I’ve scoured the city for its pizza spots, trying out a total of 12 places. From hole-in-the-wall joints that have been around for decades to up-and-coming gourmet pizza shops, I sampled the best that Aurora had to offer.

It was no easy feat! But after sorting through countless slices, I’m excited to share my favorite pick and provide a humorous look into my top pizzerias in Aurora CO.

#1 Mondo’s Pizza

I had the pleasure of visiting this restaurant recently, and I was certainly not disappointed! The atmosphere was absolutely delightful; the walls were adorned with cozy Italian-style décor, and I enjoyed the music playing in the background.

The pizza that I sampled was outstanding. The crust was perfectly crispy, yet still had a nice chew to it. The sauce was deliciously tangy with just a hint of sweetness. And the cheese – oh my goodness, the cheese! It had that perfect balance between stringiness, flavor and texture. Needless to say, it really hit the spot!

In addition to great pizza, Mondo’s also offers an impressive selection of appetizers and sides that are worth checking out. For instance, their garlic knots are some of the best I’ve ever tasted – crunchy on the outside, fluffy on the inside!

All in all, if you’re looking for some of Aurora CO’s best pizza – look no further than Mondo’s Pizza!

#2 Pomodoro Pizza Pasta LLC

I was immediately impressed with the authenticity of the ingredients and the atmosphere of the restaurant. From the moment I stepped inside, it was clear that Pomodoro Pizza Pasta LLC takes their pizza seriously. The ingredients were fresh and delicious, and the crust had just the right amount of crunch.

The staff was friendly and knowledgeable about their food. They helped me select a few of my favorite recipes, making sure to suggest extra ingredients like garlic or oregano if I wanted something a little more special.

The best part? The prices are very reasonable! I don’t think you can find better value in Aurora CO for quality pizza like this.

#3 T-Mama’s Gourmet

The atmosphere is cozy and homey, with a dimly lit seating area that’s perfect for a romantic evening out. The staff are friendly and accommodating, making you feel right at home when you walk in the door.

I was absolutely blown away by their unique topping combinations. From traditional toppings like pepperoni and sausage, to creative combinations like garlic shrimp, artichoke hearts and pesto, there’s something to please everyone’s taste buds. Their specialty pizzas are also incredible; my personal favorite is the Hawaiian BBQ — it tastes like a tropical vacation in your mouth!

Their crust is perfectly crisp on the outside yet chewy on the inside; I’ve tasted nothing quite like it anywhere else in the world. And their tomato sauce adds an amazingly robust flavor that complements all of their toppings perfectly.

Overall, I would highly recommend T-Mama’s Gourmet to anyone looking for some of the best pizza in Aurora CO! Trust me – this place will not disappoint!

#4 Pizza 72

The joint’s a bit of a hole-in-the-wall, but that doesn’t take away from the amazing experience. You can smell the delicious aroma of pizza dough and sauce as soon as you walk in the door.

First off, the crust is perfect: thick enough to offer some chewiness but still crispy; not too thin, not too thick. The sauce is flavorful with just the right amount of sweetness and tang. And let’s not forget about the cheese—it’s so creamy and melty it’ll make your mouth water!

And speaking of toppings, Pizza 72 offers more than just your typical pepperoni or mushrooms. There’s an array of unique options such as smoked salmon, artichokes, and even chorizo! Every bite was well balanced and incredibly delicious.

To top it all off (literally!), my pizza was served hot and fresh out of the oven. I have no doubt why this little gem has become known as one of the best pizzas in Aurora CO!

#5 Dion’s

The atmosphere at Dion’s is cozy and inviting; I love being able to watch the pizza makers make their delicious pies. The wood-burning oven gives off a heavenly aroma, and you can see the flames dancing around as the chef skillfully moves your pizza in and out of the oven.

The pies themselves are incredibly tasty! Whether you’re in the mood for thin crust or thick crust, Dion’s has it all. The ingredients they use are all fresh, and they don’t skimp on toppings either. The cheese they use melts perfectly on top of each pizza, and I’m always impressed by how perfectly cooked their crusts are.

Last but not least, Dion’s staff are super friendly! They always greet me with a smile and were happy to answer any questions that I had about their menu. Their hospitality makes it so easy to come back time after time (which I do!).

#6 LuBo’s Ny Pizza

The restaurant itself is quaint and cozy, with a welcoming atmosphere that instantly makes you feel at home. The walls are decorated with old-school movie posters and the sound of classic rock wafting from the speakers creates a truly enjoyable experience.

The pizza itself is truly awesome! I’m a fan of thin crust pizza and LuBo’s Ny Pizza specializes in it. The crust was crispy but not too hard, and each piece was loaded with the perfect amount of sauce and cheese. My personal favorite is their Deluxe option, where they load the pizza up with pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms, peppers, onions and extra cheese – yum!

I would also recommend trying out one of their specialty pizzas such as the Buffalo Chicken or Chipotle BBQ pizzas. Both options were fantastic, giving me a unique twist on traditional pizza flavors.

In short, if you’re looking for amazing pizza in Aurora CO then look no further than LuBo’s Ny Pizza. It’s easily some of the best pizza I’ve ever had!

#7 Mama Alvino’s Pizzeria

When I first stepped into the pizzeria, I was immediately impressed by the rustic Italian decor and smelled a delectable combination of sweet tomatoes, garlic, and oregano coming from the kitchen. Immediately, my mouth began to water.

My waiter was very friendly and attentive, offering me some of the best recommendations. I ended up ordering the “House Special,” an amazing blend of fresh mozzarella cheese and homemade tomato sauce topped with pepperoni, mushrooms, red onions and peppers. It was perfection! The dough was light yet crisp on the edges which enhanced all of the flavors in the toppings.

I also had a chance to try some of their specialty desserts – Tiramisu and Cannoli – which were both outstanding!

All in all, Mama Alvino’s Pizzeria is definitely one of the best pizza places in Aurora CO that offers excellent Italian cuisine at reasonable prices. If you’re looking for a great place to get your pizza fix, then Mama Alvino’s is where you need to go!

#8 MOD Pizza

The atmosphere of MOD Pizza is warm, inviting and modern – perfect for a casual meal. Plus, the ordering process is simple: you choose your size, sauce and toppings and they make it right in front of you.

The pizzas themselves were delicious. I went with a classic margherita pizza with red sauce, fresh mozzarella and basil, which was cooked perfectly to create a crunchy crust with a soft center. The ingredients were all so fresh and flavorful, I couldn’t stop eating it!

But that’s not all MOD Pizza has to offer – they also have salads, desserts and beverages. I had the Caesar salad which was full of crunchy greens, zesty dressing and creamy croutons – just like Caesar salads back home in Italy.

Overall, I’d highly recommend MOD Pizza to anyone looking for the best pizza in Aurora CO. The atmosphere was friendly and inviting, the staff were super helpful with recommendations, and the pizzas are simply divine!

#9 Gyros King & Pizzeria

Their delicious slices are thick and flavorful, made with fresh ingredients. The crust is crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside – just the way it should be! Their signature gyro-style pizza is a must-try; it’s loaded with spices, meat, and veggies that make for a truly unforgettable flavor!

I was also impressed by their unique toppings. There are traditional favorites like pepperoni and sausage, but there were some specialties like Greek olives, feta cheese, artichokes, and sun dried tomatoes that really elevated the pizzas to another level.

The service was friendly and quick – I didn’t even have to wait long for my order. Plus, their prices are incredibly reasonable. Overall, Gyros King & Pizzeria earned a 10/10 rating from me! It’s definitely one of the best pizzas in Aurora CO!

#10 Wood Paddle Pizza & Tap

The atmosphere was inviting and the staff were friendly. The pizza chef himself greeted me at the door, which really made it feel like home. I opted for their signature Wood Paddle pizza – a 12-inch thin crust pizza with fresh ingredients, that is cooked in their wood-fire oven to perfection.

The first bite was pure heaven! It had all the flavors of an Italian classic: sweet tomato sauce, freshly picked basil, smoky mozzarella cheese and succulent sausage. The crust was perfect – crispy on the edges and soft in the middle. Even better yet, they didn’t skimp on the toppings!

I also had their tap beers to accompany my meal. They offered an excellent selection of craft beers on tap, each one perfectly suited to pair with my delicious pizza.

Overall this is definitely one of Aurora’s best spots for great food and drinks. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a delicious meal or some great beer!

#11 Legends of Aurora Sports Grill

The first thing that struck me when I walked in was the atmosphere. It’s very sports-bar themed, with TVs everywhere playing sporting events and memorabilia from the local teams adorning the walls. The staff were super friendly, and they always had great advice about what to order.

Now onto the pizza — it definitely lived up to my expectations! Every pizza is made with freshly-made dough and cooked in a wood-fired oven to get that delicious smoky flavor. Plus, each pizza is topped with a unique blend of high quality ingredients like mozzarella cheese, pepperoni, onions, mushrooms and more.

After trying a few different pizzas myself I can honestly say this place is worth its reputation as one of Aurora’s best pizza places. The crust was light and airy, just how it should be. Plus there was plenty of cheese and toppings to make each bite enjoyable. My favorite was the signature Legends Pizza with pepperoni, mushrooms, black olives, tomatoes and garlic for added flavor; simply delicious!

#12 Coloradough Pizza

The first thing that struck me when I walked in was the incredible smell of freshly-baked dough. The pies here are baked to perfection with a thin and crispy crust, cheesy toppings, and savory sauces.

The pizza selection at Coloradough Pizza is delicious and varied. From traditional favorites like pepperoni to gourmet pies such as the “Pizza de Colorado” topped with peppers, onions, mushrooms, ham, and olives – there’s something for everyone here!

And it doesn’t end there – the restaurant also serves up delicious sandwiches, salads, pastas and more! The service is friendly and efficient. Everything I’ve eaten has been top notch!

Overall, Coloradough Pizza is one of the best pizza places in town. Whether you’re looking for a quick lunch or dinner with friends, this is the place to go!
