To find the best pizza in town, I decided to put 12 different places to the test. Along my journey, I sampled thin-crust, Sicilian, deep-dish, and more! It was a delicious adventure full of cheesy delights.

Of course, with all food critics there comes a certain amount of subjectivity- but that doesn’t mean we can’t have some fun! So grab a slice of pie and join me on this lighthearted quest for the best pizza in Huntington WV!

#1 The Fuel Counter at the Market

The first thing that caught my eye was the casual atmosphere and welcoming staff. It felt like I was part of the family from the moment I walked in the door, which is always a good sign for a place with great pizza.

Once I settled in, I had to try some of their pies. They have an array of options ranging from classic Margherita to creative combinations like chicken bacon ranch and even breakfast pizzas! Every single one was delicious, with a perfect balance between crispy and chewy crusts topped with fresh ingredients and just the right amount of cheese.

The Fuel Counter at the Market also takes pride in their side dishes. From salads to wings to desserts, there’s something for everyone! Plus, they offer vegan and gluten-free options so everyone can enjoy their meal without worry.

#2 Backyard Pizza and Raw Bar

The atmosphere of the place is great – you can watch sports on the big screen TVs, or just sit outside and enjoy the nice weather. Plus, there’s a bar full of alcohol, even hard liquor if that’s your thing!

Though I’m not a vegetarian myself, I was pleasantly surprised to find some really good veggie options on the menu. They also have a kids’ menu which is always appreciated. And if you’re still hungry after all that pizza (unlikely!), they’ve got dessert too.

My only downside was that they don’t offer delivery, but that didn’t stop me from having an incredibly delicious experience at Backyard Pizza and Raw Bar. It’s a great spot for tourists and locals alike, so head down whenever your cravings call for it!

#3 Rapid Fired Pizza

From the outside, the place looks just like any other pizza joint. But when I stepped inside, it was an entirely different story. Everything from the decor to the presentation of the food was on point.

The staff were all friendly and welcoming, and soon enough my pizza was ready. I can honestly say that it was one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had! The flavors were amazing with each bite, super fresh ingredients and perfectly cooked dough.

The atmosphere was great too – it felt like a hip hangout spot that would be fun to bring friends or family to. Plus they have an awesome selection of beers and wines to make your pizza night even better.

The crust was crisp and golden, the cheese perfectly melted, and the toppings were generously applied. My only complaint is that they could have gone easier on the sauce—it was a bit too salty.

The atmosphere at Fazoli’s was also quite enjoyable, with plenty of tables and a lively crowd. The staff were friendly and attentive, always eager to answer questions or offer suggestions.

The first thing that struck me about D P Dough was the variety of crusts available. They offer everything from classic thin to hand-tossed, deep dish and even gluten-free options. I opted for their classic thin crust and it was cooked to perfection with a crispy bottom and just the right amount of cheese.

The toppings were abundant but not overwhelming, providing balance to the dish without overpowering it. From pepperoni and sausage to spinach and mushrooms, the flavor combinations are creative yet familiar and comforting.

I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention the service at D P Dough. The staff was extraordinarily friendly and welcoming, making sure my experience was top notch every step of the way. Plus, they have online ordering if you’re in a rush and delivery available as well!

All in all, I would highly recommend D P Dough to anyone looking for some of the best pizza in Huntington WV—you won’t be disappointed!

From the moment I walked in, I knew this was the place. The atmosphere was inviting and bustling with customers, but not too crowded. Every table had its own server, so you know you’re getting attentive service.

The menu is impressive; they offer a variety of different types of pizzas—from classic to unique. All were absolutely delicious! I opted for their signature Neapolitan-style pizza and it did not disappoint. It was a flavor masterpiece on its own—perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection!

The service staff were friendly and helpful throughout my meal, making sure all my needs were met. I couldn’t have asked for more!

The atmosphere of the restaurant was very inviting. The brick oven, which gave it the name, was a beautiful centerpiece that added to the cozy feel. The staff was friendly and welcoming and they made sure I had all my questions answered.

When it came to their pizzas they were nothing short of amazing! Crusts were thin yet not too chewy and packed with flavor that only comes from using a brick oven. Toppings were fresh and delicious with plenty of combinations to choose from. My favorite choice is definitely the Z BBQ Chicken pizza which is topped with BBQ chicken, bacon, caramelized onions, mozzarella cheese and other tasty ingredients. Simply put – delicious!

Overall, if you’re looking for top-notch pizza in Huntington WV then Z Brick Oven Pizza is the spot for you! They have great ambiance, excellent staff and the best pizzas around. It’s no wonder it’s become one of my favorite restaurants in town!

The atmosphere and staff are friendly, making it a great spot to hang out with friends. The restaurant itself is clean and inviting, so you won’t have any doubts about the hygiene.

It’s not just the atmosphere that makes Gino’s an enjoyable experience. The pizza is truly amazing! Every bite is like heaven itself, with the perfect blend of cheese, tomato sauce, and dough. The ingredients are always fresh and full of flavor. It’s some of the best pizza I’ve ever tasted!

The spaghetti doesn’t disappoint either—it’s perfectly cooked al dente and mixed with flavorful sauces that make your taste buds go wild! Add a side salad or garlic bread on top of that and you’re in truly one-of-a-kind dining experience.

From the crunchy and delicious crust to the generous topping of sauce, this pizza had me hooked from the first bite. The most impressive part was how evenly cooked the pizza was – each slice melted in my mouth.

#12 Giovanni’s Pizza of Huntington

On my recent visit, I had the pleasure of tasting their Pesto Pizzazz—a flavor combination I hadn’t seen before—and it was absolutely delicious. The combination of basil pesto, feta cheese, and sun-dried tomatoes on a thin crust worked perfectly together.

The atmosphere at Giovanni’s is laid back and cozy. They have an excellent selection of craft beers to wash down the pizza with. The staff are friendly and attentive; they always seem to have a positive attitude no matter how busy they are.
