I’m always looking for the best in pizza no matter where I go, so when I heard about all the great places West Des Moines had to offer, I had to check them out. After an exhaustive search and trying out twelve different places, I have to say, these are some of the best pies you can find anywhere!

The moment I stepped into the restaurant, I could tell the passion their staff had for creating the perfect pizza. Even with a full house, my order was ready in no time due to an incredibly efficient and friendly staff.

The pizza was out of this world! The cheese was so flavorful, the dough so crispy and the tomato sauce so fresh it felt like New York had come alive in West Des Moines. Every topping was perfectly balanced – from pepperoni to mushrooms – and alluringly arranged on top of the pizza.

My first impression of the restaurant was that it had a cozy, family-friendly atmosphere. The staff was super friendly and helpful; they seemed truly passionate about their craft.

One thing that really stood out to me was the pizzas – there is no shortage of delicious, mouthwatering options here. Whether you’re in the mood for a classic pepperoni pizza or something more unique like their BBQ chicken pizza, you won’t be disappointed! The crust is thin and crispy and just melts in your mouth. The sauce has just the right amount of sweetness; it complemented the flavors perfectly.

The atmosphere was lively and the pizza was nothing short of delicious. I tried their classic, Napolitana Pepperoni – it was as close to perfection as pizza can get! The dough had just the right amount of crunch, while the mozzarella was melted to perfection. Plus, the oregano added a nice hint of flavor that made it stand out from other pizzas I’ve had before.

The toppings were also spot on. The pepperoni slices weren’t too thick or too thin – they perfectly complimented the sauce and cheese! Also, the veggies were nicely seasoned and cooked so each bite tasted fresh and flavorful. As for the portion size, they certainly weren’t stingy with their serving size either – one pie could easily feed two (or even three people).

The first thing that struck me as I walked in the door was the aroma of fresh, handmade pizza. It was like I’d been transported to a pizza utopia! The next thing I noticed was all the smiling faces – everyone seemed so happy and genuinely excited to be here.

The menu offers a wide variety of classic and specialty pizzas, along with delicious sides and desserts. We decided to try their specialty, ‘The Italiano’, which was made with both Italian sausage and pepperoni.

On our first bite, we were in pizza heaven! The crust was perfectly crisp, with just the right amount of chewiness. The combination of flavors from the sausage and pepperoni were perfectly balanced, making it one of the most delicious pies I’ve ever tasted! One slice wasn’t enough – we ended up ordering two extra slices just to make sure we got enough!

To top off our delicious meal, we tried their cannolis for dessert – they were absolutely divine!

This wasn’t an easy decision, as I’ve tasted pizza in some of the most renowned places on the planet. However, I have to say that the pizza at Blaze Pizza was simply divine.

The first thing that caught my eye was how fresh all of their ingredients were – from the thick and delicious cheese to the spicy yet subtle tomato sauce. The crust was perfectly light and crispy, too! Plus, there’s a ton of topping options to choose from, so you can really customize your own experience.

But the best part about Blaze Pizza is how fast it is. It took me no time at all to get my delicious meal! Plus, their prices are super affordable – honestly I’m still dumbfounded by just how cheap it was for such a great-tasting pizza.

All in all, I’d give Blaze Pizza a 10/10 rating – easily one of the best pizzas I’ve had in West Des Moines!

From the moment I stepped inside, I knew Coach’s Pizza was something special. From the cozy atmosphere to the delicious smell of pizza coming from the ovens, my appetite was immediately stimulated.

I promptly ordered a medium pepperoni pizza, and let me tell you, it did not disappoint! The crust was perfectly thin yet delightfully crispy, and the pepperoni pieces were surprisingly large and flavorful. The sauce was hearty and seasoned to perfection with delightful Italian herbs that really made this pizza stand out from all the others!

The service at Coach’s Pizza was also outstanding – friendly and attentive with plenty of smiles. It certainly added to the overall dining experience.

I also truly appreciated their selection of specialty topping combinations – even some that sounded too wild for my taste buds (Surf & Turf Pizza?!)

But above all, it’s the sauce that really sets Godfather’s apart from other pizza joints in town. With a delightful blend of sweetness, spice and tanginess, it goes so well with each bite – like music playing in harmony with every note hitting its mark.

I was immediately struck by the inviting atmosphere, from the warm décor to the friendly staff. Upon ordering my meal, I could already tell that my pizza was going to be great. The thin crust had just enough crispiness and the toppings were fresh and flavorful.

The sauce had an amazing depth of flavor, as if it was slowly cooked for hours. The cheese melted perfectly and added a creamy finish to every bite. And don’t even get me started on the pepperoni – it was so savory and almost gave off an aroma of its own!

Overall, I’d say Chuck Celsi’s Tavern Restaurant definitely lives up to its reputation as the best pizza place in West Des Moines. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a delicious pizza experience.

#11 Tavern Pizza & Pasta Grill

The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, with a rustic Italian-style design. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful too – the perfect place for a casual dinner.

The pizza here is outstanding! I tried a classic pepperoni, which had the perfect balance of cheese, sauce, and crust. It was cooked just right, giving it a crunchy exterior that contrasted nicely with the gooey cheese inside. As someone who has eaten pizza in many countries around the world, I can confidently say that this pizza is definitely up there with some of the best.

I also sampled some of their pasta dishes and they were delicious too! The fettuccine alfredo was creamy and flavorful, with just enough garlic to give it an extra kick. And the lasagna had layers upon layers of cheesy goodness – even better than my grandmother’s!

I had the pleasure of trying the deep dish Chicago-style pizza and it was incredible. The cheese was flavorful and oozy, the crust was perfectly golden brown and crunchy, and the toppings were plentiful. I’ve rarely found a place where they don’t skimp on ingredients!

I really loved the atmosphere at Giordano’s too. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and my waitress went out of her way to make sure I had an enjoyable meal. Plus, there’s a great selection of beers on tap to accompany your pizza in case you get thirsty during your meal.

To top it all off, Giordano’s offers good value for money. For just $10 I got an entire large pizza with unlimited refills – that’s a bargain for such delicious food!
