I was immediately impressed with the pizza from Pizza Nerds. From their pies to their calzones, everything is made with the freshest ingredients and cooked to perfection. The crust is flaky, buttery, and crisp. The toppings are plentiful and flavorful–from pepperoni and sausage to roasted vegetables and garlic–there’s something for everyone!
What really sets Pizza Nerds apart from all other pizza places is their creative flavor combinations. One of my favorite pizzas is their Barbecue Bacon Cheddar Supreme–a glorious mix of sweet and smoky barbecue sauce, crispy bacon, gooey cheddar cheese, juicy tomatoes, red onions and a hint of oregano. It’s a perfect balance of flavors that will tantalize your taste buds!
The staff at Pizza Nerds are also incredibly friendly and accommodating. They take the time to talk you through the menu and make sure you get exactly what you want. Plus, every order is made fresh-to-order so you know it will taste great!

#2 Louie’s Pizza
I’m not sure what their secret ingredient is, but the pizza dough was crisp on the outside and fluffy in the middle. The sauce had a perfect balance of sweetness and tanginess without being too overpowering. And I have to mention the cheese – it was generous yet not excessive and oh so flavorful!
The atmosphere of Louie’s Pizza was also top notch. It has a cozy family-run vibe that makes it pleasant to spend time here, even if you’re just popping in for a quick slice.
And finally, there’s the service at Louie’s Pizza – always friendly and fast! I’ve never had such prompt service while eating pizza before.

#3 Creno’s Quickfire Pizza

This place really stands out from the rest of the pizza places I’ve tried. From the moment you walk into Creno’s, you know that you’re in for something special. The ambiance is surprisingly cozy, with an open kitchen and checkered tablecloths to match.
But don’t let that fool you – they take their pizza seriously here. Every pizza is made-to-order and cooked quickly, right before your eyes! Their signature crust is thin and crunchy on the outside, with a soft and chewy interior. Toppings are always fresh and plentiful – my favorite combination was pepperoni and mushrooms.
The pizzas here are so good it makes me wonder how they manage to make them so quickly – but however they do it, I’m grateful! I give Creno’s Quickfire Pizza two big thumbs up – no matter how far I travel in search of great pizza, this is still my favorite spot in Newark OH for sure!
#4 Bavellie’s Pizzeria

From the moment I stepped in, I could tell this was a place that took pizza very seriously. The smell of charred deliciousness wafting through the air greeted me with a warm embrace. The pies coming out of the wood-fired oven looked like handcrafted pieces of art!
The toppings were perfect – they weren’t skimped on, and each one was bursting with flavor. My favorite topping had to be their signature “Bavellie’s Delight” – a medley of prosciutto, sundried tomatoes, garlic, and basil. I couldn’t help but take an extra bite just to savor the combination of flavors!
The crust was so light and fluffy – almost like a cloud! It provided the perfect balance between crunchiness and softness that all great pizzas must strive for. They also served up some delicious authentic Italian wines which paired perfectly with their amazing pies.
I can honestly say that Bavellie’s Pizzeria made some of the best pizza in Newark OH – no doubt about it. Even after having tasted all kinds of competitively delicious pizzas from around the globe, I would gladly return here for more!
#5 Plaza Pizza
My first visit was a true delight. I was greeted at the door by the friendly staff, who were eager to share their knowledge of all the different types of pizza they serve. As I perused the selection, my mouth started to water; there were so many delicious options! I ended up going with a classic pepperoni pizza, which was cooked to absolute perfection. The crust was light and crispy (just how I like it!), and the cheese and sauce melted together in a cheesy harmony that nothing else could compare to.
I would highly recommend Plaza Pizza as one of the best pizzas in Newark OH. It’s definitely worth a try if you want to sample some of the finest pizza around!
#6 Elliot’s Wood Fired Kitchen & Tap

I was really impressed with the atmosphere at Elliot’s. Not only is it a great spot for tourists, but it’s also a great place to watch some sports and have a few drinks (they even serve hard liquor!).
The menu also had a few vegetarian options, which was nice! So whether you’re looking for that ‘meaty’ pizza experience or something lighter and healthier – they’ve got you covered. The desserts were quite delicious as well!
Despite all this greatness I’ve been raving about, there is one downside. They don’t offer delivery…so if you’re looking to stay in your PJs while eating your favorite pizza, you’re out of luck. But at least Elliot’s Wood Fired Kitchen & Tap provides a warm, inviting atmosphere where you can kick back and enjoy some great food with friends or family.
So if there ever comes a time when I’m craving the best pizza in Newark OH, there’s no doubt I’ll be returning to Elliot’s Wood Fired Kitchen & Tap!

The ingredients are spot on, with a perfect combination of value and quality. The crust is the perfect blend of crispy yet chewy and the cheese is always freshly shredded. The toppings are equally as impressive, with an array of fresh ingredients to choose from.
What really stands out about Carmen’s Pizza though is their commitment to flavor. It’s obvious that every pizza here is made with love and care that can be tasted in every single bite. Whether you go for the classic pepperoni or something a bit more daring like pineapple, you won’t be disappointed!
My experience at Carmen’s was full of delicious surprises. From the creative recipes to the friendly service, I can honestly say it’s one of my favorite pizza places to date! #8 Twins Pizza
I’ll start by saying that the atmosphere of the restaurant was very cozy and inviting. I immediately felt at home there as soon as I stepped in. The staff were friendly and accommodating, which made for a pleasant dining experience.
As for the food, it was simply delicious! I had a pepperoni pizza with extra cheese and boy did it hit the spot. The crust was thin and crunchy, the sauce was flavorful, and the toppings were plentiful. I have to say, this is probably one of the best pizzas I have ever tasted in my life!
To top it all off, they offer great deals on their pizza too. You can get two large pizzas for only $20 which is an absolute steal!
Overall, if you’re looking for delicious pizza in Newark OH then Twins Pizza is definitely worth checking out. Highly recommended!

I had heard fantastic things about their pies, so I decided to give it a whirl and try out the pizza for myself. Boy, am I glad I did!
When my order arrived, the aroma alone was enough to make my mouth water. The dough of each slice was perfectly cooked, with a crispy yet light texture that stayed crunchy even after sitting on the plate. And the flavor? Absolutely delightful! The cheese was gooey and mild, while the savory tomato sauce added a nice depth of flavor without being overpowering. Every single bite was an absolute pleasure!
But there’s more than just amazing pizza at Plaza Pizza – it’s also home to some of the friendliest staff around. From the moment I walked in, I felt like we were all part of one big happy family. Even when they were busy taking orders and dealing with customers, they still managed to make time for us to get those juicy slices of pizza we all wanted so badly – now that’s what you call friendly service!

The atmosphere at the restaurant was cozy and inviting. The humble décor featured rustic Italian textures with a modern twist. As I walked in, I could smell the tantalizing aromas coming from their wood-fired ovens. It was like heaven!
And then the pizza arrived and it was pure bliss! Every bite of DeFelice Bros® Pizza – Newark’s signature pies was an explosion of flavor. Every topping, crust, and sauce were perfectly balanced to create a unique taste sensation unlike any other pizza I’ve had before. Even the most discerning palates would be pleased!
I truly believe that DeFelice Bros® Pizza – Newark is among some of the best pizzas in existence, let alone Newark OH. If you’re ever looking for a delicious slice while passing through town, this spot should definitely be on your list.
