I’ve traveled all over the world and tasted some of the best pizza out there, but coming home to Wauwatosa has given me a unique opportunity. After being away for so long, I was eager to put together a list of the best pizza places in the area. After trying twelve different places, I think I’ve got a great selection for you to choose from.

This review will be lighthearted and humorous – after all, who doesn’t love pizza? Let’s dive into what makes these twelve pizza joints the very best in Wauwatosa!

#1 Wy’east Pizza

Every time I visit, I’m never disappointed with their delicious offerings, from classic margheritas to creative pies. What really sets them apart is their range of vegetarian options and the fact that they serve alcohol – which is a must for me when eating pizza!

The atmosphere at Wy’east Pizza is always buzzing and it’s easy to see why – the food is top-notch and the staff are always friendly. The only downside is that they don’t offer delivery, but the praise I’ve heard of their thin-crust pizza makes it well worth visiting in person.

All things considered, Wy’east Pizza has earned its title as the best pizza in Wauwatosa. If you’re ever in the area, this spot should be your number one destination! Plus, they even have a selection of desserts so you can finish off your meal with something sweet!

#2 Balistreri’s Italian-American Ristorante

I was especially impressed with the restaurant’s vegetarian options, something that can be hard to come by in a pizza joint. But forget about the main course, the dessert is what really blew me away. I had the tiramisu and it was insanely good!

The restaurant has a nice atmosphere too, so it makes for a great tourist spot. Plus, they serve alcohol and have a kid’s menu just in case you’re out with your family. The only downside is that they don’t offer delivery, but if you can make it out there then you won’t be disappointed! Balistreri’s Italian-American Ristorante has some of the best pizza in Wauwatosa and I definitely recommend it if you’re looking for an amazing Italian meal.

#3 Sluggo’s Sports Pub & Grill

The first thing I noticed when walking in for my pizza-tasting experience was the wide selection of beer and hard liquor. If eating great pizza isn’t enough, you can also indulge in some libations while you watch the game. The atmosphere is open, lively, and friendly – just the place to come on game night.

Now for what I’m truly there for — the pizza. Sluggo’s does not let down in that department either! They offer a variety of options including deep dish, thin crust, and gluten-free crusts made with locally sourced ingredients. Every slice comes out hot, cheesy and packed with flavor.

My one complaint is that Sluggo’s doesn’t do delivery — one has to go out of their way to enjoy this wonderful pizza experience!

The atmosphere was just what I like – upbeat, trendy, and hip. With the sleek, modern decor and energetic music playing in the background, I felt like I’d stepped into a time machine and had been transported to the future of pizza eating.

When it comes to the menu, there’s something for everyone – from classic favorites to daring foodie flavor combinations. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable and helpful in helping you pick out the perfect toppings so that your pizza will be nothing short of perfection.

But how does their pizza stack up? The answer is: really well! MOD Pizza has some of the freshest and most flavorful ingredients around. Every bite was delicious – packed with flavor, nicely crunchy on the outside, yet still chewy on the inside. It’s like they took all my favorite things about great pizza and put them into one heavenly slice of cheesy goodness.

On top of that, ordering at MOD Pizza is super fast and easy – all you have to do is pick your toppings and wait a few minutes for your dream pizza to be cooked! And who doesn’t love a good bargain? Happy hour specials are offered which make their already reasonably priced pizzas even more affordable.

All in all, MOD Pizza definitely lives up to its reputation as having some of the best pizza in Wauwatosa . With such a wide variety of flavorful options and unbeatable prices, why not give this place a try? You won’t regret it!

The moment I walked in, I knew I was in for something special. The smell of baked dough and succulent sauce permeated the air and made my mouth water. The staff were friendly and accommodating, which immediately put me at ease.

When it came to the pizza itself, I had no doubt that Caradaro Club Pizza was going to exceed expectations. Right off the bat, the crust was perfectly crispy and crunchy with a flavor you can only get from an authentic wood-fired oven. The cheese was melty and gooey without being greasy while the toppings were flavorful and plentiful. The combination of ingredients created a harmony of taste that left me wanting more – so much more!

I understand why Caradaro Club Pizza is known around Wauwatosa as one of the best pizzerias in town. If you’re looking for great pizza, definitely give them a try!

#6 Barbiere’s Italian Restaurant on Bluemound

The first thing I noticed when I walked in was how clean and inviting the atmosphere was. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable and quick to take our order.

Once we got our pizza, it was clear that Barbiere’s Italian Restaurant is no ordinary pizza joint. The crust was light and crisp, the sauce had a zesty flavor with just the perfect amount of garlic, and each topping was cooked to absolute perfection!

I especially enjoyed their selection of specialty pies–the BBQ Chicken pizza was outstanding! As for drinks, they have an impressive selection of craft beers to pair with your pie.

Overall, my experience at Barbiere’s Italian Restaurant on Bluemound was positive from beginning to end. I laughed at all the funny jokes exchanged between workers, felt right at home in their cozy atmosphere, and left feeling full and satisfied after some of the best pizza in Wauwatosa!

#7 Ian’s Pizza Milwaukee | Story Hill

My first impression of Ian’s Pizza Milwaukee | Story Hill was one of awe – the interior was tastefully decorated and the atmosphere was relaxed and inviting. The service staff at Ian’s Pizza Milwaukee| Story Hill were friendly and attentive, which made our dining experience that much more enjoyable.

The pizza itself is nothing short of extraordinary – it has a light and crispy crust, full-flavored sauce, freshly shredded cheese, and perfectly cooked toppings. It’s definitely some of the best pizza I’ve ever had! And if you’re looking for something unique and different, they have some amazing specialty pizzas that you will absolutely love.

My experience at Marco’s was everything I dreamed of for a pizza night out. The restaurant itself is cozy and inviting, with great decor and atmosphere. And the staff couldn’t have been nicer!

But the true star of the show is definitely the pizza. From my first bite I knew why it’s world famous – this stuff is seriously delicious! With perfectly-flavored dough, fresh veggies, smoky sausage, and quality cheese all combined in perfect proportions, every bite is like a blissful journey to pizza heaven.

I’d also be remiss not to mention the incredible selection of craft beer on tap. Seriously, it’s enough to make any pizza-loving beer geek go wild!

If you’re looking for true gourmet pizza right here in Wauwatosa, then Marco’s “World Famous” Pizza – Northwest deserves your attention. It may just be the best pizza in town!

#9 Lalli’s Pizza

I was pleasantly surprised when I entered Lalli’s Pizza. The atmosphere was extremely inviting and the staff were incredibly friendly. From the moment I stepped inside, I knew that this would be a good experience.

When it came time to order, I went with a classic: their signature hand-tossed cheese pizza. What arrived at my table was nothing short of heavenly. The crust had been perfectly crispy and the cheese gooey and flavorful – all the signs of true pizza perfection!

The toppings weren’t anything to scoff at either; after ordering several slices with different toppings, each one seemed like it had been crafted by an artisan chef. It was clear that Lalli’s Pizza takes pride in their ingredients, which helps create some of the best pies in Wauwatosa.

All in all, my experience at Lalli’s Pizza was top notch – so much so that I’ll definitely be back again soon! If you’re ever in Wauwatosa looking for great pizza, don’t hesitate to make a stop at Lalli’s Pizza – it won’t disappoint!

I’ve had a lot of pizza, but none of them can compare to the deliciousness that is Toppers Pizza. From the crust to the toppings and the sauce, everything was just perfect!

To start, their crust is top-notch and cooked to perfection. It’s golden brown on the outside, with a soft center that literally melts in your mouth. And when it comes to toppings – they have everything from Italian sausage, pepperoni and jalapenos to pineapple and mushrooms. No matter what combination you go with, you can’t go wrong!

And lastly, their sauce is something special as well. Not too sweet or salty; it’s just right. They also offer a variety of dipping sauces ranging from ranch to garlic buttery spread that take your pizza experience up a notch (or two!).

All in all, I’d highly recommend Toppers Pizza if you’re looking for some of the best pizza in Wauwatosa! You won’t be disappointed!

#11 BB’s on North

When I entered BB’s, the first thing that struck me was their expansive menu. From classic Italian-style pies to unique creations like their mac and cheese pizza, they have something for everyone. I decided to try their signature “BB’s on North” pie which included pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms, onions and green peppers.

The pizza itself was cooked to perfection! The crust was crispy and packed with flavor, while the toppings were fresh, flavorful and plentiful. I must admit that this is the best pizza I’ve had in Wauwatosa so far!

The service at BB’s is friendly and professional. Our server provided us with helpful suggestions on what to order and answered any questions we had. Plus, they offer discounts if you take out a large order as well as delivery options which are great for busy days when you don’t have time to cook dinner.

All in all, BB’s on North is definitely worth a visit for anyone who loves great-tasting pizza. Whether you’re looking for something classic or creative, there’s something here for everyone!

#12 IL MITO Trattoria e Enoteca

The atmosphere is one of the best parts of IL MITO. With the inviting Italian decor, you can instantly tell how passionate they are about pizza. The service was outstanding. Our server was incredibly knowledgeable and attentive to our needs. He made sure we had the perfect pairings with our pizzas and gave great suggestions for what to order with our drinks.

The food was spectacular! The crust on their pizzas is crunchy yet still soft in the middle. All of their pies are cooked in a wood-fired oven, giving them an amazing smoky flavor that can’t be imitated elsewhere. I tried several unique toppings like gnocchi, olives, roasted peppers, and prosciutto and they all tasted amazing!

Overall, I highly recommend IL MITO Trattoria e Enoteca for anyone looking for the best pizza in Wauwatosa! It’s definitely worth your time (and money) when it comes to great Italian fare.
