#1 Danny’s Authentic NY Pizza

The atmosphere is great, the pizza is served fresh, and the staff are incredibly friendly. Plus, they definitely know how to make a mean pie!

I tried the Gary’s Grandma Pie and it was incredible. The crust was perfectly cooked, not too thick or too thin. It had just enough cheese and toppings to keep me satisfied without feeling like I had eaten too much. The sauce was bold and flavorful without being overwhelming, which gave me plenty of room to appreciate all of the textures in each bite.

I also enjoyed their salads – big portions of fresh ingredients topped with a light homemade dressing that brought out the flavor of everything on top.

As a food critic, I’m always looking for excellent pizza and Uncle Mikey’s definitely delivers! The pizzas are always hot and fresh, with tons of great toppings. Plus, the dough and sauce ratio is perfect!

The restaurant also has lots of benefits that set it apart from other pizza places. They offer alcoholic drinks, have a kid’s menu, some vegetarian options, and even desserts! It’s such a nice place for tourists as well; you can sit inside or eat outside in the garden area.

The only downside is that there isn’t any delivery – but if you’re in Garden City SC, it’s worth making the trip to Uncle Mikey’s Pizza for sure!

#3 Surfside Beach Pizza

The environment of Surfside Beach Pizza was surprisingly laid-back for a pizza joint – one that reminded me of my local beach. The staff was friendly and welcoming, which only added to the atmosphere.

But I’m here to talk about the pizza, not the ambiance! And boy, Surfside Beach Pizza delivered. The crust was perfectly thin yet crispy and tasted like it had been made fresh just a few minutes before. The toppings were perfect – hot and tangy with a good balance of spices and herbs.

The first thing I noticed when entering the pizzeria was the delicious aroma of freshly baked crusts and melted cheese. It was heavenly! The restaurant had a cozy atmosphere, with a counter where you could watch them hand make the dough right before stretching it into the perfect pizza pie.

The choices of toppings were vast – everything from regular pepperoni to more exotic choices like jalapenos and artichoke hearts. I opted for classic pepperoni and sausage, as well as a side order of garlic knots.

Let me tell you – it was one of the best slices of pizza I’ve ever had! The crust was perfectly crunchy on the outside yet soft and chewy on the inside, and the sauce was just flavorful enough without being overwhelming. The fresh ingredients all complemented each other perfectly.

The garlic knots were equally delicious – crispy on the outside and doughy in the middle. They went great with the pizza and gave it an extra kick of savory flavor.

I have no doubt that Dough Boys’ NY Style Pizzeria deserves its reputation as having some of the best pizza in Garden City SC – if not all of South Carolina! Whether you’re looking for a casual spot to grab dinner or somewhere to host an event, this place is definitely worth checking out.

#6 Island Bar & Grill

When I walked into the restaurant, I knew I was in for a treat. The restaurant was full of life and energy, thanks to a few classic sports games playing on the many TVs posted around the walls. It also helps that they serve beer and hard liquor – great for any occasion!

When I tried their pizza, it had all the ingredients you could want in an amazing slice: a perfectly crispy crust, melted cheese, and lots of toppings. But what made it stand out was the fresh local flavors each topping brought to the table.

Even if you have room for dessert, Island Bar & Grill has got you covered. They offer up gorgeous slices of cake and other treats that will make your meal complete. You’ll feel like you’re dining at a 5-star Italian restaurant!

The only caveat is that unfortunately Island Bar & Grill does not offer delivery (though you can have them cater an event). But other than that, it’s definitely worth making a trip to this wonderful Garden City spot for some of the best pizza around!

#7 Ginos Real NY Pizza

First, and foremost, the pizza delivered! The thin crust had just the right amount of crunch to it and was not soggy. The slice itself was overflowing with fresh cheese, providing an ooey-gooey cheesy experience that I could not get enough of.

The flavor profile was on point as well. The peppery taste that comes from good Italian seasoning was prevalent but not overwhelming. Every bite left me wanting more and making me come back for more multiple times.

I highly recommend Ginos Real NY Pizza to all my friends and family who are in search for their next great pizza experience! By far the best pizza in Garden City SC!

#8 Mellow Mushroom Murrells Inlet

When I walked through the door, I was immediately taken aback by the atmosphere and decor. The walls were lined with vibrant graffiti art and psychedelic posters. The energy in the restaurant was lively and upbeat with a variety of music playing in the background – it reminded me of a proper pizza party.

Once I sat down and took a look at their menu, my mouth started to water! They had so many incredible options including classic margherita pizzas, unique vegan options, and even build-your-own pizzas with loads of creative toppings. After much deliberation, I decided to go for the Mediterranean Pizza with sun-dried tomatoes, feta cheese, spinach, roasted red peppers and garlic oil for some added zing.

It was quite possibly one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had – the crust had an amazing crisp yet chewy texture while being topped with absolutely delicious ingredients. Even though I wasn’t able to finish my pizza due to how full it made me feel (it seriously filled me up!), what’s important is that every bite was savoured and enjoyed!

Overall, Mellow Mushroom Murrells Inlet deserves its title as having some of the best pizza in Garden City SC! With their unique atmosphere, incredible selection of pizzas and great tasting food overall, this is definitely one spot you should add to your list on your next visit to Garden City SC!

#9 Fox’s Pizza Den

The atmosphere of Fox’s Pizza Den was great! It had a cozy, inviting feel and the décor was just perfect. The staff were all very friendly and helpful too.

The pizza at Fox’s Pizza Den is second-to-none! They make their pizzas with fresh ingredients and every bite had amazing flavor. I couldn’t believe how delicious it was, especially considering the reasonable prices they charge.

Their specialty pizzas are particularly worth trying. The Grandma’s Favorite features a creamy pesto sauce with artichokes, parmesan cheese, tomatoes and red onions that melts in your mouth! The Mediterranean Supreme has a crisp, thin crust topped with olive spread and loaded with spinach, feta cheese, chicken, tomatoes and black olives – an absolute masterpiece for your taste buds!

Overall I definitely recommend Fox’s Pizza Den to anyone looking for some seriously tasty pizza. In my opinion this really is one of the best pizza places in Garden City SC you can find!

#10 Old Chicago Pizza & Taproom

The interior is a cozy blend of rustic and modern style, making it a great place to hang out with friends. The staff are knowledgeable about the menu and always make sure I’m satisfied with my order.

I usually stick to the classic choices like cheese and pepperoni, but Old Chicago Pizza & Taproom also offers plenty of creative topping options like artichoke hearts and Greek olives that allow me to explore more interesting pizza combinations.

The crust is always crunchy, the sauce flavorful, and the cheese perfectly balanced with other toppings. Plus, the thin slices mean there’s no hassle when trying to fold and eat pizza on-the-go!

Overall, I would highly recommend Old Chicago Pizza & Taproom for anyone looking for that perfect slice of pizza. It’s definitely earned its reputation as one of the best pizzerias in Garden City SC!

#11 Franco’s NY Pizza

As soon as I walked in the door, I could smell the garlic and cheese that made my mouth water. The decor was classic New York style – red-and-white checkered table cloths, brick walls, and a larger than life photo of Franco himself behind the counter.

But it was the pizza that really stole the show! Each slice had moist, fluffy dough with just enough crunch on the outside edge. And every bite was full of cheesy goodness with a hint of spicy tomato sauce – a combination hard to find anywhere else.

I also have to mention their great prices! For an extreme foodie like me, this joint offers an amazing amount of value for money.

#12 Ultimate California Pizza

The first thing I noticed was the atmosphere. It’s both a great tourist spot and a great place to watch sports games, so it really doesn’t matter what kind of mood you’re in – you’ll be sure to enjoy yourself here! Plus, they have a kid’s menu, which is always welcomed when you have children with you.

And the pizza? Oh man, it was amazing! Not only do they offer some vegetarian options (I went with their Veggie Supreme Pizza), but they serve booze too – and hard liquor! It may be hard to believe, but this place has definitely become a go-to for me when I’m in town.

The only downside is that they don’t offer delivery, but truthfully – after tasting their pizza – I can understand why. The freshness and taste of the ingredients are much better if you dine in! Plus, you don’t want your slice getting soggy on its way home!

All in all, if you’re looking for some of the best pizza Garden City SC has to offer, Ultimate California Pizza should definitely be at the top of your list. I know it’s at the top of mine!
