My search for the best pizza in the area led me to twelve different places. I got to work eating, tasting, and evaluating my way through the city’s options. It was a hard job, but somebody had to do it!

I can now proudly recommend some of Huntersville’s best pizza. And believe me when I say that I know great pizza. From New York City to Rome, I’ve been around the globe searching out delicious pies, so you can trust my judgment!

#1 Tony’s Pizza

From the moment I stepped in, I was overwhelmed with the scent of delicious pizza cooking in the ovens. The staff were friendly and helpful and showed me all the amazing options they had available.

I started with a classic pepperoni and mozzarella pizza and was quickly impressed by how fresh all the ingredients were. The crust was crispy on the outside but soft on the inside, the sauce had a nice balance of sweetness and acidity, and best of all there wasn’t an overload of cheese that would have drowned out all those beautiful flavors.

The next thing I sampled was their signature Tony’s Supreme Pizza loaded with olives, mushrooms, onions, peppers and sausage – wow! It had so much flavor packed into one slice that it almost felt like a waste to share with others.

To finish off my meal, I ordered one of their dessert pizzas made with Nutella, strawberries, and bananas – this is definitely one not to miss! The combination of flavors blended beautifully together into something that could only be described as heavenly.

I had the privilege to be one of the first customers when they opened their doors and wow! I was blown away. The atmosphere is inviting and you can tell that Padovas Pizza takes great pride in providing an unforgettable dining experience.

The pizza itself was simply amazing! Everyone at our table agreed it was the best they had ever tasted. The crust was perfectly crispy with a hint of sweetness. The cheese was creamy and melted in my mouth with every bite. And, the sauce! It was out of this world! Richly flavored and perfectly spiced with herbs and spices, it added the perfect finishing touch to their delicious pies.

I have had a lot of pizza in my life, but when I tried Slice House Pizza, I knew it was different. The crust was light and fluffy, the toppings were flavorful, and the cheese was perfectly melted. The atmosphere of the restaurant was warm and inviting. As soon as I stepped in, the heavenly smells of pizza filled my nostrils with delight. The pizzas were cooked to perfection in their wood-fired oven, giving them a slightly smoky flavor.

The selection of craft beer was very impressive too! With over 21 craft beers on tap, it took me awhile to decide which one to pair with my pizza. In the end, I went with a local pale ale that complemented my pizza perfectly.

I had heard that Taste of Buffalo Pizzeria served some of the best pizza in the area, so when I arrived I couldn’t wait to give it a try. To my delight, their pizza did not disappoint! From the moment I took my first bite, I knew that this place was special – the crust was perfectly crispy and flavorful and the toppings were expertly balanced.

The atmosphere of the restaurant is wonderful as well – cozy and unpretentious, yet also stylish and inviting. The staff is incredibly friendly – they make you feel welcomed right away, like you’re part of a big family.

A big plus is that Taste of Buffalo Pizzeria offers an impressive selection of gourmet pizzas (meat-lovers rejoice!), with lots of different topping combos to choose from. You can also build your own pie if you’re feeling creative!

Overall, I highly recommend Taste of Buffalo Pizzeria – it’s definitely my top pick for the best pizza in Huntersville NC!

#7 Dimaggio’s Pizzeria

I was skeptical at first, especially since the restaurant is so small and unassuming. But once I bit into my first slice of pizza, I was sold! The flavors were so amazing that each bite felt like a party in my mouth.

The crust was soft and buttery, while still remaining crunchy on the edges. The cheese had just enough tanginess to bring out the flavor of the sauce. And speaking of sauce, it had a perfect balance between sweetness and acidity – something that many restaurants struggle to achieve.

From the moment I stepped in, I was greeted by a friendly and helpful staff. The atmosphere was cozy yet inviting, with views of the creek outside the window helping to set the mood.

The pizza selection alone could please any palate from traditional Margherita to Hawaiian and Greek pies. My favorite however were two of their specialty pizzas – The Veggie Firebird and The Cowboy. These pizzas were a flavor explosion! Every bite had something new to offer – perfectly gooey cheese, savory tomatoes, flavorful herbs, and zesty spiced meats.

But Hawthorne’s New York Pizza doesn’t stop at just pizza. They also serve up some amazing Wings Zingers with mango-habanero sauce that will get your taste buds tingling! Plus they always have rotating specials like gourmet mac-n-cheese and loaded fries that can satisfy any craving you may have!

#9 Mama’s Pizza Express of Cornelius

The atmosphere is great and the staff is extremely friendly. When I walked in, they greeted me warmly and showed me to my table.

The menu had so many options to choose from, it was almost overwhelming! I decided to go with their signature ‘Mama’s Special’ – a thin crust pizza loaded with cheese, olives, pepperoni, mushrooms, peppers and onion. It was truly delicious! The crust was crunchy and the toppings were generous yet balanced perfectly. The flavors all complemented each other in a unique way that can only be found at Mama’s Pizza Express.

I washed it down with one of their freshly made lemonades that really hit the spot after indulging in such a delicious pizza. On top of all of this, the prices were very reasonable for such high quality food!

Overall, Mama’s Pizza Express is my go-to spot for great pizza in Huntersville NC. Their pizza is simply unbeatable and I would highly recommend giving them a visit if you ever find yourself in Cornelius!

The pizza was cooked to perfection and the ingredients were fresh and delicious. The crust had a perfect balance of crispiness and chew, and the cheese was melty goodness. I’m not usually fan of toppings on my pizza, but the extra ones that were offered here were tasty and added to the overall flavour.

The atmosphere at Hawthorne’s New York Pizza and Bar Huntersville is cool and relaxed. There’s lots of seating so you can sit down with your friends or family while enjoying your pizza. They also have an insightful staff who are passionate about their craft and always willing to answer questions or provide suggestions if you’re deciding what to order.

As soon as I stepped into the restaurant, I knew I was in for a treat. The atmosphere was inviting and cozy, perfect for enjoying a slice or two. Plus, the waitstaff was incredibly friendly and attentive.

The pizza at Rocky’s Pizza Restaurant is truly something special. The crust is light yet crunchy and cooked to perfection. The toppings are fresh and flavorful, offering something for everyone. Whether you prefer pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms or veggies, Rocky’s has you covered!

My first thought when I tried their pizza was, “Wow! This is amazing!” The crust was thin and perfectly crunchy, the sauce was fresh and flavorful, and the toppings were simply mouthwatering. Everything about it just worked so well together – it really was quite extraordinary.

The atmosphere of Mama’s Pizza Express was also really inviting. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the decor had a nice home-style feel to it. Plus, they have a great selection of beers on tap for those looking to pair their pizza with a cold one.
