I recently spent 12 days in South Bay to sample some of the area’s best pizza. So let me tell you, my mouth has been on an Italian-style adventure! During my visits to these pizzerias, I thought about crust thickness, cheese quality, and toppings combinations – all with a hint of humor and lightheartedness.

I’ve had my fair share of ‘gourmet’ pies on my travels, but none have compared to the deliciousness that I experienced at South Bay Pizza. From thick and cheesy crusts to bold and zesty toppings, there’s something for everyone here.

The atmosphere is also spot-on if you’re looking for a place to hang out with friends and enjoy your meal. The interior is cozy and inviting, so you can get comfortable while you wait for your slice. Plus, the staff is incredibly friendly!

#2 Red & Louie’s Pizzeria

I was greeted by friendly staff who were more than happy to answer my questions and make sure I had a great experience. The atmosphere was lively and inviting, with red checkered tablecloths adding to the classic Italian pizzeria vibe. The menu had something for everyone, from vegan options to gluten-free crusts.

But don’t let all that distract you from the pizza! The star of the show is definitely the food here, and Red & Louie’s did not disappoint. Each slice of pizza was packed with flavor – the perfect balance of sauce, cheese, and toppings. The crispy crust was a perfect contrast to the soft toppings, while still maintaining its structure with each bite. There’s something special about how they make their dough – it’s light yet dense enough to hold all those delicious flavors together without getting soggy or falling apart.

#3 Bonello’s New York Pizza

I visited Bonello’s New York Pizza for dinner yesterday, and it was one of the most enjoyable pizza experiences I’ve ever had. The crust was perfectly thin and crispy, the sauce was just the right amount of tangy and sweet, and the topping selection was simply amazing!

From their classic New York-style pizza to their unique specialty pizzas like the Truffle Mushroom Prosciutto with garlic cream sauce, there was something for everyone. My favorite part of dinner though were the side dishes. Their broccolini parmesan garlic bread is a must try – and definitely exceeded my expectations!

The staff at Bonello’s New York Pizza are also super friendly – they made sure our experience went beyond satisfactory. Every plate that came out looked like a work of art. Truly some of the best pizza in The South Bay!

#4 Mickey’s Italian Delicatessen & Liquor Store

Upon entering, I was warmly greeted by the staff and taken to a cozy seat at an Italian-style table, complete with red checkered tablecloth. I’m not gonna lie, the presentation of the restaurant already exceeded my expectations.

The menu had a good selection of pizza pies, from classic margherita to more unique creations like eggplant parmesan and chicken alfredo. I settled for their signature “Mickey’s Special” which boasted pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms and olives. Each ingredient was perfectly cooked and seasoned in true Italian fashion – no greasy aftertaste here!

The real showstopper however was the thin-crust pizza. Crispy yet still doughy on the inside, it was almost like biting into a cloud. It was hands-down one of the best thin-crust pizzas I’ve ever had!

Overall, my experience at Mickey’s Italian Delicatessen & Liquor Store hit all the right notes. From the friendly service to the delicious pizza pie – this is definitely THE place for great dining in The South Bay!

The atmosphere of Little Gourmet is charming and welcoming, where you can always enjoy a great Italian dinner. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable about their ingredients, which all originate from Italy.

I can proudly say that the pizza here is truly something special. From the fresh mozzarella cheese to the flavorful sauce, it’s hard to find another pizza quite like it! To top it all off, the crust has just the right amount of crunch and flavor, making every single slice worth savoring.

I was lucky enough to sample a few varieties of their pizzas during my visit and I can confidently say I’ve never tasted anything like it before! From their classic cheese to the more inventive topping combinations, every slice was cooked to perfection and packed full of flavour.

Not only do they serve up some tasty pies but they also offer an array of other Italian dishes such as calzones, strombolis and pastas. If you’re not in the mood for pizza they even have salads, sandwiches and wings on the menu too.

The restaurant itself is cozy and inviting, with friendly staff that make sure your experience isn’t just about getting great food – but making memories too. The décor is fun and lively – from the fresh ingredients lining the walls to the cheerful music playing in the background – which really helps set a vibrant atmosphere for your dining experience.

The restaurant has a warm, cozy atmosphere and you can’t help but feel like part of the family as soon as you walk in. The staff is friendly and always willing to answer your questions or offer helpful suggestions.

Their pizza is out of this world, with the perfect combination of crunchy crust, juicy toppings, and gooey cheese. You can choose from all the classic Italian favorites, including our favorite – Margherita – or create your own masterpiece. No matter what you choose, it’s guaranteed to hit the spot!

The pasta dishes are also delicious –I especially love their homemade Lasagna! The subs are freshly made with quality ingredients that make for a tasty meal. Don’t forget about the salads either; they have an amazing selection to choose from and all are incredibly fresh and flavorful!

Valentino’s Brooklyn Style Pizza, Pasta & Subs is definitely worth checking out if you’re ever in The South Bay looking for some of the best pizza around. I guarantee you won’t be disappointed!

#11 Spumoni Trattoria & Pizzeria

I was skeptical at first, but I was quickly won over. The crust was perfectly charred and chewy – not too crunchy, not too soft. And the toppings were cooked to perfection – rich and flavorful without being oily or soggy.

What really impressed me though, were the unique topping combinations. They clearly put thought into every pizza they make! I had a Margarita pizza that was out of this world – it had mozzarella, fresh basil, tomatoes, and a balsamic glaze. It was like nothing I’ve ever tasted before!

And let’s talk about the presentation – it arrived at my table looking like a work of art. Every slice was cut to perfection; each one almost too perfect to eat! But believe me, you’ll want to eat it – even if it means breaking apart the slices so you can get a taste of all that deliciousness!

All in all, I’m giving Spumoni Trattoria & Pizzeria two enthusiastic thumbs up for their amazing pizza creations and unparalleled presentation. This is definitely the best pizza in The South Bay and an absolute must-try if you are in the area!

#12 Papa Guido’s Pizza

I stopped by the restaurant during my most recent trip to the area and I must say, it exceeded all my expectations. So good was the pizza that I’m almost convinced Papa Guido is actually a wizard of some sort!

The restaurant itself has a cozy, homey feel to it and the staff was very friendly. The moment I stepped in, I knew this place meant business. But what really blew me away was the pizza itself. It had an amazing flavor balance between cheese and sauce and the dough was light and fluffy. To top it off, Papa Guido’s signature “magic dust” was nothing short of magical—it added an extra depth of flavor that put this pizza way above anything else I’ve tasted before!

All in all, if you’re ever near The South Bay, do yourself a favor and stop by Papa Guido’s Pizza because trust me —this is definitely some of the best pizza you’ll find in the south bay!

Best Deep Dish Pizza – South Bay Pizza

First, let’s talk about the benefits. One of the major perks is that they serve alcohol. Who doesn’t love getting a little tipsy while indulging in some cheesy goodness? It’s the perfect way to enhance your pizza-eating experience! Plus, they have vegetarian options, so even those herbivore friends of yours can join in on the fun. And if that’s not enough to satisfy your cravings, they even offer dessert! Yes, folks, you can have your deep-dish pizza and eat cake too – what a time to be alive!

Now let’s get to the downsides. The biggest drawback is that South Bay Pizza doesn’t accept reservations. So, be prepared to wait a bit if you’re in a rush or have a super-rumbly tummy.
