I’ve been to over 12 places in the area—from hole-in-the-wall joints to fancy downtown eateries—and I’m finally ready to report my findings on what’s the best pizza in town.

But be warned: this is a lighthearted (but serious) mission, and some may find themselves disagreeing with my choices. However, I’m confident that I’ve tasted enough of Reading PA’s pizzas to make an informed decision about which one reigns supreme!

#1 Giavonni’s Pizza

What really sets them apart from the crowd is their use of fresh ingredients and generous portions. The pizza crust was light and crispy, yet perfectly chewy. And the sauce had some great herbs and spices – it was just delicious! Even the cheese was well-crafted, a perfect blend that left no greasy after-taste.

The toppings were top-notch as well. Everything from mushrooms to pepperoni were cooked just right and added to the flavor of each slice I had. Its hard to believe this place isn’t more popular!

The atmosphere at Giavonni’s Pizza is also on point. It is welcoming and inviting with warm colors and decorations that will make you feel like you are right in Italy. It’s the perfect spot for a group gathering or a romantic dinner for two.

If I have one complaint it would be that they don’t deliver. But trust me when I say its worth taking a trip to Giavonni’s Pizza for their best pizza in Reading PA! You won’t regret it – it’s one of my all-time favorite pizzas spots!

#2 Pizza Italia

I had the pleasure of visiting Pizza Italia recently and I must say, I was truly impressed. The restaurant itself is sleek and modern, yet still manages to maintain a cozy feel. But it was the pizza that really knocked my socks off!

The crust was perfectly thin and crispy, with just the right amount of chewiness. It was definitely some of the best crust I have ever tasted. Toppings were generous and flavorful – no skimping here! From the classic pepperoni to the more adventurous options such as feta and olives, every topping combination was delicious.

The staff at Pizza Italia were also very friendly and accommodating. They went out of their way to make sure my visit was enjoyable, which made eating my meal even more special. On top of all this, the prices were very reasonable for such high-quality pizza.

#3 Ninos pizza & Italian restaurant

My first impression of the restaurant was that it had a great atmosphere, with music playing and special lighting. I was instantly charmed by the decor and friendly staff, who made me feel right at home.

Boy, was I in for a treat when it came time to try their pizza. The crust was cooked to perfection – light and crispy at the same time. The cheese was flavorful and melted perfectly into each slice. And their homemade sauces were simply mouthwatering!

I also sampled some of their other Italian dishes, which were equally delicious. Their lasagna is especially noteworthy – very creamy and flavorful. Nothing short of amazing!

Overall, Ninos pizza & Italian Restaurant truly lived up to its reputation as one of the best pizzerias in Reading PA. If you want an amazing pizza experience that you won’t forget anytime soon, I highly recommend it!

#4 DMA Pizza

I was overwhelmed by the sheer variety of toppings they offer. From buffalo chicken to spinach and feta, they’ve got something for everyone. Not to mention their signature dishes like Grandma’s Tomato Basil Pizza and the Philly Cheese Steak Pizza were simply divine!

The pizzas are fresh and delicious – the crust is cooked to perfection, while still remaining light and fluffy. The cheese is gooey and melty in all the right places, and the flavors of each topping really shine through.

The atmosphere inside DMA Pizza is friendly and welcoming – you’ll feel like family from the moment you step in! The staff are friendly and helpful, always willing to help you find your favorite pizza or suggest a new combination for you to try out.

To top it off, DMA Pizza always has fantastic specials running that make it really easy for everyone to get a great deal on their pizza dinner.

It’s clear why DMA Pizza is considered one of the best pizza places in Reading PA – I can’t think of anywhere else I’d rather go when I’m in need of an amazing slice (or three)!

#5 Nonno Alby’s Brick-oven Pizza

Let me start by saying that the atmosphere at Nonno Alby’s Brick-oven Pizza is exquisite. Not only are the walls adorned with classic Italian decor, but also they were recently refurbished to give the space an even more inviting feel.

The pizza itself? Out of this world! It’s cooked in a brick oven to achieve that perfect combination of crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside crust. On top, you can find all manner of fresh ingredients—from pepperoni to mushrooms to peppers and more. Everything is perfectly balanced, so each bite tastes like a little slice of Italian heaven!

To top it off, service at Nonno Alby’s Brick-oven Pizza was delightful. Our waiter was knowledgeable about the menu and recommended dishes for us that fit our tastes perfectly. Plus, he made sure we had refills on drinks when needed and answered all questions we had without fail.

In conclusion, if you want some of the best pizza in Reading PA, then look no further than Nonno Alby’s Brick-oven Pizza! The food, atmosphere and service are unbeatable!

#6 Mimmo’s Italian Restaurant & Pizzeria

The crust is perfectly cooked, with a nice crisp on the outside and a soft, chewy texture on the inside. The perfect ratio of sauce to cheese gave this pizza an amazing flavor profile – not too cheesy, not too saucy. Plus, they use high-quality ingredients like fresh herbs and spices that enhance their classic recipes.

The atmosphere at Mimmo’s is great for anyone looking for a casual dining experience. The tables are cozy and inviting and the staff are friendly and attentive. On top of that, their prices are very reasonable considering the quality of their food!

All in all, I’d say that if you’re looking for the best pizza in Reading PA, look no further than Mimmo’s Italian Restaurant & Pizzeria! You won’t be disappointed!

#7 Nino & Son’s

I chose The ‘Old-Fashioned’ Pie—a classic combination of pepperoni, mushrooms, and peppers. I was delighted to find that the individual ingredients tasted fresher and more flavorful than any pizza I had tried before.

The crust was cooked perfectly, not too crunchy but still providing a satisfying crunch with every bite. The tomato sauce was sweet and tangy without being overpowering or too salty. Each topping left me wanting more.

Service wise, Nino & Son’s has it down. My order was ready in under 10 minutes and the staff members were friendly and attentive throughout my visit.

#8 Fat Boyz

I’ve been everywhere from Italy to New York, but I must say, I was thoroughly impressed with the pizza at Fat Boyz. From the moment you walk in, you can smell the delicious aromas of fresh pizza and garlic filling the air. The ambiance is inviting and comfortable – just like their pizza that’s perfectly cooked with a perfectly crunchy crust.

The toppings are always fresh and flavorful and they offer more than just your typical pepperoni or cheese pizzas – chorizo, spinach, onions – you name it! Even the pickiest of eaters will be able to find something to satisfy them here.

To top it all off, their customer service is top-notch. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable about the food they serve and always willing to answer questions about their menu or make recommendations on what kind of pizza would be best for each individual customer.

#9 Carlos Pizzeria Restaurant

I recently visited the restaurant and was immediately impressed. Not only did the atmosphere feel cozy and inviting, but the menu had a great selection of pizzas and other Italian dishes.

The staff were also extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the menu items, which made for a great experience.

Of course, I had to try some of their pizza. And let me tell you, it was amazing! The crust was perfectly thin and crispy, with just the right amount of seasoning. The cheese was gooey and flavorful, while the toppings were flavorful and fresh. All in all, it was one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had!

Overall, Carlos Pizzeria Restaurant is definitely worth checking out if you’re looking for an enjoyable pizza experience in Reading PA. I guarantee that you won’t be disappointed!

#10 Ray’s 1 Pizza

The restaurant itself is a cozy little place with a lot of character and ambiance. From the moment I stepped in, I was greeted with a warm welcome from the staff along with the smells of pizza coming from the kitchen.

The pizzas are incredible! Every dish I tried was delicious and just oozing with flavor. The crust on each of my pizzas were light and airy – not too thick or thin – making for an enjoyable experience overall.

What really impressed me was how fresh everything tasted. The vegetables were crisp and crunchy, the cheese had a nice tang to it, and even the meats were flavorful and juicy. The chef is obviously using quality ingredients to make something special every time!

I also appreciated that there was plenty of variety on their menu so that I could sample different dishes while there. There’s something for everyone – thin crusts, stuffed crusts, classic toppings, interesting combinations – you name it!

So if you’re looking for great pizza in Reading PA, Ray’s 1 Pizza is definitely your best bet. With excellent food, friendly service, and reasonable prices – they serve up some of the best pizza around!

#11 Russo’s Pizzeria & Italian Restaurant

The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, with the sounds of Italian music playing in the background. As soon as you walk in, the smells of freshly-baked pizza fill the air, making your mouth water!

I tried a variety of their pizzas and each slice was amazing. The cheese was gooey and melted in my mouth. The crust was thin but still had a nice chew to it. I also sampled a few of their specialty toppings like olives, artichokes, and pepperoni – they all added so much flavor!

I have been fortunate enough to try some great pizza around the world, but Russo’s Pizzeria & Italian Restaurant has definitely earned its place among the best pizza places I’ve ever visited. If you’re ever in Reading PA and looking for a delicious slice of pizza – look no further than Russo’s!

#12 Romano’s Chicago Style Pizza & Grill

The restaurant has a traditional Italian vibe, with red-checkered tablecloths and a brick oven right in the center. The overall atmosphere is welcoming and relaxing – just the kind of place you want to eat pizza in!

I decided to try a few different pies from their menu – and wow, was I pleasantly surprised! The crust was thin and perfectly cooked – it was crunchy on the outside, but soft in the inside. And then there’s the toppings – fresh ingredients that really brought out all of the flavors of the dish. From mushrooms to olives to artichoke hearts, each topping added something unique to my experience.

Perhaps the best part of eating at Romano’s was that I wasn’t rushed or rushed through my meal. I could take as much time as I wanted to savor every bite of their amazing pizza! And when it came time for dessert, they had some great options too, like tiramisu and cheesecake.
