizza in Rochester MN! From the amazing toppings to the welcoming staff – it’s definitely worth a visit!

I’m not one to exaggerate – believe me, I’ve tasted some of the best pizza in some of the fanciest places. But Pi Wood-Fired Pizza has truly outdone itself. The pizza is cooked in a wood-fired oven, giving it a unique flavor and perfect char which really sets it apart from other pizzas.

The toppings are always fresh, and the crust has just the right balance of crunchiness and chewiness. They have a great selection of toppings and sauces, but my personal favorite is their BBQ chicken pizza with red onions and cilantro. It’s absolutely delicious!

Service at Pi Wood-Fired Pizza is top notch. Everyone from the wait staff to the chefs are friendly, helpful, and accommodating – they want you to enjoy your meal as much as possible.

The atmosphere of the restaurant is welcoming and inviting with its exposed brick walls and wood-fired ovens. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, quickly answering any questions I had about the ingredients or preparation methods.

The pizza itself is excellent. You can taste the difference from the freshly made dough to the savory sauce and high-quality ingredients used in each pie. The crust was consistently crunchy but still soft on the inside, making it very enjoyable to eat.

One of my favorite things about this restaurant was their range of toppings that were available for all pizzas. From different cheeses to unique meats and vegetables, there are plenty of options that cater to a variety of tastes.

My experience started with a pleasant greeting from the host as I entered, setting the tone for my culinary experience. After examining the menu, I decided on the classic Margherita pizza. The waiter was very helpful in explaining all of the options that they had, and I appreciated their knowledge of the options.

When the pizza arrived at my table, it was love at first sight. The crust was perfectly crisp and light, while the toppings were flavorful and fresh, resulting in an amazing combination of flavors and textures. As I bit into my slice of pizza, I knew instantly why North Mr. Pizza has earned its reputation for being one of the best pizzas in Rochester MN!

#8 Forager Brewery and Cafe

I was instantly taken with the wonderful atmosphere and the delicious smells wafting through the air. The staff was incredibly friendly, always making sure that my experience was top-notch.

But it is their pizza that really sets them apart from other pizza places in Rochester MN. From their signature wood-fired pizzas to their unique toppings, there’s something for everyone here. I tried several different pies, but one of my favorites had roasted Brussels sprouts, crispy bacon, and a garlic cream sauce that was out of this world! It’s enough to make me come back for more.

They also have a huge selection of craft beer on tap that perfectly complements their delectable pizza. You can even order a beer flight so you can find your new favorite brew!

The sauce is rich and flavorful, with a unique combination of herbs that tantalize the taste buds. And the cheese! The atmosphere at the restaurant was super fun. There’s a cool retro vibe with old-fashioned arcade games and a jukebox playing music from different eras. It’s the perfect spot for grabbing a bite with friends or for a family dinner.

As a self-proclaimed pizza enthusiast, I am always looking for a pie that will make my taste buds do a happy dance. And let me tell you, Pasquale’s did not disappoint! Although I was slightly frustrated that they don’t accept reservations, I quickly forgave them once I smelled the heavenly aroma wafting from their pizza ovens.

First things first, let’s talk about the crust. Oh, the crust! It was so thin and crispy, it practically melted in my mouth. It had that perfect balance of chewiness and crunch that can only be achieved by a true pizza artist. I couldn’t help but imagine the chefs doing a little pizza dance in the kitchen as they tossed the dough in the air. It was a sight to behold.
