The ambiance of Coals Bayside was great too. The walls are adorned with local art and there’s plenty of comfortable seating for large groups or small ones alike. Plus they have TVs playing sports games so you can enjoy your meal while staying up to date on your favorite teams!

My first impression as I walked into Slab was one of delight. The restaurant is cozy, welcoming and exudes an undeniable energy that only comes from a true passion for pizza.
The menu here is surprisingly diverse, so it took me a while to make my decision. I finally settled on the classic Margherita pizza and I’m pleased to report that it lived up to all expectations. The crust was light and lightly charred with just the right balance of cheese, tomato sauce and fresh basil – definitely a winner in my book!
But the best part of dining at Slab has got to be their beautiful brick ovens. Located in the center of the restaurant these ovens are responsible for creating some absolutely delicious pizzas that can’t be found anywhere else in Portland ME.

The aromas of the wood-fired ovens instantly made me feel like I had arrived at a true pizza paradise. The mouthwatering smell of tomatoes, oregano and garlic combined with the sound of crackling wood was almost enough to convince me that I was in Italy.
The menu has an impressively wide variety of pizzas to choose from, so it took me quite some time to decide which one to get. But finally, I decided on the Sausage & Pepperoni and it didn’t disappoint – each bite was oozing with melted cheese and the crust was just the right combination of thin and chewy.
The atmosphere is relaxed yet lively and all the staff are extremely friendly. Everyone seems genuinely excited about serving up excellent quality food, which you can tell they take great pride in preparing.

I had their signature deep dish – and it was luxurious! The combination of the crisp crust, flavorful tomato sauce and gooey cheese was just divine.
The atmosphere at OTTO added to the experience. A big open kitchen and pizza oven further added to the flavor. I loved watching the chefs toss dough high into the air before baking it.
The staff here was also a blast to talk with. Everyone from the hostess to the servers were super friendly and seemed genuinely interested in making sure I had a great time.
Overall, if you’re looking for an amazing pizza experience in Portland ME, then OTTO is definitely worth checking out! If you can’t make it there, though, I’d settle for their frozen pies!

I stopped into OTTO for a quick bite, and I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the pizza. The crust was crispy and flavorful, the sauces were plentiful and flavorful, and the toppings were fresh. What’s more, they offer alcoholic beverages to wash it down!
As a vegetarian, I was also relieved to find some options that fit my lifestyle. Oh, and if you save room for dessert—try their mini cannoli!

I’m not sure what it is exactly that makes this pizza special, but there is something magical about it. From the freshly made dough and the perfect blend of flavorful sauces, to the delicious toppings, every bite was an amazing experience.
The staff were also friendly and accommodating, which is always a plus. One thing I found particularly enjoyable was the casual atmosphere of Lazzari. It’s a great spot where you can relax in comfort while enjoying your meal.
All in all, I must say that my experience at Lazzari was one of the best pizza experiences I’ve ever had. When I arrived at Pizza Villa, I was impressed with the charming atmosphere. The restaurant is located in a tourist spot and has outdoor seating, making it a great place to while away an evening with friends. And what’s more, they serve alcohol – including hard liquor!
The pizza itself was simply delicious. All of the pies were cooked to perfection with the perfect amount of cheese and toppings. My favorite was their Margherita pizza – it’s light and flavorful and really hit the spot.
My only complaint about Pizza Villa is that they don’t offer delivery service. But then again, half the fun of visiting this restaurant is being there in person to enjoy the atmosphere – so it’s all good!

The first thing I noticed was the mouth-watering aroma of freshly made pizza. I knew that I was in for a treat!

The cheese was melted to perfection, with loads of melted mozzarella providing an amazing base for each bite. And when it came to toppings, there was no shortage – they were piled high and full of flavor.
I also have to praise Pizzaiolo’s friendly staff. They always make sure you feel welcome and they go out of their way to accommodate any special requests or modifications you might have to your order.

My visit to Leonardo’s was certainly memorable. From the moment I walked in, I was met with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The staff were friendly and helpful, making sure that I had the best experience possible.
I started by ordering their signature, “Cheese-Lover’s Dream” pizza. As soon as it arrived at my table, I knew that it was going to be special. The sauce was wonderfully flavorful, the crust was perfectly baked and just chewy enough to keep me coming back for more. The friendly staff made us feel welcome from the start, even though I arrived with a rather pompous attitude. From the moment I stepped through the door, it was clear that Anthony’s Italian Kitchen had something special up their sleeve.
The pizza was hands-down one of the best I’ve ever tasted! The crust was light and fluffy, yet still had enough flavor to stand out. The sauce was tangy and flavorful – just enough to really bring out all of the toppings. And don’t even get me started on the cheese – it was gooey and melted in just the right way to pull everything together in a delicious bite.
To top it off, we were treated to an extra-large side of garlic knots! They were crispy on the outside and warm and pillowy on the inside – clearly a sign that these chefs know what they’re doing when it comes to Italian food.
