After visiting twelve pizza places all over the city, I’ve narrowed it down to the best of the best. I’m ready to share my findings with a humorous and lighthearted take on each slice of deliciousness.

#1 Frankly…Pizza!

The atmosphere is great and friendly, the service is top-notch, and the food? Well, it’s fantastic! The crusts are perfectly crispy every time, the cheese melts like a dream, and the toppings are always fresh. Plus, they have vegetarian options if that’s your thing!

But what really sets Frankly…Pizza! apart is their selection of beers. After savoring a slice or two of the heavenly pizza, washing it down with a cold brew makes for a perfect evening out. And if you’re still feeling adventurous after dinner, they also offer several delicious dessert options.

Now for the downside – Frankly…Pizza! does not deliver, so if you want to enjoy their pizza at home you’ll have to pick it up yourself. But trust me – it’s worth every penny and every mile traveled!

#2 MOD Pizza

When I first stepped in MOD Pizza, the atmosphere was cozy and inviting. The wall decor was modern and stylish, and it felt like I was stepping into an upscale pizzeria.

The menu is full of delicious choices from classic favorites to unique creations. The great part is that you can pick your own toppings for a truly customizable experience. I decided to try the “Pepporni” which included pepperoni, banana peppers, mushrooms, garlic and mozzarella – it was heavenly!

The crust was thin but not too thin — it had the perfect texture and wasn’t overly greasy. And speaking of greasy, the pizza came out hot and fresh with a nice combination of spicy, cheesy goodness. It was obvious that the ingredients were high quality and they didn’t skimp on any of them!

Overall, MOD Pizza offers some of the best pizza in Silver Spring (and maybe even more!). If you’re looking for a fantastic pizza experience that won’t break your wallet, this is definitely the place to go!

#3 Pacci’s Trattoria

The first thing that struck me when I walked in was the amazing aroma. The scent of freshly-baked dough, herbs, and cheese was enough to make my mouth water. It definitely set the tone for a great dining experience.

The next thing that impressed me was the attentive service. Our waiter answered all of our questions with enthusiasm and made sure we had everything we needed.

But, of course, what really matters is the quality of the pizza. Simply put, this pizza is amazing! The crust is thin and crisp with just enough crunch to make it perfect. Each slice comes loaded with toppings that are fresh and flavorful. Their signature Margherita pie isn’t one to miss; it has gooey mozzarella cheese and sweet basil that will tantalize your taste buds!

#4 Roscoe’s Pizzeria

The atmosphere was inviting and cozy, making me immediately feel welcome. I discovered that the team at Roscoe’s strives to make sure each customer has a great experience.

When it came to the pizza, I wasn’t disappointed. Every bite of their famous pizza pies was full of delicious flavors that made my taste buds sing! The crust had a perfect crunch, which complemented perfectly the gooey cheese and tomatoes. I couldn’t resist trying some of their specialty toppings too, as they offered an abundance of choices ranging from vegetables to meats and cheeses.

I’m already looking forward to my next visit because Roscoe’s Pizzeria is definitely one of the best places in Silver Spring for delicious pizza!

#5 &pizza – Silver Spring

I’m always a bit skeptical when I visit new pizza places, but the folks at &pizza made me feel right at home. The inviting atmosphere and friendly staff were welcoming and made for a pleasant dining experience.

The pizza was simply amazing! They have some really unique flavor combinations that you can’t find anywhere else. Every slice was filled with so much flavor and each one had the perfect amount of crunchy crust to cheese ratio. My favorite was their Applewood Bacon Pie, which is packed with bacon, Gouda cheese, mozzarella, and fresh apples. Delicious!

But don’t just take my word for it; if you’re ever in Silver Spring make sure to check out &pizza – you won’t be disappointed!

#6 Mamma Lucia

The decor is basic Italian, but the atmosphere is cozy and inviting. The staff was friendly and provided quick service throughout my visit.

I started with some antipasto to get in the mood for pizza and it definitely did the trick! The large helping of salami and mozzarella was fresh and flavorful.

Next, I tried their signature topping: Mamma Lucia’s own special blend of spicy sausage and pepperoni. It was grilled to perfection, giving a distinct smoky flavor to the pizza. The crust was thin yet chewy – not too salty or overly thick – just how I like it!

Overall, I highly recommend Mamma Lucia’s. They are definitely on my list of places to come back to when I’m in Silver Spring again! Their delicious pizzas will be sure to satisfy even the pickiest of palates.

#7 Ben Yehuda Pizza

I’ll be honest: I had low expectations for this pizza restaurant, but boy was I wrong! From the moment I stepped inside and was greeted by the friendly staff, I knew I had stumbled across something special.

The pizza itself? Well, let me tell you. The crust is light yet toasty, while the sauce is both sweet and savory. The ingredients are fresh and flavorful, so much so that it’s almost like a party in your mouth with each bite. If that wasn’t enough, they even offer gluten-free versions of their pizzas which still taste just as delicious!

But my favorite thing about Ben Yehuda Pizza may just be the atmosphere. The decor is cozy and inviting with plenty of tables for larger groups or romantic dates. Plus, you can often find live entertainment playing in the background – from jazz bands to acoustic guitarists – making it a perfect place to come for a relaxing evening out with friends.

At the end of the day, no matter if you’re looking for a quick slice on your lunch break or an evening out at a classic Silver Spring eatery, Ben Yehuda Pizza is sure to exceed your expectations and exceed them in style! Best pizza in Silver Spring indeed!

The atmosphere is perfect for both a kid’s night out and a romantic dinner. They’ve got a kids menu so the little ones won’t get bored, and there are some vegetarian options too! To top off the perfect meal they even have dessert which I certainly found enjoyable.

But what makes Ledo Pizza stand out from the rest? Their pizza of course! Every single time I order their delicious pies, they never disappoint. The crust is always golden and crispy, topped with generous amounts of cheese and all your favorite toppings.

Unfortunately, they don’t offer delivery service, but in my opinion that’s actually a good thing since it means you get to enjoy the experience of actually eating at the restaurant while enjoying some of the best pizza in Silver Spring!

#9 Underground Pizza Company Silver Spring

I was incredibly impressed by the quality of their pizzas. The crust was perfectly thin, yet still had that unmistakable crunch that only a wood-fired oven can give. The sauce was flavorful and perfectly balanced, and they had an impressive selection of fresh toppings to choose from.

But what really made this experience stand out were the creative topping combinations. From fig and ricotta to roasted garlic and pesto, each pizza was a unique and delicious experience.

The atmosphere of the restaurant was also excellent – it had an intimate and cozy vibe that made me feel right at home. And the staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful with menu recommendations!

Overall, Underground Pizza Company Silver Spring is definitely one of the best places to get pizza in Silver Spring – it’s not to be missed!

#10 Vicino Restaurante Italiano

I would also venture to say that there’s simply nothing like Vicino’s pizza – the crust is cooked to perfection, with an addictive crunch, and the toppings are flavorful and fresh. What’s more, their menu has something for everyone, from classic margheritas to more creative pies topped with prosciutto or black truffle.

The atmosphere of Vicino is also unbeatable. With its cozy seating and dim lighting, it feels like a hidden gem tucked away in the neighborhood. Not to mention their servers are friendly and welcoming with a great sense of humor!

All in all, I’d highly recommend Vicino Restaurante Italiano if you’re looking for some of the best pizza in Silver Spring. Just don’t be surprised if you end up staying longer than expected – this place has a way of drawing you in!

#11 Pizza Castle

I was initially drawn in by the castle-like architecture of the building, which reminded me of a medieval Italian castle. Inside, I was mesmerized by the sights and smells of cheesy pizza pies cooking in their stone ovens. Not only did it look and smell incredible, but I could also feel that the pizzas were going to be top notched.

When my order arrived, it looked as though it had been prepared with care. The crust was golden brown and perfectly crisp, yet still soft enough for my teeth to sink into without too much effort. Each slice had an abundance of cheese melted atop a sweet and tangy tomato sauce that left me wanting more.

The best part? The variety of toppings available! From classic pepperoni to grilled vegetables to Alfredo sauce – you really can’t go wrong with any combination you make here.

In conclusion, Pizza Castle is definitely worth a visit if you’re in Silver Spring looking for a good pizza experience – you won’t be disappointed!

#12 Dominic’s Italian Grille

The atmosphere is great – you can hear the buzz of conversation and smell the delicious scent of pizza as soon as you walk in. The staff are incredibly friendly and the prices are very reasonable.

I ordered a 16″ pepperoni pizza with extra cheese and it was everything I was hoping for – light, crispy crust topped with rich sauce, melty cheese and lots of savory pepperoni. It was also cooked to perfection – not too crisp or chewy but just right!

I’m definitely coming back to Dominic’s Italian Grille whenever I’m looking for great pizza in Silver Spring. If you’re in town, I’d highly recommend checking it out – it’s my new favorite spot!
