I’ve tasted pizza in places all over the world, from Chicago to Rome. I’m here to tell you that Winchester is home to some of the best pizza I’ve ever had.

I recently visited 12 pizza places in Winchester and am excited to share my findings with you. I’ll take you through a humorous and lighthearted journey of the best pizza in Winchester and what makes each place worth trying!

#1 Sbarro

As soon as I walked in, the sweet smell of Italian herbs and spices wafted through the air. The interior decor is modern and comfortable, making it a great spot for an intimate dinner or a night out with friends.

The staff here is extremely friendly, always willing to go above and beyond to ensure your satisfaction. Every time I visited Sbarro, my orders were ready quickly and just as I had envisioned them.

Now let’s talk about the pizza. This is definitely some of the best pizza I’ve ever tasted – it’s flavorful, cheesy, and cooked to perfection! Whether you’re looking for something traditional like cheese or pepperoni pizza or something more exotic like calzones or stuffed crusts, Sbarro has you covered.

Overall, I think Sbarro has conquered the challenge of making the best pizza in Winchester VA! If you’re ever in town looking for an amazing slice of pizza, look no further than Sbarro.

#2 Pizzoco Pizza Parlor

The atmosphere was inviting, the staff were friendly and accommodating, and most importantly, the pizza was out-of-this-world delicious! I went for the classic pepperoni pizza with extra cheese, and it was so good that I’m already planning a return visit.

One of the things I love about Pizzoco is how they make their pizzas. Instead of using frozen dough that you buy from a store, they make their dough in house every day. That means each slice comes out fresh and full of flavor! And to top it off, they use all natural ingredients which makes the whole experience that much better.

All in all, Pizzoco Pizza Parlor is certainly worthy of its title as one of the best pizza places in Winchester VA. If you’re looking for an unforgettable pizza experience, then this is definitely the place to go!

#3 Oak Stone Craft Pizza and Bar

The crust was thin yet flavorful and was cooked to perfection. The sauce was sweet, spicy and had a wonderful taste of herbs. The toppings were juicy and succulent, ranging from pepperoni and sausage to an array of fresh veggies like bell peppers, mushrooms and onions. On top of it all the cheese was melted to just the right consistency- not too little, not too much.

I also must mention that this restaurant serves alcohol (and hard liquor!), so adults can have a few drinks with their meal as well. And for those with young kids, there’s also a kid’s menu! Vegetarian options are available as well, so everyone can enjoy Oak Stone Craft Pizza’s delectable offerings.

But the best part of my experience has to be the dessert. My taste buds were literally dancing in delight after tasting their insanely good brownie sundae!

The only downside is that they don’t offer delivery service, but I’m sure that won’t stop you from visiting this lovely establishment if you’re looking for the best pizza in Winchester VA!

#4 Domino’s Pizza

I’ve been a fan of this pizza place since I first tried it in college, and every time I go back, the standards of excellence remain unchanged. The crust is light and crispy with just the right amount of oil to crisp up that perfect texture. The sauce has the perfect balance of sweetness and savory flavors. And whatever toppings you choose – pepperoni, mushrooms, olives, onions – they all come together for a flavor experience like no other!

My absolute favorite thing about Domino’s Pizza is how quickly they make their pies. The ovens seem to be heated perfectly so that my order is ready in less than 10 minutes and never tastes rushed. Plus, the staff are always friendly and willing to help me pick out the perfect combination from their menu.

#5 Roma Old Town Wood Fired Pizzeria

From the moment I walked in, I knew I had found something special. The warm atmosphere and brick oven made me feel like I was in a classic Italian pizzeria. But what really set it apart was the pizza – amazingly flavorful pies cooked with expert precision in their wood-fired oven.

The flavors of the Margherita pizza were like nothing I’d ever tasted before! The thick, chewy crust was perfectly crisp and charred on the edges, while the fresh tomatoes and mozzarella provided a delicious contrast of texture. To top it off, there’s just the right amount of herbs to bring out all the flavors.

I also tried their Four Seasons Pizza, which had an incredible combination of sweet and savory that truly made it unique. The layers of roasted red peppers, mushrooms, spinach and olives created a complex yet balanced flavor profile.

Overall, Roma Old Town Wood Fired Pizzeria is definitely one of my favorite pizza places in Winchester VA! They serve up some seriously delicious pies that will make you come back for more. Plus they use local ingredients whenever possible which is always great!

#6 Benny Meleto’s

For starters, their dough is made from scratch each day, so it has that homemade taste that can’t be beat. The combination of the fresh dough with their special recipe tomato sauce and high-quality cheese blend make Benny Meleto’s pizza a cut above the rest.

The toppings at Benny Meleto’s are also in a league of their own. From mushrooms to olives, everything is incredibly fresh and flavorful. They also have an impressive selection of gourmet toppings, which really makes this place stand out.

I also love how generous they are with the toppings – when you get a pizza here, you know that it will be loaded up with all your favorite ingredients!

All in all, if you’re looking for some seriously good pizza in Winchester VA, Benny Meleto’s definitely shouldn’t be passed up. It’s the perfect spot for family dinners or just grabbing a quick slice on the go – no matter what you’re in the mood for, you won’t be disappointed here!

#7 Claudio’s Pizzeria

The first thing that grabbed me about Claudio’s was the inviting atmosphere. The decor is modern, yet homey, and the staff are welcoming and quick to help. Plus, they use fresh ingredients in their pizza – nothing frozen here!

I had the pleasure of trying their “Pizza Alla Principessa” – a white sauce pizza with provolone cheese and artichoke hearts. It was absolutely divine. The cheese was perfectly melted, the toppings were balanced to perfection, and the subtle hint of garlic made it extra delicious.

To top it off, Claudio’s Pizzeria has incredibly fast service. We got our pizza in no time flat! And even though Claudio’s Pizzeria won’t break your wallet (prices range from medium to large) they certainly don’t skimp on quality.

In conclusion, I can confidently say that if you’re looking for some of the best pizza in Winchester VA then look no further than Claudio’s Pizzeria!

#8 Roma On the Go

I first heard about Roma On the Go after doing a bit of research into pizza places in this area, and the reviews were so good that I had to give it a try. Needless to say, I wasn’t disappointed!

I was especially impressed by how fresh and delicious their pizzas were. The crust was perfectly seasoned and held up well against the toppings they had available. The cheese was creamy and flavorful, and the sauce had just the right amount of tang. Even the toppings were cooked perfectly – not too greasy or overdone. Put simply, this pizza blew me out of the water.

The atmosphere at Roma On the Go was also fantastic. It was casual yet inviting, with friendly staff who greeted you as soon as you walked in the door. Plus, they offered delivery service which made it even easier to get my favorite pie when I wasn’t able to stop by for lunch or dinner.

Overall, I’m thrilled to have found Roma On the Go and I definitely recommend it if you’re looking for some of the best pizza in Winchester VA!

#9 Café del Sol

When I first arrived, I was quite skeptical. The building looked like an average diner, and the menu didn’t seem very inviting. However, after taking one bite of the Margherita pizza, my doubts were gone! I was immediately struck by how light and fluffy the crust was. And then there was the flavor! It was a perfect blend of savory and sweet, with just enough herbs to give it that extra kick.

The toppings were also top-notch. Fresh tomatoes and mozzarella rounded out each slice nicely, and the combination of caramelized onions and mushrooms had me coming back for more!

I can confidently say that Café del Sol has some of the best pizza in Winchester VA, and any pizza lover should definitely add this spot to their must-visit list!

#10 Umberto’s Pizza & Pasta

The first thing that stood out to me was the atmosphere in the restaurant. From the rustic brick walls to the old-world Italian style décor, it felt like I was truly in a pizzeria somewhere in Italy.

The staff was super friendly and welcoming, which is always a plus! They seemed knowledgeable about their menu and were more than happy to recommend their favorites.

I opted for their signature pepperoni pizza and boy was it good! The crust had just the right amount of crunch, while still being soft and chewy inside. The pepperoni was flavorful and bountiful as well!

I also sampled some of their homemade pasta dishes, which were all delicious. Their sauce was rich and flavorful with chunks of vegetables mixed in. For dessert, I tried their deep-dish apple pie. It tasted fresh from the oven with real apples in every bite!

Overall, I cannot speak highly enough about Umberto’s Pizza & Pasta! From its atmosphere to its great food, it is definitely one of the best pizza restaurants around Winchester VA.

#11 Ledo Pizza

The first thing I noticed when I entered the restaurant was how nice of a tourist spot it was. It had a cool vibe and the staff was very welcoming.

I was also happy to see that they offer alcoholic beverages and a kid’s menu in addition to their amazing pizza. And for all my vegetarian friends, there were some great vegetarian options, too!

The biggest downside for me is that, unlike most pizza places I’ve been to, they don’t offer delivery service – so if you’re looking for Ledo Pizza delivery you’ll have to look elsewhere.

I can honestly say that once you get your hands on one of Ledo’s pizzas though, you won’t be disappointed! The crust is crispy yet chewy, while the toppings are always fresh and flavourful. Plus they have several delicious desserts available that pair perfectly with their gourmet pies.

If you’re looking for the best pizza in Winchester VA then I highly recommend visiting Ledo Pizza. You won’t be disappointed!

#12 Anthony’s Pizza

I can say with utmost confidence that I have never tasted a pizza like this before. The crust was just perfect – crispy and light, but still thick enough to be enjoyable. The sauce was incredibly flavorful and the toppings were so fresh and delicious.

The staff was incredibly welcoming, too. They are warm and friendly, and really went out of their way to make sure my experience was enjoyable.

Overall, my experience at Anthony’s Pizza was nothing short of remarkable. It definitely earned its title as the best pizza in Winchester VA! If you’re ever in town, do yourself a favor and try it out – you won’t be disappointed!
