I’ve had the privilege of tasting pizzas all over the world – from Rome to Chicago – so when someone asks me where to go for the best pizza, I don’t take it lightly! After going around and sampling 12 pizza places in Rockland County, I’m now ready to report my findings.

I’m not exaggerating when I say that my taste buds were singing after the first bite of the renowned carbonara pizza. It was like a symphony of flavors bursting throughout my mouth. The creamy cream, salty prosciutto and crunchy cheese together created a flavor profile that was simply magical!

The rest of the selection at Mercato Roman Pizza lives up to the same high-quality as their signature carbonara pizza. The Porchetta pizza was an amazing mix of tangy tomato sauce, savory herbs and succulent pork with just enough mozzarella cheese to keep it from being dry. The Spicy Salami was also delectable – the perfect balance of spicy salami, mild olives and zesty garlic made this one especially enjoyable.

The atmosphere at Mercato Roman Pizza is quite cozy and warm – a great place for gathering friends or enjoying a date night with your special someone. So if you’re ever in Rockland County and looking for fantastic pizza, make sure to stop by Mercato Roman Pizza – it’s some of the best pizza I’ve had anywhere in the world!

#2 Martio’s Pizza

My first impression of the restaurant was definitely positive; it had a charming Italian vibe that made me feel like I was in Naples! On top of that, the staff was extremely hospitable and seemed to really care about making sure I had a great experience.

When it came to the pizza, I could not have been more impressed. The crust was perfectly thin and crispy, and the sauce was packed with flavor. Toppings were fresh, plentiful, and artfully arranged on top – something you don’t always find at other pizza places!

The final verdict? Martio’s Pizza is definitely one of the best pizzerias in Rockland County. From its inviting atmosphere to its delicious pizza, this place has everything you’re looking for in a great pie. Whether you live in Rockland County or are just passing through, I highly recommend giving Martio’s Pizza a try – you won’t be disappointed!

#3 Paisanos Pizza

The pizzas here have that traditional Italian flair, with hand-tossed, thin crusts that are full of flavor. The classic Margherita pizza was a fantastic, light option – the perfect balance of mozzarella and tomato sauce, plus a nice drizzle of olive oil and oregano. But if you’re looking for something more adventurous, they have plenty of specialty pies as well. I had the “Rustic Farmer’s Pie” – hands down one of the best pizzas I’ve ever tasted!

The service here was also top notch; the wait staff were warm and friendly and our orders were taken promptly. The atmosphere is casual and inviting – it’s easy to see why this place has been such a popular spot with locals for years! And did I mention how affordable it is? I couldn’t believe how much food we got for such a low price – we left stuffed and happy.

In short, Paisanos Pizza is well worth a visit if you’re in Rockland County! It’s definitely one of the best pizza places around, and absolutely my go-to spot for authentic Italian pie.

#4 Forgia Brick Oven Pizzeria

The restaurant itself is cozy and inviting, with a warm atmosphere and friendly staff. The pizza options are vast and varied, ranging from classic styles to more exotic creations. I sampled the signature “Forgia Pie” – a white pizza topped with ricotta, mozzarella and garlic – as well as the fiery Buffalo chicken pie. Both were delectable!

The crusts at Forgia Brick Oven Pizzeria are thin yet sturdy and hold up beautifully to the toppings. They are also cooked in a brick oven, which provides an even heat for maximum flavor. And for those who like their pizzas spicy, there’s also an array of delicious hot sauces and other condiments available.

For me, though, what really sets this place apart is their commitment to using fresh ingredients — you can taste it in every bite! There’s definitely something special about munching on a slice of heavenly pizza while sitting on the outdoor patio surrounded by the sights & sounds of Rockland County.

The first time I visited Turiello’s Pizza House I was pleasantly surprised by the variety of pizza options they had to offer. From their classic pepperoni to their unique Grandma’s surprise, there really is something for everyone. The crust on their pizzas is just right – not too thick and not too thin – just a perfect balance of crunchy and chewy that comes together for a delicious bite every time.

And let me tell you, the toppings at Turiello’s are out of this world! Whether you like veggies, meats, or even seafood, they have it all. Whatever combination you choose – it will definitely be a hit! They also make sure that their ingredients are fresh and top-notch; no soggy pizzas here!

I can honestly say I haven’t tasted better pizza in Rockland County than what Turiello’s offers. So if you’re looking for a great pizza experience without breaking the bank, then look no further than Turiello’s Pizza House!

#6 Bob’s Thin Crust Pizza

The crust of the pizza was simply sublime – thin and crunchy with just the right amount of chewy texture. The sauce was flavorful without overpowering the delicate balance of flavors in the toppings, which included some of the freshest vegetables I have ever tasted!

Not to be outdone by the food, Bob’s Thin Crust Pizza also has a charming atmosphere that is great for a casual meal with friends or family. The staff is friendly and helpful, adding to the delightful experience.

#7 West Nyack Pizzarena

The atmosphere is unbeatable. The restaurant is small, but the decor makes you feel like you are in an Italian pizzeria. It’s so cozy that I started to believe it was a home kitchen!

The Pizza itself is remarkable. The dough is soft and fluffy, with just the right amount of crunch on the crust. You can get a variety of toppings – from classic pepperoni and cheese to unique ideas like artichoke and bacon selections. The pizza comes out hot and fresh every time, perfect for hungry customers like myself!

The service at West Nyack Pizzarena is top notch too; friendly staff know exactly what you want before you even ask. Plus, they always greet me with a smile! How can you beat that?

In conclusion: If you’re looking for the best pizza in Rockland County, West Nyack Pizzarena can’t be beaten! With fantastic food and service to match, this place is sure to make any pizza lover very happy.

From the moment I stepped into RUSSO’S, I knew I was in for something special. The smell of freshly made dough and perfectly cooked sauce filled the air, and the seating was cozy yet inviting.

The first dish on my plate was their signature pizza: a classic pepperoni with mozzarella cheese. It was freshly made, flavorful, and the crust had just the right amount of crunch. The toppings were fresh and savory, making it one of the best pizzas I’ve ever tasted!

Next, I sampled a slice of their vegetarian-style pesto pizza. This time, the pizza was topped with zucchini slices, mushrooms, red peppers, and plenty of pesto sauce. Again, this pizza was made to perfection – each ingredient combined harmoniously to create a gastronomic masterpiece.

Finally, as if that weren’t enough deliciousness already on my plate (or stomach!), I had one last delectable treat: a buffalo chicken calzone! The combination of creamy ricotta cheese and spicy chicken pieces turned out to be a winning combination. Each bite left me wanting more!

In short, RUSSO’S is definitely one of Rockland County’s best for pizza aficionados like myself. From its authentic Italian-style pizzas to its inventive calzones, this place simply can’t be beat!

#9 Nicky’s II Pizza & Deli

My first experience with Nicky’s II Pizza & Deli was about as amazing as it can get. The restaurant had a cozy, welcoming atmosphere that made me feel right at home. I ordered the classic cheese pizza and, not to brag, but it was probably the best piece of pizza I’ve ever tasted! The crust was thin and crispy and the cheese was perfectly melted – the perfect combination.

One thing that really sets Nicky’s II Pizza & Deli apart from other restaurants is their wide selection of toppings. They have everything from olives, to pepperoni, to pineapple (which surprisingly worked really well). When I asked for my deluxe pizza they were all too happy to accommodate my every need.

I’d definitely recommend Nicky’s II Pizza & Deli to anyone looking for the best pizza in Rockland County. With their delicious selection of pizzas and friendly staff, you’ll leave with a full stomach and a smile on your face!

#10 Franco’s Pizza

The atmosphere at Franco’s is great for a casual night out; the staff, although sometimes a bit quirky, is always friendly and welcoming. The pizza itself is always delicious, with fresh ingredients and an expertly crafted crust that’s both crunchy and chewy. The large variety of toppings means everyone will be able to find something they like!

I’ve also been impressed by the unique specials they offer. From unconventional combinations like banana peppers and pineapple to more traditional choices like pepperoni and mushroom, there’s something for everyone.

Every time I visit, I’m blown away by the level of personal attention I receive from the owner. He takes great pride in his craft and really takes the time to get to know each customer that comes in.

The pizza at Rocco’s is genuinely unique and sets itself apart from other traditional styles of pizza. The crust has a perfect balance between crunchy and soft – it melts in your mouth! The cheese is a blend of mozzarella and parmesan, which creates a creamy texture with just enough bite. Lastly, the toppings are made fresh daily with locally sourced ingredients that you can taste in every single slice.

My favorite thing about Rocco’s Family Restaurant is their commitment to quality: everything is made with love, and it truly shows! From my experience (and many others’), I can confidently say that this restaurant serves up some of the best pizza in Rockland County – so definitely give them a chance if you’re ever in town!

#12 Dee Maria’s

It’s hard to explain the perfection of a slice from Dee Maria’s. From one bite, you can tell that each pizza is made with the freshest ingredients and skillful care. The dough is cooked to a perfect chewiness and topped with an abundance of flavorful sauce and generous amounts of cheese. The tomato sauce is tangy and sweet which creates a perfect balance with the cheese-topped crust.

The atmosphere at Dee Maria’s is also worth noting. The staff always have smile on their faces and they are genuinely happy to serve you. It’d be impossible not to feel welcomed and relaxed in such a cozy environment. Plus, the music playing makes it even more enjoyable!

From the moment I walked in, I knew I was in for a treat. The aroma of freshly baked crust and melted cheese instantly hugged my nostrils and made my stomach grumble in anticipation. The staff at Martio’s were friendly and accommodating, but the one downside, they don’t accept reservations. So, if you’re planning on going during peak hours, be prepared to wait.

But let’s get to the good stuff – the pizza! Oh boy, where do I even begin? The thin crust was delightfully crispy, yet had the perfect amount of chewiness. Toppings galore! From classic pepperoni to fun and adventurous combinations like pineapple and jalapeño, Martio’s offers a wide variety of choices to satisfy any pizza lover’s cravings. And the best part? They serve alcohol, because let’s face it, pizza and beer are a match made in foodie heaven.

But wait, there’s more! Martio’s also offers a delectable selection of desserts. Their homemade cannoli, with a creamy ricotta filling and a perfect balance of sweetness, is a must-try.
