My understanding of good pizza is pretty well informed, as I’ve been around the world and tasted all sorts of styles. I’m excited to share with you my favorite finds in the area!
I recently reviewed twelve pizza places in Summit County and can say with confidence that there are some real gems here. From traditional Italian flavors to bold creations, it was a delicious journey, and now that my taste buds and stomach are full, it’s time to share my results!

#1 Totally Baked Pizza

I’ve tasted pizza from Naples to New York and nothing compares to the fresh ingredients, flavorful sauces, and perfectly cooked crust provided at Totally Baked Pizza. Every time I visit, they have something new and inventive, like a divine white pizza with truffle oil and arugula, or a barbecue chicken calzone that will make your taste buds dance!
The atmosphere at Totally Baked Pizza is warm and cozy, just like you would expect from a place specializing in Italian cuisine. The decor is rustic but inviting and the staff always makes me feel welcome. Plus, their happy hour specials make it easier on my wallet.

#2 Pierre’s Brooklyn Pizza & Deli

From the moment I stepped through the door at Pierre’s, I knew I was in for something special. The interior is fresh and inviting, and the staff was friendly and knowledgeable about their menu.
The pizza itself is excellent – the crust is just crunch enough to be satisfying yet not overly dense, and the toppings are all top-notch. Whether you like traditional red sauce pies or something a little more creative (like their signature Brooklyn Brunch Pizza), you’ll find something to love here.
I can honestly say that I haven’t had better pizza anywhere else in Summit County – Pierre’s Brooklyn Pizza & Deli does it right! If you’re in the area, this is definitely an establishment worth stopping by. Highly recommended!
#3 Guiseppe’s Pizza

When my travels brought me to Summit County, I knew I had to try out this highly-rated establishment. And I was not disappointed! The restaurant itself was cozy and inviting, with a very rustic charm.
The menu offered a delightful array of options from the traditional margherita and pepperoni pizzas, to some classic Italian favorites like calzone and plain-cheese pizza. All of the pizzas were made with fresh ingredients, flavorful sauces and perfectly cooked dough that gave each bite the perfect amount of crispiness. Plus, the waitstaff was friendly and helpful in guiding me through all of the options!
I ultimately opted for a large pepperoni pizza with extra cheese and mushrooms–a combination that tasted superb. The cheese spanned every inch of the thin crust while the toppings were well balanced against one another. To top it off, they used just enough sauce and spices to give the pizza an extra burst of flavor without making it overly greasy or saturated.
All in all, Guiseppe’s Pizza provides some truly delicious eats that are sure to satisfy everyone’s pizza cravings! Not only is it one of the best places to get a slice in Summit County, but anywhere you travel around the world!
#4 Galluch’s Pizza Inc

The inviting atmosphere and outdoor patio makes it a great place to take friends and family for a delicious pizza feast. The smell of melted cheese wafting up from the wood fire oven, combined with the warm Italian tunes playing in the background – I knew this was going to be an unforgettable experience.
The owners, Tony and Sharon, have created some truly amazing pizzas. If you’re looking for something classic then their ‘Cheese Pie’ is a must. It’s a perfectly balanced blend of tomato sauce and stretchy mozzarella cheese that will have your taste buds singing with satisfaction. And if you’re feeling adventurous, their ‘Ivan the Terrible’ pie has just enough heat to keep things interesting while still being delicious!
As a pizza critic, I’ve found few places that offer such an incredible combination of flavor and atmosphere as Galluch’s Pizza Inc. Simply put, they have some of the best pizza in Summit County.
#5 Altieri’s Pizza

The atmosphere is informal, but inviting. The staff is friendly and helpful and made it easy to order exactly what I wanted. The prices are very reasonable, making a pizza night out economical!
When it comes to the pizza itself, I can confidently say that Altieri’s has been able to master the art of pizza-making! The crust is light and crispy and the sauce was perfectly spiced. Every ingredient was incredibly flavorful and fresh, not to mention that their topping selection includes some unique choices like capers and pickles.. Wow!
Overall, my experience at Altieri’s Pizza was amazing! In fact, if I ever find myself in Summit County again, you better believe that I’m paying them another visit!
#6 Farinacci Pizza

I was first drawn to this quaint little pizza place by the line of customers winding around the corner. It was a great sign that I had stumbled upon something special! I made my way up to the counter, eager to see what all the fuss was about.
The menu is simple and easy to navigate, with a wide variety of classic pizzas as well as creative twists on traditional pies. After much debate, I opted for their signature Farinacci Supreme which comes topped with pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms, peppers and onions. The smell of that bubbling cheese was enough to make my mouth water!
When it came time to take my first bite, I couldn’t believe how amazing it tasted. The crust was perfectly flaky and crunchy while still maintaining its softness beneath all those toppings. The sauce and cheese were divine, adding just the right amount of flavor and texture to each slice. In short, this pizza was everything I could have hoped for and more!
If you’re ever in Summit County, do yourself a favor and treat yourself to some delicious pizza at Farinacci Pizza – you won’t be disappointed!
#7 Dewey’s Pizza

While the décor was nothing special, the smell of freshly made pizza that filled the air as I walked through the door was enough to make my mouth water. And so far, it didn’t disappoint!
I had the opportunity to try a variety of items from Dewey’s menu. From their signature Margherita Pizza to their garlic knots and loaded fries, every item was cooked to perfection and absolutely delicious. The secret lies in the fresh ingredients they use and their attention to detail when preparing each dish.
The service was also top-notch – friendly, helpful, and attentive. I asked lots of questions about which toppings went best together and they were able to answer them all with ease!
Overall, Dewey’s Pizza is hands down one of the best pizzas in Summit County. It’s worth trying if you’re ever in town!

#8 Rasicci’s Pizza

I visited Rasicci’s Pizza recently and what a treat it was. Upon entering, the place had a nice, inviting atmosphere with a great family feel that only adds to their amazing pizza!
The menu is full of options for all types of tastes and dietary needs. My favorite was the ‘Pepperoni Special’ – it was packed with flavor and had the perfect ratio of cheese to sauce. But really, I could have gone wrong with any one of their delicious pizzas!
The service was outstanding – all the staff were so friendly and eager to please me as a customer. They were all knowledgeable about their products, happy to make suggestions and even offered us some free sides while we waited for our food.
Overall, Rasicci’s Pizza totally deserves its title as one of Summit County’s best pizza places – it truly lived up to my high expectations! The quality of the ingredients and the commitment to delivering a memorable experience made this dining experience truly unique. One visit here and you’ll be hooked!
#9 DeChecos Pizzeria
From the moment I stepped foot in DeChecos, I knew I was in for a treat. The environment was warm and inviting, and the staff were friendly and knowledgeable about the menu.
After ordering my favorite pizza, a cheesy pepperoni delight with red onions, I settled into a corner booth and waited. Shortly after, my pizza arrived, hot out of the oven. It definitely lived up to its reputation as one of the best pizzas in Summit County – it was incredibly cheesy with generous amounts of pepperoni covering every slice. The red onions added a delicious flavor that brought all the flavors together.
My experience at DeChecos didn’t stop there though – they also had a wide selection of craft beers and wines perfect for pairing with their tasty pies! Plus, they had plenty of good dessert options to satisfy my sweet tooth after an amazing meal.

The experience I had at Vaccaros Trattoria was truly remarkable. From the moment I walked in, I was welcomed with open arms and a delicious aroma of freshly made pizza. The restaurant itself was cozy and inviting, and the staff were extremely friendly and knowledgeable about their menu offerings.
When it came to the pizza, absolutely no expense was spared. The crust was chewy yet crisp, and the sauce was savory and flavorful. To top things off, they had an array of tasty toppings to choose from, including succulent meats, fresh vegetables, spicy peppers and more. All of these delicious elements combined created some of the most mouth-watering pies I have ever tasted.
I am confident that if you’re looking for some of the best pizza in Summit County- look no further than Vaccaros Trattoria! You won’t be disappointed!
#11 D’Agnese’s at White Pond Akron

From the moment I walked in, the inviting atmosphere and friendly staff welcomed me with open arms. The brick walls, white tablecloths, and dim lighting set the perfect ambiance for an unforgettable meal.
The place was busy but not overcrowded, so I had a chance to observe the other diners as they enjoyed their meals. Everyone seemed to be talking about how great their pizza was – and boy were they right!
The menu featured a wide selection of traditional Italian pizzas including margherita, quattro formaggio, vegetariana and more. I opted for the margherita with its savory tomato sauce, creamy mozzarella cheese, and fresh basil leaves.
It arrived hot out of the oven with a perfectly charred crust that was crunchy on the outside but soft in the middle. The flavors melted together perfectly creating a light yet flavorful combination that had me wanting more every bite.
For dessert I tried their homemade cannoli which were filled with sweet ricotta cheese and dusted with chocolate chips. The perfect way to end my delicious meal!

#12 Leonardo’s Pizza Fairlawn ( Across from Summit Mall)

As soon as I walked in I was greeted with a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The space was inviting and the staff were incredibly friendly. But more importantly, the pizza was simply divine!
The thin-crust New York style pizza had the perfect balance of crispy crust and pillowy topping. Toppings were fresh and flavorful with just the right amount of cheese and spices. The signature sauce was sweet yet tangy, really adding to the overall flavor of each bite.
The best part about Leonardo’s is the variety they offer—from classic pepperoni to specialty white pizzas there’s something for everyone!
My only complaint is that their prices are slightly on the high side but it is worth it if you’re looking for an unforgettable pizza experience in Summit County!
