I ended up having a sausage and pepperoni pie that was finger-licking good. And let’s not forget their yummy desserts – they really hit the spot after our meal!
But what really stuck out to me was the fact that they served alcohol. This made it a perfect spot for tourists, as well as locals, who wanted to have some drinks with their dinner.
The only downside is that Slow Rise Slice House doesn’t offer delivery services – which is understandable, considering how good the pizzas are! Still, if you’re looking for some of the best pizza in Waco TX and don’t mind eating out, then this is definitely a top pick!

#9 Poppa Rollo’s Pizza – Hewitt Dr.
- Offers dessert
- Has some vegetarian options
- Nice tourist spot
- Has a kid’s menu
- Great place to watch sports

Upon arriving, I was immediately swarmed by the distinct aroma of melted cheese and perfectly baked dough. The restaurant itself was rather small, but that didn’t take away from its charm. There were posters of classic Italian movies hanging on the walls and even an old-style jukebox in one corner.
When it came time to order, I was overwhelmed by the sheer number of delicious options! They have all kinds of pizzas – from traditional margherita to gourmet pies featuring unusual ingredients like pineapples or artichokes. Of course, I had to try one of their popular combos: a large pepperoni with a side of garlic knots. And boy, it did not disappoint!
The crust was just right – crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside – while the toppings were fresh and flavorful. The garlic knots were also superb; they were soft and buttery with just the right amount of garlic flavor. #10 Rosati’s Pizza
- Serves alcohol
- Has some vegetarian options
I noticed right away that the restaurant had a more upscale atmosphere with its interior design. The tables and chairs were spaced out nicely, creating an inviting environment.
The pizza itself was amazing. I saw some of their specialty pizzas come out of the oven, and they smelled so good that my mouth was instantly watering! All the ingredients tasted fresh and none of it resembled something from a frozen box. The crust was surprisingly thick, but still light and fluffy like a freshly made Italian pizza should be.
But what really set Rosati’s Pizza apart from other pizza places is their sauce – it has such a unique flavor! It’s like nothing I’ve ever tasted before and it’s definitely something that had me coming back for more. I cannot recommend this pizza highly enough to anyone looking for the best pizza in Waco TX – you won’t be disappointed!

I recently visited the restaurant and was completely blown away. Not only do they serve up delicious pizza, but they also offer a great selection of alcohol, desserts, and a special kid’s menu. All in all, this place is an awesome place to bring the family and enjoy great food together!
The best part of all happened when I tasted the pizza… it was simply out of this world! Every bite was loaded with flavor. The dough was cooked to perfection, and the toppings were fresh and tasty. It was definitely the highlight of my trip to Waco!
My only complaint about Peter Piper Pizza is that they don’t offer delivery (at least not yet!). Other than that though, I can honestly say that it’s one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had—definitely worth making a stop if you’re ever in town!

The crust is perfectly crunchy on the outside while staying wonderfully soft on the inside. It’s hard to find anything else like it!
