I’m no stranger to pizza, having sampled pies from all over the world. I recently set out to find the best pizza in Torrington CT. After tasting twelve different pizzas, I’ve narrowed it down to what I believe are the top contenders – and will tell you which one is my favorite.

#1 Pizza Express

I visited their restaurant a few weeks ago and am still dreaming of the deliciousness that was the pizza. The crust was perfectly cooked, with just enough crunchiness for that great texture contrast. The cheese was melted to perfection and the flavor of the sauce… Wow! All of these components combined together made this an experience I won’t soon forget.

The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always ready with suggestions and willing to accommodate any requests. Nothing was out of bounds – they even let me season my own pizza! They asked what I wanted on it and I told them that I wanted some sort of spicy/sweet combo, so they gave me exactly what I asked for. It was hands down one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had!

But wait, there’s more – Pizza Express isn’t just about pizza. Sure, their pies are absolutely delectable, but they also offer a fantastic selection of salads and other Italian-inspired dishes like lasagna and eggplant parmesan. Plus, they have desserts galore – from classic cannolis to tiramisu cake. Yum!

My visit to Pizza Express didn’t just leave my taste buds satisfied – it left me feeling like royalty! Friendly staff, amazing food… this is truly the best pizza in Torrington CT!

#2 Pizzeria Marzano

The atmosphere is casual and welcoming, and the staff was friendly and helpful. The menu included a wide variety of classic pizza options as well as some unique specialty pizzas.

I decided to try their signature pizza – the Marzano Classic – and it did not disappoint! The crust was perfectly crisp, the sauce flavorful, the cheese nicely melted, and the toppings fresh. It was definitely one of my favorite pizzas I’ve ever tasted.

The selection of desserts at Pizzeria Marzano was also excellent. I tried their chocolate chip cookie pizza with ice cream, which was a heavenly combination of sweetness and creaminess.

Pizzeria Marzano is truly a hidden gem in Torrington CT. If you’re looking for delicious, authentic Italian-style pizza, this is definitely a must-try!

#3 Berkshire Cafe

This cozy little spot has the perfect atmosphere for a night out. They serve both beer and hard liquor, so you don’t have to worry about going thirsty. Plus, they have several TVs around the restaurant, so if there’s a game on you won’t miss a minute of the action.

The pizza itself is something special. The slices are huge and aren’t skimpy with the toppings. I still can taste that quality blend of cheeses and spices on my tongue! The crust is also very light and crunchy, perfected over years of practice by Berkshire Cafe’s master chef.

My only complaint? No delivery! Otherwise it would definitely be my go-to spot on days when I just want to stay at home with my friends while enjoying some of the best pizza in Torrington CT.

#4 Harwinton Pizza & Restaurant

From the moment I stepped through their doors, I knew I was in for a treat. The restaurant’s interior is modern and inviting, with plenty of tables for larger groups.

I decided to sample their signature dish – the Margherita pizza. Upon first bite, I could tell that this pizza was definitely going to be special. The crust was cooked perfectly, with just enough crunch before it yielded to the chewy center. Plus, it had that delicious charred flavor you can’t get anywhere else.

The sauce was rich and flavorful too, while the mozzarella cheese melted in my mouth and completed the experience. To top it all off, they even managed to pull off some excellent topping choices – tomatoes, red onions and fresh basil worked together harmoniously!

Without a doubt, Harwinton Pizza & Restaurant has some of the best pizza in Torrington CT and has converted me into an instant fan of theirs!

#5 Roma Pizza

I entered the restaurant with high expectations and was amazed by what I saw. The pizza oven was in clear view behind the counter and it was obvious that they take their craft seriously.

The pizza dough was cooked to perfection — crusty on the outside, soft on the inside. The topping choices were numerous and it took me awhile to decide which one I wanted! In the end, I chose a classic pepperoni and cheese pizza. When served, I couldn’t believe how delicious it smelled! After taking my first bite, I realized that this pizza truly lived up to its hype as some of the best in Torrington.

The atmosphere was also great at Roma Pizza. It had a cozy, family-friendly vibe that made it easy to relax while chowing down on my pizza slices. In addition to the wonderful food, they also provided excellent customer service from start to finish.

If you’re ever looking for amazing pizza in Torrington CT, I highly recommend checking out Roma Pizza! They offer an unbeatable combination of delicious food, excellent atmosphere, and great customer service for an all around enjoyable experience!

#6 Hometown Pizza II

The first thing that I noticed about the restaurant was the ambience. It feels like a cozy neighborhood spot with an inviting atmosphere and friendly staff. Plus, there’s a wide selection of craft beers to choose from!

The pizzas are made with fresh ingredients, and they have some unique combinations. I especially enjoyed the “Tex-Mex” pizza: it had all of your favorite Mexican toppings (taco meat, jalapeños, etc.) but on top of a delicious thin crust!

I also thought their side dishes were just as fantastic. Their garlic breadsticks and salad were big hits in our group. They also have amazing desserts such as homemade cannolis and tiramisu.

Overall, Hometown Pizza II is definitely worth visiting if you’re looking for the best pizza in Torrington CT! Everything from the atmosphere to the food was top notch. Highly recommended!

#7 Sasso’s Coal Fired Pizza

The pizza is simply delicious. The crust has a wonderful coal-fired flavor, and the cheese is melted to perfection. The toppings are fresh and flavorful. I especially enjoyed the house special – pepperoni, mushrooms, onions, and green peppers.

The restaurant atmosphere itself is great as well. Unlike some places that have a very sterile feel to them, Sasso’s is warm and inviting. There’s live music playing in the background and plenty of cozy areas for seating. It truly feels like you’re part of a family when you dine here!

I’m always excited when I find a pizza place as good as Sasso’s Coal Fired Pizza! If you haven’t tried it yet, make sure to check it out – I guarantee you won’t regret it!

#8 Vinny’s Restaurant & Pizza

The atmosphere is vibrant and energetic – the waiters are friendly and professional, and the kitchen always sends out piping hot pizzas. Every time I order a pie from Vinny’s, it looks like it was plucked straight from a brick oven in Italy. The crust is perfectly crunchy and chewy on the outside with a soft center, and the cheese is always melted to perfection. The fresh toppings that they use make each slice beyond delicious.

The highlight here though has got to be the wide selection of specialty pies that they offer! May I recommend their excellent chicken parmesan pizza? It has just the right mix of crispy cheese, savory sauce, and succulent poultry that will make your taste buds rejoice!

#9 Anthony’s Restaurant

When entering the restaurant, it was easy to tell they take pizza seriously. The walls were adorned with photos of popular pizzas and the smell of fresh dough and marinara sauce filled the room.

I ordered a classic pepperoni pizza and I could already see that this would be no ordinary pizza experience. When the pie arrived, I couldn’t believe my eyes! The crust was as thin as paper but still had a wonderful crunch. The topping was generous and delicious, with loads of melted cheese, savory pepperoni, and just enough sauce to hold it all together.

I left Anthony’s Restaurant feeling full and happy. It’s clear this establishment knows how to make good pizza, which is why I believe it deserves to be called the best pizza in Torrington CT!

#10 Giovanni’s Ristorante & Pizzeria

It’s not easy to find a great pizza place in a small town, but Giovanni’s has nailed it. They make their dough fresh daily and stretch it out in front of you which creates the most perfect thin and crispy crust. The toppings are always fresh and they have a great selection to choose from, including my favorite – sausage and pepperoni.

I’ve tried several of the specialty pies as well and all of them have been fantastic! Whether it’s the white pizza with garlic, spinach and feta cheese or the regular pizza with bacon and pineapple, every bite is perfection. And if that’s not enough, the service at Giovanni’s is top notch. The waitstaff is friendly and attentive so you never have to worry about a long wait for your food.

From the very first bite, I knew that this pizza was something special. The crust was perfectly cooked and had a crispy crunch every time. It’s clear that they use quality ingredients here at Pizza Palace as the dough was light and flavorful!

I also got to try their signature pizza which was a pleasant surprise. The sauce was zesty and the toppings were cooked to perfection. Every single bite was an explosion of flavor in my mouth!

Aside from just the delicious food, Pizza Palace is also equipped with great customer service. All of their staff are friendly and attentive and you can tell that they truly care about their customers’ experience.

I’ve had the pleasure of trying a few different pizzas here and they’re all delicious. The crust is just crispy enough to provide the perfect balance against their homemade sauce and fresh toppings, and they don’t skimp on the cheese either!

The wings at Joe’s are also excellent! They come in a variety of flavors like garlic parmesan, BBQ, and hot & spicy, so there’s something for everyone. Plus their portion size is generous – you definitely won’t go away hungry.

Another great thing about Joe’s Pizza & Wings is that their delivery service is super fast and reliable. I’ve never had any problems with them being late or having a wrong order; they get it to your door quickly and accurately every time!
