I recently set out on a mission to find the best pizza in Hyde Park, and after tasting over a dozen slices from several different places, I’m here to report back.

The atmosphere here is cozy, with a vintage vibe that brought back fond memories of my travels. I was immediately impressed and couldn’t wait to dig in!
My pizza was perfect – it had the perfect balance of cheese, tomato sauce, and dough. The crust was crisp and flavorful with pleasant hints of garlic and herbs. Every bite was like a little bite of pizza-flavored heaven!
The service at Nella Pizza e Pasta is always friendly, too. My waitress was friendly and helpful, suggesting just the right wine to pair with my pizza. She added to my overall experience!
My visit to Nella Pizza e Pasta has left me feeling satisfied beyond belief. Needless to say, this is definitely one of the best pizza spots in Hyde Park!

#2 The Sit Down Cafe & Sushi Bar

The first thing that caught my attention when I sat down was the unique atmosphere – its combination of Japanese and Italian flair was downright soothing. The walls were adorned with art, and it gave the restaurant a cozy yet hip vibe.
I was really looking forward to their pizza, and they did not disappoint. Their selections ranged from classic Margheritas to more creative pies like their Truffle Mushroom Pizza. The crust of each pie was light, crispy, and oh-so delicious! And the toppings – from fresh vegetables to artisan sausage – went perfectly with the homemade tomato sauce.
Of course, no meal would be complete without a couple of slices for dessert – and boy were they worth it! One of my favorites was their Nutella Surprise Pizza that had me licking my lips in delight.
So if you’re ever in town or just feel like treating yourself to a great slice of pizza, you should definitely visit The Sit Down Cafe & Sushi Bar! In my opinion, they have some of the best pizza in Hyde Park – it’s definitely worth checking out!
#3 Pizza Capri Hyde Park

The pizza dough is light and fluffy, with a perfect crunch that lets you know the crust was cooked to perfection. The toppings are bursting with flavor, from spicy pepperoni to sweet sausage; it’s all incredibly delicious. And let me not forget about their sauce – it has just the right amount of sweetness and spice!
As for atmosphere, Pizza Capri Hyde Park has a cozy feel inside that makes you want to sit down and enjoy a meal. Plus, the staff are super friendly and go out of their way to make sure your experience is nothing less than perfect.
All in all, my visit to Pizza Capri Hyde Park was an absolute delight! I can’t speak highly enough of this place and would definitely recommend it if you’re looking for the best pizza in Hyde Park. Trust me – it won’t disappoint!
#4 Jet’s Pizza
When I arrived at the restaurant, I was immediately taken by the inviting atmosphere and courteous staff. The pizza chef had an infectious enthusiasm for his craft that I knew would make for a great experience.
The first pizza to arrive at my table was Jet’s signature deep-dish square pie with extra cheese and pepperoni. It did not disappoint! Not only was it one of the biggest pizzas I’ve ever seen, but it tasted absolutely amazing! Every bite was full of flavor, it had just the right amount of grease, and the cheese melted perfectly.
For my second washroom, I decided to try something different – Jet’s classic thin crust with veggies. Again, I was not disappointed! All the toppings were fresh and flavorful and each one added a unique taste that blended so well with the thin crispy crust.
Overall, my experience at Jet’s Pizza was nothing short of amazing! The food was delicious and the service top notch. If you’re looking for some of the best pizza in Hyde Park, this is definitely where you should go!

#5 Cholies Pizza Hyde Park
When I first arrived, I was immediately impressed by the overwhelming smell of freshly cooked pizza! The decor inside was quaint yet inviting, and the staff was friendly and welcoming. Plus, they had a lively atmosphere which made me feel right at home.
The pizza itself was amazing! It truly was some of the best I’ve ever had. The crust was golden brown and crispy, while still being soft on the inside. The toppings were fresh and flavorful, and there were plenty to choose from. I opted for their signature chorizo sausage pizza which really hit all the right notes!
Overall, if you’re looking for a great pizza experience in Hyde Park, Cholies Pizza Hyde Park is definitely worth your time and money!
#6 Ace Pizza

The moment I stepped into the restaurant, I could smell the delicious aroma of freshly made pizza. The menu had lots of options to choose from and it didn’t take long for me to find something I liked – an extra cheese and pepperoni pizza.
The moment it arrived, I was impressed. The crust was perfectly cooked and crunchy, with a delightful texture. The toppings were generous and flavorful, with a hint of oregano that really brought out the flavor profile. The cheese was melted to perfection and had that classic stringy texture when you pull up a slice.
In short, Ace Pizza is far above the rest in Hyde Park when it comes to pizza! It’s been my experience that great pizza requires some time and skill in order to get everything just right – and this place definitely delivers! If you’re ever in Hyde Park looking for a slice or two of authentic Italian-style pizza, look no further than Ace Pizza.
#7 Giordano’s

When I first stepped inside, the aroma of freshly made pizza wafted through the air and I soon found myself drooling! But it’s not just about smell and sight at Giordano’s—the taste is simply divine.
They offer a wide variety of toppings, from pepperoni to artichoke hearts and fresh basil. The crust is light and fluffy yet still substantial enough to support all your chosen toppings without getting soggy. The tomato sauce is made with diced tomatoes for a delicious, tangy flavor that will keep you coming back for more.
The staff at Giordano’s were friendly and attentive, making sure to check on our table every few minutes to make sure we had everything we needed. As an added bonus they offer free delivery if you don’t feel like making the trip!
All in all, Giordano’s has quickly become my favorite spot for pizza in Hyde Park. If you’re looking for delicious pizza that won’t break your budget, then Giordano’s is definitely the place to go!

#8 Leona’s Pizzeria & Restaurant

When I arrived, I was greeted warmly and with a great selection of both traditional and specialty pies. From classic cheese to spicy pepperoni and beyond, Leona’s has something for everyone. The dough is made fresh daily and the ingredients are of the highest quality.
I sampled many of Leona’s creations, including their signature deep dish pie. To say it was extraordinary would be an understatement. It was truly one of the greatest things I’ve ever eaten! The crust was perfectly golden brown and had just the right amount of crunch on the outside while still being soft on the inside. The tomatoes were sweet and juicy, while the cheese melted into a gooey perfection.
To top it off, all of Leona’s recipes come with a side helping of charm and love that you’ll find nowhere else. Whether you pick up your order or dine in at the cozy restaurant, you can rest assured that you’ll get a delicious slice every time.
In my humble food critic opinion, Leona’s Pizzeria & Restaurant is one of Hyde Park’s best culinary secrets – definitely worth trying if you’re in search for good pizza!
#9 Domino’s Pizza
I visited the store off of 53rd Street, and the delicious smells of melted cheese and flavorful crust wafted through the air. The staff were friendly, efficient, and gave me an excellent dining experience.
The pizza itself was delightful! The sauce was flavorful and had just the right amount of tanginess. The dough was soft yet chewy with a dollop of garlic and herbs on top that really hit the spot. And oh, the cheese! A blend of mozzarella and provolone that melted in my mouth as I took each bite.
To top it all off, I decided to try their new Greek-style pizza with olives and artichoke hearts, which turned out to be a great decision! The flavors complemented each other perfectly for a delicious meal that I will be sure to come back for.
In conclusion, Domino’s Pizza has some of the best pizza in Hyde Park. From delectable crusts to savory ladles of sauce, this restaurant definitely deserves five stars from this food critic!
#10 Italian Fiesta Pizzeria – 47th St

I recently had the privilege of dining there and had a delightful experience. From the moment I stepped through the door, I was welcomed with a smile by the friendly and engaging staff. The restaurant itself is quite charming and cozy, and it didn’t take me long to feel at home.
The pizza selection is vast, offering something for everyone. From classic Margherita to creative pies like the Sausage, Asparagus and Ricotta White Pie, Italian Fiesta Pizzeria – 47th St has earned its reputation as one of Hyde Park’s best pizza restaurants.
My own meal consisted of the aforementioned white pie–a fantastic blend of sweet and savory flavors that left me wanting more! The thin crust was cooked perfectly, and each toppings layer added its own unique flavor to create an unforgettable taste experience.
To top off my meal, I ordered a cannoli for dessert and it was just delicious! The creamy ricotta filling paired perfectly with the crisp pastry shell.
All in all, Italian Fiesta Pizzeria – 47th St lived up to its reputation as one of Hyde Park’s best pizzerias! If you’re ever in the area, be sure to check them out–you won’t regret it!

#11 Papa Johns Pizza

I was skeptical at first, but the moment I walked in the door and took my first bite, I knew this place was special. The crust is perfectly done – not too crunchy, not too soggy. The sauce is incredibly flavorful, almost tangy in a good way. And of course the toppings – there’s a great variety to choose from and they’re all excellent quality.
But the real star of Papa Johns Pizza is their customer service. They truly care about making your pizza experience enjoyable, whether it’s taking time to discuss recommendations with you or being proactive in making sure everything comes out right. Plus the staff are always cheerful which just adds to the whole dining experience for me!
All-in-all this is easily one of the best pizza joints in Hyde Park and definitely worth checking out if you’re ever in the area. Delicious food, great customer service and a welcoming atmosphere – what more could you ask for?
#12 Ascione Bistro

The atmosphere was just as good as the food. The owners, Tony and Nicky, made sure to give me a warm welcome and help me choose the perfect pizza! The restaurant’s decor was cozy yet modern with a great view of Hyde Park.
The pizza itself was out of this world! Starting with their homemade secret sauce, each ingredient was fresh and delicious. I’ve tried pizzas from all over the world but this one takes the crown. It was also cooked to perfection – not too crispy or too doughy.
I would recommend Ascione Bistro to anyone looking for an excellent pizza experience in Hyde Park!
Best Deep Dish Pizza – Chicago’s Pizza
