The atmosphere at the restaurant is incredibly inviting and the staff are always incredibly friendly. And of course, the pizza! Oh, the pizza… It’s to die for! The crust was perfectly thin and crisp with just enough char to give it that extra oomph. All of their toppings were fresh and unique – there are so many choices, you could never get bored with what they have to offer.

Not only did I find their pizza amazing, but they also serve craft beer made onsite in their brewery! The beers complemented my pizza perfectly and added an extra level of deliciousness.

My visit started with a warm welcome from their friendly staff. The atmosphere of the restaurant is cozy, with an old-style Italian decor that will transport you to a classic pizzeria in the heart of Italy.

The menu selection was amazing, offering more traditional Italian pizzas and unique creations like the truffle pizza with brie and shiitake mushrooms. I had to order it!

On my first visit I was totally blown away by the quality of the pizza, it was excellent! The crust was thin and crispy, but not too much so that it felt like I was eating a cracker. The sauce had just the right amount of sweetness and packed with flavour. And the toppings were plentiful and fresh.

I decided to try one of their specialty pies, the Salami & Onion: it was a delectable combination of salami, onion and herbs resting on top a wonderful base of mozzarella and tomato sauce. The flavours all melded together perfectly and this pizza might just be my new favorite.

But Pizzeria Grata didn’t stop there; They also have some delicious salads! I tried the Roasted Beet & Arugula salad which included fresh cooked beets with baby arugula, pistachios, goat cheese, cranberries and honey balsamic dressing. It was light yet flavourful and certainly hit the spot.

The atmosphere in Pizzeria Grata is also worth mentioning – everything from the way they prepare their ingredients behind an open-kitchen to how quickly they serve up piping hot pizzas makes you feel right at home. Plus, they have some great Italian wines available to pair with your meal (which makes for an even better experience).
