- No delivery
The atmosphere is terrific; you can enjoy your meal in a cozy Italian-inspired environment, and they even serve alcohol! Not only do they have beer and wine but also hard liquor, which made my night much more enjoyable.
I was also pleasantly surprised to see some vegetarian options on their menu, as well as delicious desserts. The only downside is that there is no delivery service, so you’ll have to come in person if you want to enjoy Menomale’s pizza. However, it’s worth it!
The pizza was absolutely delicious–crispy crust with just the right amount of cheese and sauce–and definitely one of the best I’ve ever tasted. The crust was so light and flavorful that I wasn’t sure whether I should eat it with a fork or just fold up the slice like a New Yorker!
Overall, Menomale definitely lives up to its reputation as having some of the best pizza in The DMV!

And then it came time to try the pizza…I was blown away! The crust was perfectly cooked and fluffy, not too thin yet still crisp enough to keep hold of all the toppings. And boy are there some unique topping options here! From pesto and pine nuts, to vegan pepperoni – they offer something for everyone.

The atmosphere was inviting – the lively Italian music playing, the smell of heavenly pizza roasting in the oven, and the warm smiles from the staff. There’s a reason why Wiseguy Pizza is The DMV’s #1 pizza spot.
My favorite pizza had to be their Wiseguy Special – with pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms, onions and extra cheese – it was simply mouthwatering! Other pies that we tried included their Garlic Heaven Plus (for the garlic lovers out there) and their Spinach Supreme (which was surprisingly delicious).

I had the pleasure of visiting Bacio Pizzeria not too long ago and my expectations were blown away. The moment I walked in, I could smell the delicious aroma of pizza baking from the ovens. You could tell they take their pizza seriously here.
One of their signature pizzas is their Sicilian cheese pizza which is made with only the best ingredients – their sauce is perfectly spiced and sweet, their crust is crispy yet tender and light, and the cheese was melted to perfection. I also got a chance to try one of their classic Margherita pizzas which was equally as delicious; fresh basil, tomatoes, mozzarella cheese, and just a hint of oregano to compliment it all – it definitely hit the spot!

What makes their pizza so special you ask? Well, it’s the perfect combination of a homemade sauce and delicious dough that give each slice an unbeatable flavor. You can really taste the difference between All-Purpose Shaw’s pizza and the rest.
The crust is light, fluffy and full of flavor – not too soft or too crunchy. And the toppings were fresh and really added to the overall flavor. I tried the pepperoni pizza and was not disappointed.
I was also impressed with the ambiance of this place. It’s bright and inviting, but still has an old school feel that adds to its charm. The servers were very friendly and helpful as well – I felt like part of the family by the time I left!

#9 Pi Pizzeria
- Serves alcohol (and hard liquor!)
- Nice tourist spot
- Has insanely good dessert
- Has some vegetarian options
I’m not just saying this because of the great name, either. This place has some seriously delicious pizza.
The first thing I noticed upon entering Pi Pizzeria was the attention to detail in their decor. The walls were adorned with pictures of famous mathematicians and intricate mathematical equations – a truly unique theme that I immediately appreciated!
Of course, what makes or breaks a pizza place is the quality of the pizza itself. And in that regard, Pi Pizzeria delivers. Their secret recipe for dough yields a delightful crispy crust and chewy center – just as good as any Italian pizzeria I’ve been to! They also offer a huge variety of toppings for all tastes, from classic pepperoni to more exotic options like chorizo and jalapeños. Who knew math could taste so delicious?

- Nice tourist spot
- Has some vegetarian options
- Offers dessert
- No delivery
The atmosphere can’t be beat. It’s a great spot for tourists looking for a nice dinner and drinks. They serve both beer and hard liquor, which is rare for a pizza place!
The menu has some great vegetarian options as well, so everyone can find something they like. And if you still have room after the pizza, they also offer some desserts that are absolutely delectable.
My only complaint is that 2 Amys doesn’t deliver the pizza to your doorstep. You’ll have to go out there yourself (which isn’t a huge hardship since it’s such a fun spot).

Best Thin Crust Pizza – Pi Pizzeria

- Has insanely good dessert
- Has some vegetarian options
- Nice tourist spot
As a self-proclaimed pizza connoisseur, I’ve had my fair share of cheesy disasters and doughy disappointments. But when I sunk my teeth into a slice at Pi Pizzeria, my taste buds rejoiced like they were at a pizza party in their honor.
Let’s talk about the crust, shall we? It was thinner than a politician’s excuse for a tax increase. I mean, it was so thin that if you blinked, you might miss it. But don’t worry, it was also crispy enough to make potato chips jealous. And the best part? It didn’t suffer from that dreaded soggy middle syndrome. Oh no, this crust was sturdy enough to support all the glorious toppings it carried.
Speaking of toppings, Pi Pizzeria had options that could satisfy even the pickiest eaters. From classic pepperoni to more adventurous combinations like barbecue chicken with pineapple (I see you, controversial toppings!), there was something for everyone. And let me tell you, they didn’t skimp on them either. My pizza was piled high with flavor. It was like a delicious Mount Everest of toppings, ready to be conquered.
The atmosphere at Pi Pizzeria was equally enjoyable. The staff was as friendly as a golden retriever who just discovered a tennis ball. They were quick to offer recommendations and didn’t bat an eye when I ordered a second pizza. Hey, my taste buds were on vacation, and I planned to give them the full tour!

And maybe, just maybe, you’ll catch me there, shamelessly devouring pizza after pizza like it’s my job. Oh wait, it is my job. Excuse me while I book my next flight to dc!
Best Wood Fired Pizza – Ella’s Wood Fired Kitchen
- Great place to watch sports

Walking into Ella’s, I couldn’t help but admire the rustic, wood-fired oven that sat front and center. It reminded me of my old college dorm room, except instead of burning questionable substances, they were creating magical pizzas.
As a self-proclaimed pizza expert, I take my crust very seriously. And let me tell you, Ella’s has it down to a science. The crust is thin and crispy, with just the right amount of char from the wood fire. It’s so delicious, I caught myself contemplating sneaking an extra slice into my suitcase for later.
Now, let’s talk toppings. Ella’s doesn’t mess around when it comes to flavor combinations. I tried their Fire Breather pizza, which had spicy pepperoni, jalapeños, hot honey, and a sprinkle of insanity. It was like a fiery party in my mouth, and I was the guest of honor. I also tried their Mediterranean Madness which was topped with olives, feta cheese, roasted red peppers, and a sprinkle of the Mediterranean Sea. It was like taking a vacation without leaving my seat.
But that’s not all, folks! Ella’s also offers a variety of other wood-fired dishes, like their delectable wood-fired chicken wings. These wings were so tasty, I considered checking if I could have them shipped to my hometown.
