I stepped into this cozy establishment and was immediately welcomed by the warm and friendly staff. As I gazed around the room, my eyes were drawn to the large brick oven that dominates one corner of the dining area. After taking a seat, I already knew I was in for something special!
The menu choices were delightful, but I settled on the “Larobi’s Special,” which consisted of generous amounts of cheese, pepperoni, mushrooms, onions, and black olives. Once it arrived at my table, I sank my teeth into it and have to say that it was by far some of tastiest pizza I’d ever had. The minute I walked into the restaurant, I was hit with a barrage of wonderful smells and aromas coming from the kitchen. It didn’t take me long to get settled in and order my first slice. My experience started with a bang – they have a nice and cozy atmosphere, but also offer an outdoor dining area which is great for this time of year. The wood-fired oven gives the pizza an amazing smoky flavor.
I tried the classic Margherita Pizza, and it was absolute perfection! It was cooked to perfection and had just the right amount of cheese, tomatoes, garlic and herbs. The crust was thin and crispy, yet still soft on the inside.
The Italian Sausage Pie was another great hit – it had a slightly spicy kick that went perfectly with its mellow mozzarella cheese flavor. I would definitely recommend this one!
The only downside to Pizza Barbarossa is that their prices are a bit steep – I’d expect something like this from a restaurant in a bigger city. Still, if you’re looking for some truly amazing pizza in Charleston WV then this should be your first stop!

When I arrived at the restaurant, I was struck by the high quality of ingredients and pristine kitchen.
