When I walked in, the inviting atmosphere made me feel right at home. This is definitely a great spot for tourists looking for something special! Plus, the restaurant serves alcohol, so I was able to enjoy a cold beer with my meal, which was an added bonus.
The menu also has some vegetarian options making it easy to accommodate even the pickiest of eaters. And let me tell you – the pizza was delicious! The toppings were fresh and cooked perfectly. It had just the right amount of char around the edges, and the crust had that authentic Italian taste.

From the moment I walked in the door, the warm atmosphere hit me like a brick and it was obvious that this is a great spot to be. The waitstaff was pleasant and helpful with my order, which made the experience all the more enjoyable.

From the moment I stepped into Gio’s Pizza, I was welcomed with a friendly atmosphere and an array of tantalizing aromas that immediately made me hungry. The waiting staff were both professional and welcoming, which only added to the pleasure of the experience.
The pizza itself was absolutely delicious! Decorated with the finest ingredients, each bite was full of flavor and texture. The crust was crispy and not too heavy, while the toppings blended perfectly together. I ordered multiple pizzas in different combinations – including pepperoni, mushrooms, sausage, olives and onions – all equally delicious! Each slice was as flavorful as the last.

The atmosphere of the restaurant was inviting and cozy; the owners, Mama J and Papa J, were friendly and accommodating. And the pizza? Heaven in a slice!
I started with the classic Margherita pizza. It had generous amounts of cheese, fresh basil, and tomato slices that melted in my mouth. The crust was perfectly thin with just the right amount of crispiness. It was truly a delightful experience!
The second pizza I tried was their special – sausage and peppers. This one really did not disappoint either! The combination of flavors gave it a unique kick of flavor, while the toppings were cooked to perfection. Again, the crust held everything together subversively but with perfect crunchiness.

I was immediately impressed with the extensive menu of pizzas, salads, pastas and more. Even better, they offered vegetarian options – which is a huge plus for me since I’m more of a herbivore than a carnivore!
To top it off, they serve alcoholic beverages! Beer-lovers, this place rocks. They even have hard liquor – something I haven’t seen at many pizza places. What could be better?
The atmosphere was nice too; it had a touristy vibe – like you were going out for a night on the town in Sonoma County – so even if you’re not from here, you’ll feel right at home. And when I was done with my meal, I got to enjoy their amazing desserts!

My visit to Sonoma Pizza Co. was certainly memorable. The smell of fresh-baked pizza was mouthwatering as I stepped into their cozy restaurant. The interior decor has a rustic, Italian vibe and the staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming.
The crust at Sonoma Pizza Co. is cooked to perfection – light and fluffy on the inside with a golden crispy exterior that’s just right! Plus, they use high quality ingredients like 100% real mozzarella cheese and thick slices of freshly chopped vegetables that make the pizzas even tastier.
I ordered the pepperoni pizza which had an amazing balance of flavors – spicy pepperoni, tangy tomatoes, creamy cheese, and fresh herbs all working together in perfect harmony. Moreover, the sauce was balanced – not too sweet or sour but just enough to bring out the flavor of the pizza toppings!

The atmosphere is great—it’s a nice spot to take the family with a kids’ menu, plenty of vegetarian options (which means even Grandma can come along!), and dessert. Oh, and they also serve alcohol—just what I need after a day of exploring Sonoma County.
The pizza is really top-notch—the crust is always cooked perfectly, the toppings are always fresh, and there’s enough cheese that it feels like you’re biting into a big hug. Plus, the sizes vary so you can get as much or as little as you want.
My only complaint is that they don’t offer delivery. That said, when you live in Sonoma County, why even bother with delivery when this wonderful restaurant is just around the corner?

The atmosphere is cozy yet the pizzas are definitely anything but! Their marinara sauce was so delicious, it was like I had died and gone to Naples. And their selection of toppings gave me an amazing array of options to choose from. They even have a few vegetarian options for all you non-meat lovers out there. Plus, CIBO Rustico has the added benefit of serving alcohol (which is always a plus in my book!).

Best Wood Fired Pizza – il Fuoco Pizza
- Serves alcohol
- Offers dessert
- Nice tourist spot
As soon as I walked into il Fuoco Pizza, the intoxicating aroma of freshly baked dough hit me like a hungry predator. My taste buds were already doing a little happy dance in my mouth, and I hadn’t even taken a bite yet! I knew I was in for a treat.
The menu presented a plethora of tantalizing options, from classic margherita to inventive creations like a pizza topped with prosciutto and arugula that made my mouth water just reading about it. I couldn’t decide, so I did what any seasoned food critic would do: I ordered one of each.
When the pizzas arrived, I was mesmerized by the beautiful charred crust, perfectly bubbled and kissed by the fiery oven. As I took my first bite, it was as if angels were singing in my mouth. The crust was crisp on the outside, yet delightfully chewy on the inside. The toppings were fresh and plentiful, each one bursting with flavor.
But what truly set il Fuoco Pizza apart was the friendly and eccentric staff. The pizzaiolos twirled their dough with such finesse, it was like watching a ballet. And the servers, oh boy! They were like stand-up comedians, cracking jokes and making me laugh throughout the meal. I couldn’t help but feel like I was part of an intimate, hilarious pizza community.
So, whether you’re a pizza aficionado or just a hungry traveler passing through sonoma, il Fuoco Pizza is a must-visit. The combination of outstanding wood fired pizza and a side-splitting dining experience makes this place truly extraordinary. Trust me, you won’t be disappointed.
