I’ve tasted pizza in all corners of the world, and believe me, I know what makes a great slice. But I was pleasantly surprised to find so many great options when I visited Golden. From hole-in-the-wall joints to local favorites, I visited each one to compile this list of the best pizza places in Golden CO.

#1 Woody’s Wood Fired Pizza

I must admit, I was hesitant at first. I heard mixed reviews and wasn’t sure what to expect. But, after a single bite, it quickly became clear that I was wrong!

The pizza had a delicious wood-fired crispness on the outside and was soft and delicious on the inside. The flavor combinations were amazing as well – from the classic pepperoni to something a little more adventurous like the sweet potato pesto – every pizza had layers of complexity and delightful balance of flavors.

But what really put this place above the rest for me was their hospitality. From the moment we arrived until we left, everybody there made us feel like family. The staff was friendly, attentive, and totally devoted to making sure our experience was top notch. They even let me sample some unique recipes in development!

All in all, Woody’s Wood Fired Pizza is definitely worth checking out if you’re looking for some of the best pizza in Golden CO. You won’t be disappointed!

#2 Bono’s Italian Restaurant

The first thing that impressed me was the expertly crafted dough. It was just delicious – light and crispy, with a perfect amount of crunch. I could tell it had been made with love and care, which set the tone for my entire experience there.

To start with, they have a great selection of beer and wine to enjoy while you wait for your food. Whether you’re an adult looking to relax or a family with little ones that need some entertainment, Guido’s is the perfect spot.

I also appreciated their vegetarian options and kid’s menu. I’m always on the hunt for places that can accommodate everyone at the table, so it was nice to find one here too!

Unfortunately, they don’t offer delivery service which was a bit of a disappointment. But if you’re looking for a nice tourist spot in Golden CO where you can relax and grab some great pizza (or any other Italian dish!), then Guido’s Pizza Genesee is definitely the place to go.

#4 Mannie & Bo’s Pizzeria

First, upon entering the restaurant you are greeted like family. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. It’s like walking into your favorite aunt’s house.

The pizza itself is out of this world! They have a variety of options to choose from and it is all delicious! I recommend trying their signature pie with fresh mozzarella, tomatoes and basil. The crust is light and crispy. Perfectly balanced with just the right amount of cheese and sauces.

The prices are also quite reasonable for such great pizza. Even the drinks are well priced, including an impressive selection of craft beers on tap.

All in all Mannie & Bo’s Pizzeria offers some of the best pizza in Golden CO! If you’re ever in town, stop by or get it delivered – you won’t be disappointed!

The atmosphere is definitely something special. The space is cozy and the walls are adorned with classic concert posters from the 70s. It feels like you’ve been transported back in time, which is perfect for pizza lovers who want to experience a retro vibe.

The pizza itself was fantastic. The crust was thin and perfectly consistent with a crunchy exterior and light, fluffy interior that melted in my mouth too quickly for me to savor it properly! The toppings were fresh and flavorful. The combination of gooey cheese, spicy sausage, and tangy sauce created a symphony of flavors that I can easily say rivals the pizza I’ve enjoyed on my travels around the world.

Finally, nothing tops off great pizza like great service. The waitresses at Big Daddy Bagels were friendly, attentive, and always willing to accommodate special requests with enthusiasm. Not to mention that their smiles never seemed to fade!

Overall, Big Daddy Bagels is an amazing restaurant experience – good food, unique atmosphere and top-notch customer service make it one of my favorite local spots for grabbing some of the best pizza in Golden CO!

#6 Lil’ Ricci’s

From the moment I arrived at Lil’ Ricci’s, I knew I was in for a treat. The inviting aroma of freshly cooked pizza wafted through the air and drew me right in.

The menu had a great selection of pizzas to choose from, including all sorts of delicious toppings. The atmosphere in the restaurant was warm and inviting; it felt like a cozy home away from home.

I ended up ordering the pepperoni pizza and it did not disappoint! It was cooked to perfection and had just enough grease to be tasty without being overwhelming. The sauce was flavorful and complemented the cheese and toppings perfectly.

The pizza was cooked to perfection with the perfect ratio of sauce, cheese, and toppings. The crust was just the right thickness – not too thin and not too thick – and had a nice crunch. Every bite was bursting with flavor!

The customer service was outstanding as well. The restaurant staff were super friendly, professional and gave us excellent recommendations for our toppings. I’m pretty sure that they knew that I’m a food critic because they made sure to tell me about their special dishes that aren’t on their menu.

I’d highly recommend Anthony’s Pizza & Pasta if you’re looking for great pizza in Golden CO! It’s definitely worth the trip!

I walked in, and the first thing that struck me was the atmosphere. The rustic vibes of the restaurant make you feel like you’re right at home with friends, and their staff is so friendly that it’s hard not to come back.

I tried out their new “Magic Mushroom” pizza which was a blend of mushrooms, garlic sauce, and a crispy crust- it was delicious!

The moment I stepped foot inside the restaurant and smelled the tantalizing aroma of fresh pizza dough, cheese, and spices, I knew that this was going to be a great experience.

The staff were all friendly and knowledgeable, offering up some great toppings suggestions for my customized pizzas. I opted for a few Italian classics – salami, pepperoni, mozzarella and olives – as well as some unexpected options like artichoke hearts and sun-dried tomatoes. As soon as the pizzas were put in the oven, I could tell just by the smell that they were going to be amazing.

When the pizzas arrived at our table, we were both speechless. They were perfectly cooked with an amazing texture to them – chewy on the inside and crisp on the outside. I’m a big fan of their signature crust: thin, but not too thin. It’s the perfect balance between crunchy and chewy. And they don’t skimp on the toppings either! Generous amounts of pepperoni, sausage, peppers, and other toppings really add to their delicious taste.

The service at Domino’s is always outstanding too. The staff is friendly and accommodating, and they go out of their way to make sure you have a great experience. Plus, they offer delivery and pick-up options, so you can get a pizza without ever leaving your house!

I was also pleasantly surprised by their prices. Their large pizzas are so reasonably priced that it almost seems like a steal! You can definitely get the best value for your money here.

I stumbled upon this local gem while on my travels and I can honestly say that I’m glad that I did. The pizza was absolutely delicious! The vegetarian options were a nice surprise, as were the dessert offerings!

Unfortunately, they don’t offer delivery so if you want to enjoy great pizza from Papa Murphy’s | Take ‘N’ Bake Pizza, you’ll need to take it home and bake it yourself. But trust me, it’s worth the effort!

The dough is amazingly fresh and soft, the toppings are hearty and flavorful, and the cheese is melted perfectly. Every bite is an absolute delight for your taste buds! I definitely recommend Papa Murphy’s | Take ‘N’ Bake Pizza for anyone looking for the best pizza in Golden CO.

From the moment you walk in, you are hit with an aroma of savory dough and fresh-baked ingredients that make your mouth water. One of the great benefits this place offers is that it serves alcohol, so if you want to have a beer or hard liquor with your pizza they’ve got you covered!

The toppings are not overly adventurous, which can be good for someone looking for familiar flavors. You’ll find great classics like pepperoni and olives but also some funky options like feta cheese and capers that make this pizza stand out. The crust is just right- crispy without being too crunchy.

The dessert here is also insanely good! From homemade tiramisu to deliciously light cream pies, Bella Colibri has something to satisfy every sweet tooth.

However, one downside to this place is that they don’t offer delivery services so you must eat there or take it to go! That being said, this restaurant doubles as a nice tourist spot (especially if you’re into Italian cuisine) and all of the staff members I encountered were friendly and professional.
