The first thing I noticed when I walked in the door was how cozy the place was. The walls were adorned with pictures of different pizza recipes and there were several tables scattered around for those who wanted to dine-in.

When it came time to order, I decided on a classic pepperoni and sausage combo. It arrived hot out of the oven and it tasted amazing! The crust had that perfect balance between chewy and crispy, while the toppings had just the right amount of flavor. No wonder they’ve been such a beloved spot in West Philly for years now!

I also sampled some of their other offerings like the White Pizza, loaded with mushrooms, spinach, ricotta cheese, and garlic which was delicious. And if you’re looking for something truly unique, make sure to try their Hawaiian BBQ Pizza. It’s covered in sweet-and-tangy sauce, roasted pineapple slices, red onion slivers, mozzarella cheese, and smoky bacon bits – definitely something you won’t find anywhere else!

It was a very pleasant surprise for me to find such good pizza in this part of the city. The dough was thin, slightly sweet, and perfectly cooked – not too crispy, not too chewy. Topped with an unexpected combination of fresh veggies, flavorful meats, and creamy cheese and sauce, it was absolutely delicious.

The atmosphere at Rione was also great. The staff were welcoming, funny, and attentive. Plus they were knowledgeable about their dishes; they recommended several items that I hadn’t even considered trying!

Overall I had a wonderful experience at Rione and can confidently say that it’s one of the best places to get pizza in West Philly!

#3 Blaze Pizza

The atmosphere at Blaze Pizza is that of a cool and hip spot. The staff is always friendly and attentive, making sure your pizza experience is top notch.

The best part about Blaze Pizza is, of course, the pizza! The crust comes out a perfect golden-brown color every time and it’s cooked to perfection. You can then choose from any number of toppings – whether you’re looking for something classic like pepperoni or something more adventurous like banana peppers, they have it all. Whatever you choose, you will not be disappointed!

Another great feature of Blaze Pizza that made my experience stand out was their selection of sides – the garlic buttery bread was divine! I would definitely recommend it as an appetizer to start your meal off right.

Finally, let us talk about price. Considering how good the pizza is and the amount of ingredients you get, the price tag is definitely worth it. All in all, Blaze Pizza offers delicious pizza at an unbeatable price in West Philly – I highly recommend you give it a try if you haven’t already done so!

The restaurant itself has a cozy atmosphere, with plenty of seating and quick service. When it comes to the pizza, you can’t go wrong – the dough is wonderfully chewy, the sauce is flavorful and spicey, and the toppings are top notch. Even better? They offer an extensive selection of vegan toppings for all my plant-based friends out there!

And if that wasn’t enough, PARK PIZZA also offers a variety of sandwiches and salads. The sandwiches are loaded with fresh vegetables and just the right amount of cheese; and their salads are full of color and flavor.

But let’s be honest – we’re here for the pizza. And I can confidently say that it is well worth the visit! I would go as far as to say that PARK PIZZA has some of the best pizza in West Philly (and trust me, I know what I’m talking about). #5 Clarkville

I love the fact that the restaurant has always been family-run since it first opened in 1983. It’s run by a really friendly and welcoming family, always ready to serve up delicious pies.

Their menu is simple yet full of great options. It includes classic types of pizza like Margherita, Marinara, and pepperoni but also some unique specialty pizzas with flavors like ‘Pineapple Bacon’ and ‘Taco Fajita’.

The pizzas are made with fresh, high-quality ingredients and cooked to perfection; you can tell they take pride in their product. The crusts are especially amazing – they’re light, crispy and just the right amount of salty!

Another thing I love about Clarkville is that they offer weekly specials depending on what locally sourced ingredients they can get their hands on. For example, one week they were offering a special Mushroom & Kale pizza which was out of this world!

To top it all off – the prices are really reasonable for such great pizza. You could get a large pizza for $15 which is unheard of in West Philly.

#6 Pasqually’s Pizza, Beer & Wine – West Philadelphia

I decided to give Pasqually’s a try after hearing of their reputation for serving up some delicious pies. I was definitely not disappointed! From the moment I walked in, I could smell the heavenly aroma of freshly cooked pizza. The decor was nice, with plenty of seating and a cozy atmosphere.

I sampled several different pizzas during my visit, all of which were outstanding. The crust was perfectly crispy, while the toppings were cooked to perfection. The cheese was, dare I say it – divine! My favorite pizza was the classic margherita; it had just the right amount of tomato sauce and herbs that made the flavors really pop.

Overall, my experience at Pasqually’s Pizza, Beer & Wine – West Philadelphia was excellent. Service was friendly and attentive and prices were very reasonable for such great quality food. In my opinion, if you’re looking for some of the best pizza in West Philly then look no further than Pasqually’s!

#7 Royal Pizza

I stopped in on a quiet Monday night, and the inside of this joint was nothing short of impressive. The decor was modern yet rustic, and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. All that aside, I was here to try their pizza, so I dove right into an order of traditional cheese.

Let me tell you, the first bite was amazing! The crust was perfectly thin yet crispy and held up well under the gooey cheese and savory toppings. Every slice had just the right amount of sauce, too. There’s no doubt in my mind that Royal Pizza is serving some of the best pizza around these parts!

In addition to their delicious pizzas, Royal Pizza has a few other menu options that I’d recommend checking out too. Their wings are definitely worth trying, as they’re cooked in an array of unique sauces that have just enough kick to make them stand out from others I’ve tried elsewhere. And if you’re looking for a salad before or after your pie, they have some really tasty choices there too.

All-in-all, I can say without hesitation that Royal Pizza is one of the area’s best places for pizza and other Italian fare! From their top-notch ingredients to friendly service and cozy atmosphere – it’s all there for you at this place. Lucky West Philly residents!

#8 Overbrook Pizza

I’ve never been so impressed with a pizza joint before. The atmosphere is cozy yet industrial, and the menu offers a variety of unique pizzas that range from traditional to creative. The crust is light and fluffy, and the toppings are cooked perfectly. Plus, all their sauces are made daily with fresh ingredients!

The customer service here is top notch as well; everybody on staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. It felt like I was family there.

In conclusion, Overbrook Pizza is definitely one of the best places to get pizza in West Philly! Highly recommended!

When I first walked in to the restaurant, I was a bit taken aback. The colorful Greek decor and large white marble bar immediately reminded me of the pizzerias I visited in Sicily. Plus, their menu had all sorts of interesting toppings that made me very excited to try them out!

Once I placed my order, it didn’t take too long for my pizza to arrive. It was loaded with fresh ingredients and looked absolutely delicious. As soon as I placed my first bite into my mouth, I knew that this pizza was different from anything else I’d ever tasted-it was full of flavor and cooked perfectly! Not only did the pizza taste great but it was also presented artfully with an attractive array of fresh vegetables and herbs piled on top.

Overall, Mad Greek’s Pizza and Catering definitely lives up to the hype of being one of the best pizza places in West Philly. If you’re looking for a unique experience and some truly delicious food then this is definitely the spot for you!

#10 &pizza – UPenn

The first thing that struck me about &pizza – UPenn was the atmosphere. It’s a hip and modern spot geared towards college students, but with an upscale twist. The decor is modern and inviting, the staff are friendly and welcoming, and there’s a great selection of craft beer to choose from.

The highlight of my experience at &pizza – UPenn was definitely the pizza. I sampled a few different varieties, ranging from classic pies with fresh mozzarella to creative pies topped with creamy truffle sauce. Every single pie I tried exceeded my expectations in terms of flavor, texture, and overall deliciousness.

I have to admit that before arriving at &pizza – UPenn, I had my doubts that they would be able to live up to the hype as the best pizza in West Philly. But after having tried it for myself, I can confidently say that this place has earned its reputation!

Best Deep Dish Pizza – Joe’s Pizza Philly

But before I dive into the cheesy goodness, let me warn you about one downside of this place – they don’t accept reservations. I mean, come on Joe, it’s 2021! I had to stand in line for what felt like an eternity, watching pizza enthusiasts drool over slices while I anxiously waited for my turn. It was like a cruel joke, and I was the punchline.

Now, let’s talk about the pizza. Oh my, it was a slice of heaven! The crust was so thick and doughy, it was like biting into a cloud. And the cheese! It was like a molten, gooey lava flow of mozzarella. I’m pretty sure I heard angels sing when I took my first bite.

As soon as I walked into Pizzeria Vetri, the smell of freshly-baked dough hit me like a carb-induced dream. The atmosphere was cozy, with dim lighting and a rustic decor that made me feel like I was dining in the heart of Naples.

I started off my pizza adventure with their Margherita pizza. As the waitress placed the piping-hot pie in front of me, I couldn’t help but admire the vibrant tomato sauce and the perfect balance of mozzarella and basil leaves. One bite and I was transported to pizza heaven. The thin crust was crispy, yet perfectly chewy, with just the right amount of char from the wood-fired oven.
