I’ve tried pizzerias in many different locations, so I’m confident in my recommendation that San Leandro has some of the best pizza you can find. After eating at twelve different spots around the city, I have a lot to say about each one and what makes them special.

#1 Pizza Hut Express

The first thing that stands out is the atmosphere. It may not be in the fanciest neighborhood, but the decor and vibes of this place are great. The staff members are always friendly and willing to help with whatever I need.

The pizza itself is top-notch! Every single time I come here, there’s something different on offer – new flavors, different toppings and more. Even better, they keep it affordable so you don’t have to break the bank for a good meal.

My favorite thing about Pizza Hut Express is just how convenient it is. Whether I’m in a rush or just want to get some good pizza without having to wait too long, this place has my back!

The only downside is that they don’t offer delivery, but that’s a small issue in comparison to everything else.

So if you’re looking for some of the best pizza in San Leandro, then you have got to check out Pizza Hut Express! You won’t regret it!

#2 Bluebird Pizzeria

The first thing that hits you when you walk in the door at Bluebird Pizzeria is the amazing smell of freshly-baked pizza. The decor is classic Italian and very inviting.

I was instantly transported back to Naples due in part to the old-school Italian music playing in the background!

The pizzas were absolutely delicious, and I particularly enjoyed the thin crust. It was cooked just right, with a crispy bottom and a slightly chewy top. To top it all off, they weren’t stingy with their generous toppings! Plenty of peppers, mushrooms and onions for me to devour.

I strongly recommend trying Bluebird Pizzeria’s pizza if you’re looking for some great pizza in San Leandro – you won’t be disappointed!

#3 Marina Pizza Parlor

I visited this pizza parlor on a recent trip to the area, and was absolutely blown away by the quality of their food! The crust was perfect – not too doughy and not too thin, with just the right amount of crunch. The sauce was rich but not acidic, and the cheese melted like butter.

The toppings were plentiful and fresh, with an array of options that would please even the pickiest eater. They had classic combinations such as pepperoni and mushrooms, as well as more unique ones like artichoke hearts and spinach. Even better, they offer vegan options for those who prefer plant-based meals.

To top it all off, the staff was friendly and accommodating; I could tell that they truly care about providing great service alongside great food. All in all, Marina Pizza Parlor is one of my favorite pizza places anywhere in San Leandro – or anywhere else for that matter!

#4 Red Pepper Pizza

When I first stepped in, I was struck by the few but uniquely-designed decor. It had a cozy, homey atmosphere that immediately set me at ease.

The menu had many delicious offerings, but the star of the show were the pizzas. The classic margherita pizza was simply outstanding – light and crispy with a basil-sweet taste that was perfect. The pepperoni pizza was also fantastic – it had just the right amount of ooey-gooey cheese with spicy pepperoni slices that gave it a rich flavor.

The service at Red Pepper Pizza is top notch – they were friendly and helpful, always willing to answer my questions. And when we received our pizzas, they were as fresh as could be!

I would highly recommend Red Pepper Pizza for anyone looking for great pizza in San Leandro – I guarantee you won’t be disappointed!

#5 Red Apple Pizza

The atmosphere of the restaurant is great. There’s a fun and relaxed vibe that I felt as soon as I walked in. And their pizza is, simply put, delicious!

The crust was perfectly thin and crispy, with just enough charring to give it a nice smokey flavor. The sauce was full-flavored and flavorful, with just the right amount of garlic in it to make it pop. And the cheese – oh, the cheese! Mozzarella so creamy and flavorful that I could literally taste the cows that made it!

To top it all off, their toppings were fresh and flavorful. Whether I got sausage, pepperoni, bell peppers, mushrooms – you name it – they always tasted fresh and delicious.

In short, if you’re looking for some of the best pizza in San Leandro (or anywhere!), head on over to Red Apple Pizza for an amazing experience!

#6 Porky’s Pizza Palace

I was immediately impressed with the atmosphere of Porky’s Pizza Palace from the moment I stepped in. It felt like a little piece of Italy had come to San Leandro! The friendly staff and bright decor made me feel instantly welcome.

The pizza itself was outstanding! My personal favorite was the classic cheese pizza, but I’d definitely recommend trying out all the different options. The crusts are perfectly baked, and the variety of toppings ensures there’s something for everyone. They even offer some unique goodies, such as deep dish buffalo chicken pizza and gourmet garden vegetable pizza.

Of course, no great pizza experience is complete without a side of garlic knots – and Porky’s Pizza Palace hits it out of the park in that department too! The addition of garlic and parmesan makes them irresistibly tasty – especially when dipped into marinara sauce!

In summary, Porky’s Pizza Palace is hands down one of the best places to get quality pizza in San Leandro. From great ambiance to delicious food options, you won’t be disappointed by this wonderful pizzeria. Bon appetite!

#7 Rubiano’s

The atmosphere was lively and the staff were super friendly. The crust was perfectly baked, with a nice crunchy texture that had me coming back for more. The toppings were plentiful and tasted fresh, with some unique combinations that really stood out from the crowd.

Of course, all great pizzas have one key ingredient: cheese. Rubiano’s pizza had plenty of it! My first slice melted in my mouth, leaving me wanting to try every single variety on their menu! There was something for everyone.

I’d highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a delicious pizza that won’t break the bank. With its reliable service and consistently delicious food, Rubiano’s is definitely one of the best pizza places in San Leandro.

#8 Papa Murphy’s | Take ‘N’ Bake Pizza

This take-and-bake pizza spot is definitely worth the visit if you’re looking for a delicious, homemade pizza with plenty of options. They have lots of traditional toppings like pepperoni, sausage, and mushrooms, plus some vegetarian varieties as well!

Plus, you get to choose the size of your pizza – anything from large to mini – so you can customize it to suit your appetite. Unfortunately, Papa Murphy’s doesn’t offer delivery, but that’s really the only downside.

The crust itself is perfection – it has just the right amount of crunch and flavor. And they offer so many different toppings that are all cooked to perfection – what more can I say? Papa Murphy’s offers truly amazing pizza that will always leave you wanting more.

Overall, I highly recommend Papa Murphy’s | Take ‘N’ Bake Pizza as having some of the best pizza in San Leandro. If you’re ever in town looking for an amazingly delicious pizza experience, this should be your first stop!

#9 Slice Pizza & Krunchy Chicken

The first thing I noticed upon entering was the delicious smell of baking pizza and fried chicken. The interior was well-kept and inviting, with a large chalkboard menu on the wall. The staff were friendly and helpful too, which is always a plus!

When it came to the food, let me just say this place did not disappoint. The crusts were thin and crispy as promised, with tons of delicious toppings piled on top. My favorite by far was their Four Cheese Pizza – it had just the right amount of cheese and herbs for an amazing flavor.

And don’t get me started on their Krunchy Chicken! It’s coated in a flavorful blend of spices – really packs a punch! Even though I’m usually not one to order fried chicken from a pizza joint, this stuff was worth trying out.

All in all, Slice Pizza & Krunchy Chicken offers some of the best pizza in San Leandro – and my taste buds agree! So if you’re ever looking for great pizza or fried chicken, be sure to give this place a try!

#10 Mountain Mike’s Pizza

I’ve been to a lot of places, but I have to say the pizza here is definitely top-notch. The crust was not too thick and not too thin, the sauce was flavorful, and the cheese was perfectly melted.

The toppings were great too. From pepperoni to pineapple, they had everything that I could want in a pizza. Plus, the service was friendly and super-fast!

I must say– Mountain Mike’s Pizza made me a believer. This is definitely one of the best places for pizza around here. And if you’re looking for good eats in San Leandro, I recommend a trip to Mountain Mike’s Pizza without hesitation!

#11 Straw Hat Pizza

The pizza here is incredibly delicious, and I can’t get enough of it! The crust is out of this world – no matter what topping you choose, you’re sure to be pleased. My favorite toppings are the classic pepperoni and cheese, as well as their unique BBQ chicken version.

The atmosphere of Straw Hat Pizza is also top-notch. It’s a great place for friends and family to gather for an enjoyable evening – the staff is friendly and the decor is cozy. I especially like the vintage signs that line the walls!

But most importantly, the pizza here tastes amazing! I would recommend Straw Hat Pizza to anyone looking for the best pizza in San Leandro – you won’t be disappointed!

#12 Mountain Mike’s Pizza

When I arrived at the restaurant, I was taken aback by the genuine hospitality from the staff. The place was bustling with people, leading me to believe that this spot is a favorite among locals.

The decor was charming and cozy, making it a great atmosphere for a night out with friends or family.

Now on to the food! First, I ordered their signature pepperoni pizza. The crust was perfectly crispy, the mozzarella melted in my mouth and the pepperoni added just enough flavor to make it a 10/10 experience.

Next I tried their Hawaiian pizza, which didn’t disappoint either! The pineapple added a sweet note that balanced wonderfully with the salty ham and gooey cheese.

I also sampled their salad bar, which offered fresh veggies and delicious dressings that complemented everything else nicely.

Overall, Mountain Mike’s Pizza has definitely earned its spot as one of the best pizzas in San Leandro — if not THE best! I highly recommend stopping here for an amazing slice (or two).
