- Does not accept reservations
Now, let me start by saying that as a food critic, I’ve encountered my fair share of pizza joints that claim to have the best deep dish. But let me tell you, Jet’s has truly mastered the art of the deep dish pie.
Their crust is a triumph of thick, buttery goodness that is so satisfying, you’ll forget all about counting carbs. And the cheese? Oh, the cheese! It’s gooey, stretchy, and a cheese lover’s dream. I practically needed a napkin bib to catch the drool cascading down my chin.
Now, one of the perks of Jet’s is that they have some vegetarian options, which is great for those herbivore friends of ours. Plus, they offer dessert! I mean, who doesn’t want to end a pizza feast with a sweet treat? Their cinnamon sticks are like tiny bites of sugary heaven.
However, I must say, one downside is that Jet’s does not accept reservations. So, if you’re planning a big gathering or a special occasion, you might have to deal with a bit of a wait. But hey, good things come to those who wait, right?

Best Thin Crust Pizza – Impellizzeri’s Pizza
- Great place to watch sports

- Serves alcohol (and hard liquor!)
- Nice tourist spot
Walking into the restaurant, I was immediately hit with the intoxicating smell of freshly baked dough and melty cheese. The decor screamed Italian trattoria, with red and white checked tablecloths and photos of the Italian countryside adorning the walls. I half expected to see a mustachioed Italian nonna in the corner, passionately flinging dough into the air.
The menu boasted an impressive variety of toppings, from the classic pepperoni to more adventurous options like goat cheese and arugula. Being a true pizza connoisseur, I decided to go all out and order the deluxe – a mountain of pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms, onions, and green peppers, all drenched in gooey mozzarella.
When the pizza finally arrived at my table, I was at a loss for words. Not only was the crust thin and crispy, it was so light and airy that it practically floated off the plate. Each bite was a harmonious melody of flavors, with the tanginess of the tomato sauce blending perfectly with the savory toppings. I couldn’t help but do a little happy dance in my seat.
Now, I’ve had my fair share of pizza, but the pizza at Impellizzeri’s is on a whole other level. For those seeking the pinnacle of thin crust pizza perfection in Louisville, this is the place to be.
