I’ve been all over the world, tasting some of the most delicious pizza on the planet. This time around, I thought I’d stop in Springfield to get a taste of their local offerings.

After eating my way through twelve different places in the area, I’m happy to say that Springfield has a lot to offer when it comes to pizza. From classic pepperoni pies to bold and inventive gourmet recipes, there’s something here for everyone!

#1 Catanzaro’s Pizza & Subs

As soon as I entered the restaurant, I was greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere. The staff were courteous and friendly, and their knowledge about pizza made them even more impressive.

The pizza itself has a unique blend of flavors that can only be experienced at Catanzaro’s Pizza & Subs. The crust is perfectly crisp on the bottom yet chewy in the middle. The sauce was so flavorful, it made my mouth water! And don’t get me started on the toppings – they really brought out all the flavors of the pizza.

To top it all off – no pun intended – they had an incredible selection of subs and stromboli that are just as delicious as their pizzas!

Overall, I give Catanzaro’s Pizza & Subs five stars for their amazing food, great prices and friendly service. If you’re ever in Springfield OH looking for some great pizza, you have to try Catanzaro’s Pizza & Subs – you won’t regret it!

#2 The Buckeye Barn

I knew I’d found a great place as soon as I walked in. Not only do they have the typical pizza joint atmosphere, but they also have a sports bar vibe which made it great for watching the game!

And the food…Ahhh, that’s where my heart really explodes with love. Their pizzas are cooked to perfection, and their toppings are always fresh and flavorful. And unlike some of the other pizza places around town, The Buckeye Barn offers desserts like tiramisu and cannoli that send you into sweet bliss.

The kid’s menu was also a definite plus for me! It’s so hard to find restaurants that can please both adults and children alike, but The Buckeye Barn did just that – my little ones were thrilled with their meal options! And speaking of adults – yes, they serve alcohol too. So it was easy to put together a nice dinner out with drinks while catching up with friends.

The one downside is – no delivery. But once you’ve had their pizza, you’ll understand why it’s worth it to make the drive in order to get it!

All in all, The Buckeye Barn is definitely one of the best pizza places in Springfield OH – don’t miss out on this amazing experience!

#3 Short Stop

I have to admit, I was a bit skeptical when I first heard about this place. When I arrived at Short Stop and saw the old building and the kitschy decor, I thought, “This isn’t going to be good”. But boy, was I wrong!

The crust on the pizza is just perfect — it’s crispy and flavorful, yet still light enough so that you don’t feel heavy after eating it. The sauce is really tasty too; they use fresh tomatoes to give it a great flavor. And the cheese — holy cow! It’s like eating little bites of heaven.

And let me tell you about the toppings. They’re all fresh and delicious, including some unusual ingredients like roasted eggplant and artichokes which I’ve never had on pizza before! The combinations of flavors are unique and amazing.

#4 Keg ‘n’ Cork Beverage Center

The atmosphere is unlike any other pizza joint I’ve visited. As soon as you walk in, you’re hit with the smell of fresh cheddar cheese and marinara sauce. The walls are covered with a collage of pop culture memorabilia which adds to the fun vibe.

The menu boasts a wide selection of specialty pizzas. Whether you’re looking for classic combinations like pepperoni and mushrooms or something unique like their Italian Stallion, you simply can’t go wrong!

I was particularly blown away by the quality of their thin crust. It’s made from scratch daily and is neither too thick nor too thin. And even without a ton of toppings, it still packs an incredible amount of flavor!

And if there’s one thing that really sets Keg ‘n’ Cork Beverage Center apart from other pizza places, it’s their service. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive – always happy to help out with ordering or answer questions about the menu items.

All in all, I’m convinced that Keg ‘n’ Cork Beverage Center serves up some of the best pizza in Springfield OH! Whether you’re looking for a casual meal or a night out on the town, I highly recommend this restaurant!

#5 Mikey’s Pizza

The decor at Mikey’s Pizza is nothing too special, but the atmosphere more than makes up for it. I walked in to a bustling dining room with lively customers talking and laughing over slices of delicious pizza. The pizza itself was cooked to perfection and had a perfect combination of flavors. Their specialty pizzas were especially noteworthy- the Supreme Pizza was my favorite- it was loaded with all my favorite ingredients, including pepperoni, mushrooms, sausage, and tomatoes.

The service at Mikey’s Pizza was top-notch. Our waitress was friendly and helpful, explaining all their different menu items in detail and making sure our drinks were kept full throughout the meal.

All in all, I’d easily recommend Mikey’s Pizza to anyone looking for the best pizza in Springfield OH! If you’re ever in town, make sure you give this place a try- you won’t be disappointed!

#6 The Hickory Inn

The atmosphere of The Hickory Inn is great – the decor is classic and charming, with a rustic feel that reminded me of my favorite pizzerias in Italy. The wait staff were friendly and accommodating, making sure all our orders were right, even when we made special requests.

But the best part was definitely the pizza! The Hickory Inn serves up some amazing pies – they use high-quality ingredients and their cooking technique is spot on! The crust was perfectly cooked – crunchy on the outside and soft inside – and was loaded with fresh vegetables and flavorful cheese.

I would highly recommend The Hickory Inn to anyone looking for the best pizza in Springfield OH. They take pride in their craft and it shows – their delicious pizzas will have you coming back for more!

When I walked in, I was immediately greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere. The staff was friendly and the décor was cozy. Everything seemed to be very well cared for, setting the tone for my visit.

After browsing the options, I opted for their signature dish – The Big Cheese Pizza. It did not disappoint! It was cooked perfectly with just the right amount of cheese, sauce and toppings to please every tastebud!

The service was great too – my pizza arrived quickly and the staff were always there with a smile when I needed assistance or had any questions.

I can confidently say Crust & Company’s pizza is some of the best in Springfield OH! With its great atmosphere, friendly service and delicious pizza, it’s well worth a visit if you’re ever in town looking for a tasty meal. You won’t be disappointed!

#8 Rapid Fired Pizza

The atmosphere of the place is great – it’s a cozy and inviting environment that made me immediately feel welcome. Plus, they have TVs playing sports which always brings an added bonus to the experience.

The pizza selection was impressive as well! They offer tons of different topping options that are sure to please even the pickiest eaters. I opted for a classic pepperoni and sausage combination and it exceeded my expectations. The crust was cooked to perfection, the cheese melted perfectly, and the toppings were fresh and flavorful.

My only complaint was that my meal took quite a while – but it was worth the wait! I guess if you want great pizza, you have to be patient!

All in all, Rapid Fired Pizza is without a doubt one of the best pies I’ve experienced in Springfield OH. If you’re ever in town looking for some delicious pizza, this should definitely be your first stop!

I arrived at the restaurant and was warmly welcomed by the gracious staff. I could already smell the pizza baking in their custom-made ovens right away! The atmosphere is inviting, making it the perfect place to relax with friends or family.

The pizza at Cassano’s Pizza King is simply exquisite! I’ve tried pizzas from all over, but none compare to this one. They’ve mastered the art of dough-making and it shows in every bite; their crunchy crust has a nice nutty flavor that lingers on my taste buds. Then you have the generous amount of cheese and sauce to top it off – truly divine! The toppings are always fresh and plentiful; you get the best of both worlds here with classic toppings like pepperoni, onions, mushrooms, peppers, etc., as well as more adventurous options like pineapple and BBQ chicken.

To top it off (no pun intended!), there’s something special about Cassano’s Pizza King that makes dining here an unforgettable experience. Whether you’re after a cozy dinner out or a chance to show your culinary savvy while pleasing your guests’ palates, Cassano’s has something for everyone. I can confidently say that they make some of the best pizza in Springfield OH – an absolute must-try!

#10 Station1

The decor of Station1 is cozy, with a funky brick wall and plenty of comfortable seating. The service at Station1 was top-notch. Every employee was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu.

As for the pizza itself, I had to pinch myself to make sure that I wasn’t dreaming! The crust was perfect – soft, chewy and flavorful – and the variety of toppings gave me so many delicious options to choose from. The pepperoni pizza was especially great, with just the right amount of zesty flavor.

One thing that really stands out about Station1 is their commitment to quality ingredients. They source their ingredients locally whenever possible, and it really shows in their unique blend of flavors.

Overall, my experience at Station1 was delightful! It’s no wonder why it’s established itself as the best pizza in Springfield OH. I’ll definitely be coming back for more!

#11 Cassano’s Pizza King

I was amazed at how flavorful the pizza was, especially considering how far away I was from some of my favorite pizza places abroad. The crust was perfectly crispy and the cheese melted in my mouth. The sauce had a sweetness that you rarely find in American pizzas, and I really enjoyed it.

The toppings were fresh and plentiful – no skimping here! I ordered a pepperoni and mushroom slice, and both were overflowing with flavor. They even offered unique toppings like eggplant that you don’t find too often.

My experience wasn’t just about the food though – the staff at Cassano’s made me feel like family during my visit. Everyone there was friendly and welcoming, which really added to the dining experience.

I’ve sampled pizzas in Naples, Rome and Palermo, but nothing compares to the authentic taste of a Cassano’s Pizza! I had the pleasure of tasting their famous All-Meat Specialty Pizza and it was absolutely delicious. The generous portion of pepperoni, sausage, ham and bacon accented perfectly by their unique blend of cheeses created an unforgettable experience.

Their crust is the perfect mix between thick and thin – not too crispy or too doughy – making it a great complement to their yummy toppings! The atmosphere at Cassano’s definitely adds to the overall experience. The restaurant has a casual yet cozy vibe that helps create a warm and inviting atmosphere.
