I know from experience that, when it comes to pizza, it’s not just about the toppings, but also the crust and flavor. After all, what good is a beautiful-looking pizza if the crust is too soggy or flavorless? That’s why I’ve put together my list of the best pizza places in West Haven CT.

I’ve sampled from 12 different pizza spots in this area and have rated each one on a scale from 1-10. Ultimately, I’m aiming to find out who has the best – and worst – pizza around. So without further ado let’s get started!

#1 Zuppardi’s Apizza

The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and they even offer alcoholic beverages. As a foodie, I was even more excited to learn that they offer a few vegetarian options in addition to all the classic dishes. Dessert options are also available – a perfect way to conclude an evening of indulgence!

The only downside I can think of is that there’s no delivery option. But honestly, it’s so worth it to visit Zuppardi’s Apizza in person. From the friendly service to the delicious food, you’ll be glad you did! For anyone looking for the best pizza in West Haven CT, this spot should definitely be at the top of your list!

#2 West Haven Pizza and Deli

I was skeptical at first, expecting to be disappointed by yet another greasy slice lacking in flavor and quality ingredients. But no, my expectations were completely blown away!

The dough was wonderfully light and crispy, just the way I like it. The sauce had a beautiful tangy flavor that paired perfectly with the mozzarella cheese and generous topping selection. And the combinations available on their menu truly made it hard to choose just one!

The staff were also the friendliest around, with smiles that could light up a room. They were very knowledgeable of what they offered, giving me tips and tricks for how to make my pizza experience even better.

All in all, this restaurant gets 5 stars from me! If you’re ever in West Haven CT and want some of the best pizza around, West Haven Pizza and Deli is where you need to go.

#3 Only the Best Pizza Restaurant

The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, with a quaint Italian flair that made me feel right at home. The staff were friendly and attentive, eager to impart their knowledge of the delicious pies on offer.

The pizza itself was absolutely superb! The crust was thin yet crisp and full of delicious flavor. The sauce was fresh, garlicky and incredibly tasty. The mozzarella melted like butter and the toppings were generous and varied – perfect for a picky eater like myself!

I also had the chance to try some delicious appetizers – the chicken wings were crispy perfection, while the garlic knots could easily have been mistaken for soft pillows of doughy goodness.

All in all, Only the Best Pizza Restaurant deserves its name – it really did live up to its reputation as having some of the best pizza in West Haven CT! I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this place to anyone looking for good food in a great atmosphere – you won’t be disappointed!

#4 Mike’s Apizza & Restaurant

I started with the garlic bread, which was an excellent start to my experience. The buttery and garlicky bun was pleasantly crunchy and very flavorful.

Next, it was time for the pizza. Wow! Mike’s Apizza & Restaurant definitely knows how to make a delicious pie! Every slice I tried was incredibly flavourful and simply melted in my mouth. The crust had a perfect balance of chewiness and crunchiness that kept me coming back for more.

The service at Mike’s Apizza & Restaurant was great too. My server was very friendly and attentive, ensuring that I had a great experience overall.

Overall, if you’re looking for the best pizza in West Haven CT, then you can’t go wrong with Mike’s Apizza & Restaurant. Highly recommended!

#5 Casa Bianca Pizza West Haven

I was truly in awe of the level of craftsmanship that went into their slices. From the perfectly cooked crust to the delightful layers of cheese and flavorful toppings, it was a real treat. Plus, they take great pride in using fresh, locally sourced ingredients.

The ambiance at Casa Bianca Pizza West Haven is also outstanding. The staff is warm and friendly, the seating is comfortable, and there’s even a flat-screen TV for customers to enjoy!

But what really makes this place stand out are their signature sauces: a zesty marinara and creamy Alfredo sauce. I tried them both on my pizza, and I must say they were very tasty!

If you’re looking for the best pizza in West Haven CT then look no further than Casa Bianca Pizza West Haven. I can’t recommend this establishment enough!

#6 Lorenzo’s Ristorante Italiano

From the moment I walked into Lorenzo’s, I could tell this was a special place. The cozy atmosphere and welcoming staff immediately made me feel at home. And the pizza? Well, let’s just say I understand why they call it Lorenzo’s – it’s simply divine!

The toppings alone could knock your socks off – each bite bursting with flavor and texture. The dough is light, perfectly cooked, and just the right amount of crispness. Topped with generous amounts of cheese, an array of fresh vegetables and herbs (depending on what you order), and some of the juiciest Italian sausages around…it really doesn’t get any better than this.

My personal favorite was the Margherita pizza – top-notch! Every time I took a bite, it felt like my taste buds were having their own party! It truly is some of the best pizza in West Haven CT.

If you’re ever in the area, do yourself a favor and stop by Lorenzo’s Ristorante Italiano for an unforgettable pizza experience!

#7 Falafel House

I was pleasantly surprised to find such amazing pizza in West Haven. From the doughy crust and flavorful sauce, to the fresh toppings and cheese, Falafel House had all the components of a great pizza.

The service at Falafel House was some of the friendliest I’ve ever encountered; they made sure my food was cooked to perfection every time. Plus, they have a variety of other Middle Eastern dishes that were delicious as well!

Overall, if you’re looking for some of the best pizza around, I highly recommend Falafel House! With its top-notch ingredients, friendly staff, and welcoming atmosphere – it’s one of my favorite pizza places yet!

#8 Ernie’s Pizzeria

From the moment I walked through the door, I knew I was in for a treat. The aromas that filled the air were enough to make my mouth water and I could hardly contain my excitement.

I decided to go with two of my favorites: a white pizza topped with fresh mozzarella and arugula, and a classic pepperoni pizza. Both pizzas had an incredibly delicious, crisp crust which was cooked to perfection — not too crunchy, but still golden brown on the bottom. The toppings were full of flavor and truly brought each pizza to life!

The atmosphere at Ernie’s Pizzeria is truly unique. As soon as you step inside, you’re met by friendly staff who are always happy to help. The decor is warm and inviting, making it an ideal spot for friends to gather over great food and conversation. And don’t even get me started on the selection of craft beers they offer!

All in all, I would highly recommend Ernie’s Pizzeria if you’re looking for some of the best pizza in West Haven CT. It’s got everything you could want in a pizzeria: great food, cozy atmosphere, and friendly service — what more could you ask for?

#9 Michaelangelo Pizza & Subs

To start, the atmosphere of Michaelangelo’s is unbeatable. The bright yellow walls and inviting Mediterranean vibe make you feel like you’re in an old-school Italian trattoria.

The pizza menu is the real star of this place, though. They have an incredible selection of classic pies, as well as some delicious specialty pizzas. My favorite was the Vendetta– a delicious mix of housemade San Marzano sauce, fennel sausage, roasted garlic, and Italian peppers that had me drooling after every bite.

The subs are also fantastic! Their Italian sub was full of flavor and perfectly toasted– it was one of the best I’ve ever had!

When it comes down to it, Michaelangelo Pizza & Subs really deserves its title as the best pizza in West Haven CT. Everything here is fresh and delicious– definitely worth a visit if you’re in town!

#10 Salty Tomato Pizzeria

Their dough is light and crispy, the sauce is well seasoned, and the toppings are fresh and plentiful. I especially enjoyed the combination of their house-made garlic oil with crushed tomatoes – it really brought out a unique flavor in each slice!

The service was stellar, with all staff members eager to ensure that my experience was as enjoyable as possible. From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed by both employees and customers alike. This only made my experience at Salty Tomato Pizzeria more enjoyable!

The atmosphere in the restaurant is amazing. The red-brick walls and low lighting give it an old-school pizzeria feel. Plus, they’ve got a great jukebox selection which always encourages customers to sing along.

Overall, I can confidently say that Salty Tomato Pizzeria is one of the best pizza places in West Haven CT – if not THE best. Make sure you check them out for yourself before making your own judgment!

#11 Cappetta’s Italian Imports and Pizza

I was utterly amazed at the quality of pizza here. The dough was light and fluffy, not too thick or thin. The sauce had just the right amount of sweet and savory, with herbs that blended perfectly together. Topping-wise, they didn’t skimp – every bite packed a flavorful punch.

But what really made Cappetta’s stand out from other West Haven pizzerias is the atmosphere. The interior of the restaurant looks like it has been transported straight from an Italian piazza – complete with checkered tablecloths and fresh flowers in vases on each table. The servers were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable about their menu items too!

#12 Da Legna at Nolo

The thin, hand-tossed crust is the perfect combination of crisp and chewy – it’s perfectly done every time. The generous portions of sauce and toppings really adds to the flavor – you can truly taste the quality ingredients they use. The cheese is never greasy or oversaturated – it has a great texture and flavor.

Aside from the pizza, what makes this place unique is their commitment to service – each order is individually crafted with care and attention. They always remember my preference for extra pepperoni, and serve up a delicious deep-dish pie just for me!

But even better than all of that is their unbeatable prices – you get a lot of bang for your buck here. This certainly isn’t “fast food” pizza; it’s truly gourmet quality at its best! If you’re looking for some of the best pizza in West Haven CT, Da Legna at Nolo won’t disappoint.
