From New York-style to wood-fired, I’ve tasted it all here. With at least twelve stellar pizza places to choose from in Ventura, I set out to find the very best.

I went into this mission with high hopes, and a little skepticism… could Ventura really live up to some of the delicious slices I’ve had elsewhere in the world? Well, let’s just say my skepticism was unfounded! I’m here to give you an honest review of Ventura’s top pizza places so that you can get your cheesy fix without having to leave town.

#1 Marco’s

First and foremost, the atmosphere is great. The walls are adorned with old Italian-style movie posters – definitely adds to the ambience. Plus, the staff are friendly and helpful – you can tell they genuinely care about giving customers an enjoyable experience.

Second, their pizza is truly top notch. I had a cheese and pepperoni slice – it was delicious! The dough is thin and crunchy, yet still fluffy and tender inside. The cheese is nicely melted with just enough of a cheese pull when you take a bite. And that pepperoni? It’s nice and spicy without being overpowering – flavorful and full of zest.

All in all, Marco’s is a great place to stop by for a quick meal or pick up some slices on your way home from work. I highly recommend it if you’re looking for the best pizza in Ventura!

#2 Marco’s Pizza

As soon as I walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting. The staff greeted me with plenty of smiles and kindness, which was a nice touch.

The menu items were delightfully varied and include something for everyone – different types of crusts, sizes, sauces, cheeses, meats and veggies. Intriguing speciality pizzas included things like BBQ chicken pizza and even taco pizza! It was definitely worth trying them all out.

And when the pies arrived they certainly did not disappoint! The sauce had just the right amount of spice and popped with flavor. The dough was so soft it felt like it melted in my mouth. And let’s talk about the cheese; the gooeyness was perfection!

So to wrap it up, if you’re looking for some of the best pizza in Ventura then Marco’s Pizza is definitely your spot. Hats off to you Marco – your pies are truly a slice above the rest!

#3 Tony’s Pizzaria

The first thing that hit me when I walked in the door was the smell of wood fired ovens and freshly-made pies. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, with rustic wooden tables, chairs and a friendly staff to greet you, like an old friend.

The pizza itself was outstanding. The crust was thin but perfectly cooked and had a delightful flavor. The sauce was fresh, flavorful and didn’t overpower the flavors of the toppings. Speaking of which, my toppings were all top notch – pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms and onions all cooked to perfection without being overly greasy or too salty.

To top it all off, I also sampled their signature Italian salad which I devoured in no time! It was just enough to round out an incredible meal.

All in all, Tony’s Pizzaria has some of the best pizza I’ve ever tasted in Ventura! If you’re looking for a delicious pizza experience that won’t break the bank – head on over to Tony’s Pizzaria for a memorable meal!

I can say with complete confidence that this pizza joint stands out from the rest. The atmosphere is lively, yet inviting, and the decor is modern, up-to-date, and great for a casual night out with friends.

The crew at Toppers Pizza Place are so friendly and accommodating; they really make you feel like family! They take orders quickly and efficiently while keeping guests informed of specials.

And now to the pizza! This is where Toppers Pizza Place really shines. Their pies are delicious – every last bite was loaded with gooey cheese, crisp crust, and amazing toppings. And did I mention there’s a wide selection of specialty pizzas? From classic combinations to off-the-wall ones, it would take multiple visits to try them all!

I visit the restaurant on a bustling Saturday night and the atmosphere was lively. There is classic pizza decor all around the walls, like posters of old-timey pizzas and vintage photos of iconic pizza makers. It really sets the mood for an authentic pizza experience!

The menu is impressive with all sorts of different kinds of pies to choose from. I opted for their signature pie, which was topped with pepperoni, mushrooms, sausage, black olives, red onions, and green peppers. The blend of toppings were sublime!

As soon as I took my first bite, I could tell that this was some of the best pizza I’d had in Ventura! The crust was crispy yet chewy at just the right thickness. The sauce was flavorful and not too sweet. And it was all topped off with generous amounts of cheese! I simply couldn’t get enough.

After finishing up my meal, I am proud to declare that The Original Pizza Chief makes some of the best pizzas in Ventura! From their inviting atmosphere to their quality pizzas – they have something that everyone can enjoy. Plus they don’t skimp on the toppings either! Highly recommended!

#6 Toppers Pizza

I was blown away by the quality of their crust. It had the perfect consistency – not too thin and not too thick! The sauce was cooked to perfection and the cheese selection was top notch. The combination of flavors they assemble is truly something special.

The customer service at Toppers Pizza was also great. Everyone seemed very passionate about the restaurant and went out of their way to make sure I had a good experience.

Of course, one of the most important aspects of pizza is how it tastes once you take a bite. And let me tell you, Toppers Pizza nails it on that front! The combination of toppings with the homemade dough made each slice burst with flavor.

From the moment I stepped into the restaurant, I could tell that this place was for real pizza connoisseurs. The restaurant felt like a warm, cozy family-owned joint with classic Italian decor on the walls and pizza-making tools hanging around.

The staff was friendly and helpful, which made me feel right at home. But it was the pizza that blew me away! The crust had a perfect level of crunchiness and just enough saltiness to make it unforgettable. Plus, their homemade red sauce tasted like something straight out of my grandmother’s kitchen.

When it comes to topping options, Pizza Chief delivers in spades. Not only did they offer classic favorites like pepperoni and mushrooms but also some daring combinations like banana peppers and pickled jalapenos. It was clear that whoever puts together the menu has an eye for good flavor combinations.

Upon entering the restaurant, you’re instantly taken away by the inviting atmosphere. It’s bright, airy and has a very welcoming feel that puts your mind at ease. The staff is very friendly and attentive, making sure to answer any questions you may have about their menu.

The menu features a variety of delicious pizzas, including classic Margheritas, pepperoni pies and even gourmet offerings like shrimp scampi pizza. Every pizza is made with fresh ingredients and cooked to perfection in their brick oven. I had the Margherita and it was one of the best-tasting pizzas I’ve ever had—crispy on the outside yet soft on the inside with an amazing blend of flavors that make it hard to beat.

All the other food offerings at SPASSO Cucina Italiana are equally delicious, especially the creamy pasta dishes and hearty Italian sandwiches. Even for dessert, you’ll find great homemade gelato that rivals some of Italy’s best ice cream parlors!

Without question, SPASSO Cucina Italiana serves up some of Ventura’s best pizza. Whether you’re in town for a visit or if you’re simply looking for an awesome dinner spot, this is definitely worth checking out!

I ordered a basic pepperoni pizza and the aroma that filled the air when it arrived was amazing. The crust was thin, yet crispy and the generous amount of cheese was like a flavor explosion in my mouth. The pepperoni was cooked to perfection – not too dry or greasy.

The service at Jimmy’s was friendly and attentive. I could tell they take great pride in their work because all the staff were knowledgeable about their pizzas, which is so important to me as a food critic.

Overall, I enjoyed my experience at Jimmy’s and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a tasty meal or snack. It’s definitely one of the best pizza places in Ventura!

From the moment I stepped in, I knew this was going to be a special experience. The smell of freshly cooked pizza hit me like a wave, and I felt like I’d already sampled their fare without tasting anything yet.

But it was the pizza that really made an impression: they offer four signature pies that all have unique recipes – from the classic margherita pizza to the bold eggplant parmesan delight – each one crafted with care by experienced hands.

#11 Valentino’s Take & Bake Pizza

It’s a great place to satisfy your pizza craving without having to actually leave home. All you have to do is order online, pick up the pizza at their store and pop it into your own oven when you’re ready for some deliciousness.

I had the pleasure of trying the Hawaiian Delight pizza, which was topped with sweet pineapple, salty ham and gooey cheese — yum! The flavor combinations were spot-on, and the ingredients were fresh and cooked perfectly.

The crust was also phenomenal. It was golden-brown on the outside with just the right thickness, but still crispy. I haven’t found a pizzeria out there that can match this level of quality and taste.

In summary, Valentino’s Take & Bake Pizza is hands down my top choice for the best pizza in Ventura! Highly recommended.

#12 Presto Pasta

My first impression upon walking into Presto Pasta was that it totally looks the part of a classic Italian pizza joint. The pizza ovens were crackling and the smell of deliciousness permeated the air. And, when I got my first slice, I knew I’d found something special!

The crust was just perfect – crispy and yet still chewy. The mozzarella cheese was stringy and delightful and it had just the right amount of sauce. It also had a nice sprinkling of herbs which gave it a great flavor.

After testing out a few different slices, I’m convinced that Presto Pasta is serving some of the best pizza in Ventura. Plus, the service here is always attentive and friendly so you’re sure to have an enjoyable experience each time you visit.

Best Thin Crust Pizza – Toppers Pizza

When I first walked into Toppers, the aroma of freshly baked pizza hit me like a cheesy freight train. I couldn’t help but salivate as I saw the pizzas being twirled in the air by the skillful pizza makers. It was like watching a culinary ballet, except with more dough tossing and less pirouetting.

The menu at Toppers is a pizza lover’s dream come true. They have an array of delicious toppings that range from the classic pepperoni to the unconventional pineapple and jalapenos. I decided to be a little adventurous and ordered a combination of jalapenos, mushrooms, and bacon. Let me tell you, it was a flavor explosion in my mouth. The thin crust was crispy and perfectly browned, providing the ideal base for all the toppings to shine.

As I took my first bite, I couldn’t help but let out a loud Mamma Mia! To top it all off, the service at Toppers was exceptional. The staff was friendly and efficient, making sure that my pizza arrived piping hot and my drink never ran dry. They even threw in some extra garlic knots as a little token of pizza paradise.

Best Wood Fired Pizza – MidiCi Wood Fired Pizza

When I first stepped into MidiCi, I felt like I had been transported to a cozy little Italian pizzeria. The wood-fired oven was roaring, and the aroma of fresh ingredients filled the air. I could practically taste the deliciousness before I even sat down.

Now, let’s talk about the pizza itself. I ordered the Margherita, and it was love at first bite. The crust was perfectly thin and crispy, with just the right amount of char from the wood-fired oven. The sauce was tangy and the cheese was gooey goodness. Each bite was a flavor explosion in my mouth!
